If I ever have an issue with a style during or towards the end of my appointment, Bianca is open to feedback and will do her best to give me what I want while maintaining the integrity of my hair. I was worried with my hair history that it wouldn't work out nice, but result turned out even better than I expected! The price stayed pretty true to the amount I was quoted prior to coming in. About $280 which is certainly not cheap, but compared to other quotes I got from other salons in the area, this was the cheapest one I could get. Very happy with the results regardless. It's been about two months and the color is still very vibrant, and definitely turned out much cleaner than if I tried to dye it myself like I usually do, so very worth it in my opinion. No one told me that my services or pricing would change. I said that was fine, but asked what it would cost. I received roundabout answers and had to ask three separate times before finally being told I would be charged $417, the price of my original, much more extensive service. I left without receiving any service and was charged $417. But the most upsetting part was how unkind the experience was. I work a demanding job in DC and was trying to handle the situation responsibly. I called ahead, explained what happened, asked what I should do, and followed their direction to come in. Anyone working in this city knows that meetings run over. I was not asking them to ignore their policies. I was asking for basic communication and consideration. Instead, I felt like I had to repeatedly push just to get a straight answer about what I was being charged. That lack of transparency, and especially the lack of kindness, was incredibly disappointing. There are plenty of professional, transparent, and genuinely considerate salons in DC.
