The first time they even texted details about his day to help us feel more comfortable leaving him at a new place. Every time he comes home from Sylvan, we can tell he misses all the friends he made at the kennel - human and other dog friends. The rescue is fully run and operated by dedicated professionals, animal rescuers, and animal lovers. I am so grateful to have made this rescue and all of the people who make it part of my own adopted family here in Washington. I now "fospice" foster for some of the rescues unadoptables. To keep the shelter open for adoptable pets, and really get behind "no ferret turned away", and remain a no-kill shelter, a lot of the shelter's more complicated kiddos are hanging out with so many of our volunteers, enjoying the final years of life in a home.
