I can't tell you how much they help our frenchie Apollo, everyone got to listen to me cry over the health of our boy. They took such good care of him and I love the Doctor, nurse and all the staff. They are stuck with family! Thank you all so much again and bless you!

Dr. Thomas is hands down the best veterinarian I have ever taken my dogs to, and I'm very picky! I honestly cannot say enough good things about her. After taking my dogs to SO many various clinics, I can honestly say Dr.Thomas tops them ALL by a long shot. She is incredibly knowledgeable, very genuine and caring.

    Poor Daisy!

If I could give zero stars I would. Long rant. Sorry. I never have been so upset. The manager had NO EMPATHY for my situation and continued to just turn the situation BACK on me because I "no showed" for an appointment...an appointment which they made a HUGE deal about the fact the were squeezing me in and going completely out of their way and what an inconvenience it was.... Series of events: Tuesday I called. Dodger and Daisy super sick for two days and quickly declining. Obviously got into something. They couldn't get them in. I was at a loss. They finally made a big deal about squeezing them in the next day at 11:30 line it was a major inconvenience. They even called back to tell me to expect a long wait because they were being squeezed in. Recommended ER if they get worse. They said drop off poop sample if I can so they can send to lab. So I get one of Dodgers that wasn't runny and drop it off. Daisy takes a turn for the worse. 3 hours of vomiting and uncontrollable diarrhea and 3 hours of no movement at all. We go to ER. There forever and not home until after midnight. I got a reminder call at 11:15 this morning about their 11:30 appt and totally forgot because I'm exhausted from being at ER last night for 8 hours and didn't get home until after midnight. Both were starting to turn the corner so I said we're okay, Daisy went to ER last night and got treatment and Dodger is feeling better. The person I spoke to understood and everything seemed to be fine. It wasn't like they had time to see them anyway and that appointment was forced on their schedule. Fast forward to this afternoon. They call with the fecal test results for a sample I dropped off yesterday for Dodger. They have coccidia (a parasite). They tell me they need medication for it. I'm like great, let's do it. Nope! Not without an appointment for both of them. But no appointment for two weeks. So I'm like what do I do? Now they tell me they need to be treated but they can't prescribe without a visit. The ER is my only resort according to them. So I call ER from last night. They are SHOCKED that they are regular patients and they wouldn't treat them. So I call back to ask about their policy and ask to talk to the manager. I was just inquiring as to their policy and asking if there is anything that they could do. My dogs need medication. The office manager quickly snapped and blamed me for no showing at the appointment. I told her I didn't no show that I talked to someone and explained the situation. She said that was at 11:15 for an 11:30 appointment so that is a no show. Really??? Now I'm upset and a bit defensive. I said you are missing my point, if you just take out the fact of the ER Visit last night and the appointment today, what you are saying is that my dogs are sick and need medicine and you can't see them for two weeks. She AGAIN says week you could have been seen at 11:30 today. She continued to blame me rather than help with a solution. No problem solving. No care about my dogs health. Asked about if they don't get the meds what can happen...I don't know I'm not a vet. Really???? How about "let me talk to the vet and see what more I can find out??? This goes on. Keeps going back to the appointment I missed rather than trying to help me solve for this issue. She was snotty and rude. Then she says, "if you continue to talk to me in that tone (?) I'll have to have up" to which I replied "don't worry I'll never be coming back". If I talk to HER with tone? Wow! I don't know if I could give justice on this review to how this happened and how rude she was. I will NEVER recommend anyone to go there. That was the worst customer experience I've had in a long time. She clearly forgot their mission was to help save our little fur babies lives.

I am a first time Client to Horse Cart. I was pleasantly surprised at the awesome quality of care, down home friendly feel of Staff and happy pets!! We saw Dr Thomas DVM. She takes FANTASTIC X-rays, she is knowledgeable and explains things so you can understand. It's so hard to find a Vet who is so well rounded. I found their pricing to be average w above average care and compassion. Fantastic Vet Clinic

They were going to do a urinalysis but we never heard anything from anyone after my husband left the office. We were told it would be overnight and we would hear from someone in the morning. By Saturday evening I had left messages on both answering lines. I drove by to see if any lights were on. I called other vets for advice. All three vets said to call the police. I reached out in a neighborhood group to see if i could find contact info for a staff member. I was given a cell-number, texted, and left "on read" for 45 minutes before I was told the doctor would call. During this time I had more pet owners encouraging me to call the police non-emergency line to see if they had a phone number. We didn't get a response from Dr. Busina until she found out I had attempted to have Yelm PD help me find contact information. (They had no contact info for anyone. What happens to the pets staying there in an emergency such as a break in or fire?!). I did NOT report any crime; I ONLY asked if someone could help me make contact with staff. Dr. Busina finally called my husband, and told us to come pick Rose up. She hung up on him. When we arrived we were told she had not produced urine during her 48 hours kenneled with an empty littler box and that is why they didn't call or respond to any messages. (We were not told we would only get a call IF she peed, or that this was their plan to try for a sample. It's never worked on her before and we could have said so.) There was no apology or hint of accountability for our distress. We just "should have known" our cat may not have peed in 48 hours. We were guilted about vets having a high rate of suicide and regarding her donating her time to care for Rose over the weekend. I emphasized my issue was not with her skill or compassion towards animals, it was the complete and total absence of any communication. I was told by her that contacting the police was unacceptable: I cannot agree with this based on the fact I made the call on the advice of three other vet clinics, other pet owners, AND THE COP AND DISPATCH SAID IT WAS A VALID USE OF THEIR RESOURCES. We were told we were not welcome to be patients any longer; I replied that she was absolutely not the vet for us based on the absence of communication and we would be removing all of our animals from her care. After taking Rose to a different vet this morning we were able to confirm in less than an hour via a sterile urine removal (that Bloom apparently should have done). She did NOT have a UTI, meaning that she had been kenneled for 48 hours with a litter box she where she have contaminated the urine sample with feces anyway... and it would not have told us anything to help her because SHE HAS AN UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION! Bottom line... by removing Rose from Dr. Busina's care.... She might even make it to the ripe old age of 20.

Dr. French is by far the most caring, wonderful, amazing vet I have ever come across. My Gracie (6 year old "puppy") was very anemic and we couldn't figure out why and Dr. French referred us to an internal specialist. After she was diagnosed and put on meds we had some additional difficulties keeping Gracie healthy due to her condition. Dr. French has been there every step of the way as if we were family and as if Gracie was her own dog. Dr. French hospitalized Gracie for a few days and kept us up to date on our baby. She came in on her days off to watch over Gracie and made sure she was getting cared for properly. The other vet techs were so loving and understanding of how we felt and couldn't be more loving of our Gracie. Dr. French called us everyday and allowed us to come and visit Gracie and walk her while she was in Dr. French's care. She made calls to the specialist for a second opinion of what she though would be best for our pup and kept us informed. They saved our girl. We cannot thank them enough...I only hope someday we could do something as special and meaningful for her and the staff..as they have done for us. Thank you.

When I show up, they are ready at that time. I have been to groomers that would keep my girls for FIVE hours or more, and just tell you they will call you when your animal is ready. That's just ridiculous. Both of my girls get excited when I tell them I am taking them to the groomers. They used to shake when they would first come out of the carrier, but that was just due to the strange scents and what not. Now they come out wagging their tails and crawl right to Taylor and Joe. I am constantly asked where I take my girls because their grooming is so good. I HIGHLY recommend Calming Nature. You won't be disappointed. Yes their prices have gone up, but they did not raise their prices for the longest time AND they are still cheaper than any place anyone I know takes their dogs. That is NOT a reason to give them a bad review. They also have their cancellation policy posted, they are a business and have people wanting appointments. If you cancel last minute, they can't fill that appointment. Joe is so great about listening to what you like, or what you don't like and will implement it for you. I have asked him to try something new just to see if I would like it and realized I did not in fact like it at all. It just ended with a "let's not do that again."
