This has to be the most caring veterinary office I have ever experienced. We had to bring our cat Frankie in to be put to sleep. The kindness and caring the staff and Dr showed was so much more than we expected. The gentle way they handled her, and the understanding they showed. Having to say goodbye to a pet you've had for many years is difficult at best. I can't say enough about how caring everyone was. There was no rush, we were welcomed to stay with Frankie for as long as we wished after she passed. Her passing was absolutely the most peaceful I have ever witnessed. This clinic has always been on top of the care for our sandy. They even made arrangements so we could pick up some medication after hours since we live way out of town. They fought as hard as we did to keep our elder dog (18) as healthy as could be. They were very kind when bone cancer showed on X-ray along with a fracture and waited tell I could get there after work so I could say good bye. read more

TLC Veterinary Clinic failed to perform a proper sick pet exam on our feline companion. TLC was provided all of our vaccination records and documentation from our previous veterinary clinic. They did not thoroughly examine the documents given that stated our feline's vaccinations were all current and up to date. Because of their neglect, they did not run any tests to see if our kitty was okay or if they had an serious health conditions. In addition, they refused to do a nail trim on our feline due to fear of our pet having rabies (in which our pets vaccination was up to date). We were left with a decent bill but not an inkling of what could be wrong with our pet leaving us with little ease to our worries. We felt the staff were very impersonal and did not care for our pet and their well-being. I do not know how they could ever re-earn my respect and loyalty to TLC. read more

My family has gone to this little clinic for 2 decades now. They have cared for our pets from adoption to putting them down 10 years later. Great staff, very kind and helpful, and love our animals like we love them. Low staff turnover, too, so they really know you and your pets over time! I've never felt like my pets are just another patient. I can't imagine going anywhere else. ALSO, once my cat got super sick and dr Miller referred us to a specialist at OVS, and eventually he needed weekly feeding tube cleanings/changes. Let me just tell you that Dr Miller charged far less than the specialist. I saw them every week for months and they saved me soooo much money in kitty bandage changes. I was so grateful! And now my kitty is better than ever, and will likely die of old age rather than the bacteria. read more

We have three dogs and wouldn't take them any where else. They are high energy and difficult to work with, and the staff always greets us with a smile and patience. I often Facebook message them while panicking, and even on their days off (Sunday at 7am for example) they respond quickly and offer suggestions to make puppy comfortable until they can get in. They put up with multiple phone calls over the last few days, got us in as soon as they could when needed, and always remembered and referenced our cats medical history when we came in. I have been with Dr Miller for well over 10 years for 2 animals. Today, our dog all of a sudden couldn't breathe and was in severe respiratory distress. We tried two local Emergency Pet Vets and both were unavailable due to Doctor's calling out. So, naturally we call Dr Miller's office for advice. I explained our dog's tongue was blue and she is having a very hard time. We were told sorry, that other people had appointments and that we needed to go elsewhere. I explained that none of the emergency vets were available and that we are scared. The person on the phone told us we would need to visit an ER Vet in Tacoma called Blue Pearl then. I explained that we didn't have the time based on the traffic, her tongue being blue and I was scared she wouldn't make it. I then asked "So if I'm understanding correctly you are refusing to see us without speaking to the Vet and telling us to risk our Dog's life and drive to Tacoma?" To which we were told "Yes." We were not given the option for a triage. No options were given. As established patients for over a decade that have been with Dr. Miller since Banfield and supported her when she had a dream fulfilled of her own practice, this was shocking. We are currently driving to RENTON because no one is available today. Lost all trust in TLC's care today. read more

I was treated with respect, I was listened to and wasn't shamed for asking "silly" questions about my dogs wellbeing. I was offered a payment plan when we realized the costs of treatment was much more than I could afford. The next tonight the emergency we were worried might happen actually happened, my pup spent a very expensive night in the hospital and when I called the vet here at TLC she was willing to sacrifice her lunch break to give my puppy the surgery he needed, saving us $1500 from having to do it at the Er. I'm very blessed to have found dr Miller and would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. read more

I was not impressed with this clinic. Our regular vet could not see our dog and referred this place. The staff was friendly, and very courteous. But the Vet was not. First she thought our dog got into something to make him hunch over. Then she thought there was bruising on his stomach area, there wasn't, his skin is very light and his veins show through. Then after all this she tells me basically the only option was an MRI and surgery inTacoma. After pressuring me to make a decision I called my husband who wanted a second opinion, after telling the vet this, she became very snotty, and said we didn't need a second opinion, she knew exactly what it was. After coming to the Olympia pet hospital, we were offered other options and no he does not need immediate surgery. read more

I'm disappointed to be writing this. I had taken our elderly dog in several times recently. The last week of his life, I knew something was really wrong, but each time I called I was told it was because he was nauseous from his ear infection antibiotics. I called twice and went into the office to pick up yet another prescription the day before he died. I told the front person at the front desk that he was really bad, couldn't sleep, thrown up and his stomach was bloated (I reiterated more than once and I was crying on the phone when I told her this) She continued to explain to me how antibiotics make HER feel and that's it all due to the antibiotics. She said it would be a different story if he were pale or had mucus membranes coming from his ear, but didn't tell me how either of those things presented themselves. All of this after I told her he still had blood and yellow discharge coming from his ear after a round and a half of antibiotics and wouldn't eat. The next morning I checked his gums (per Google, not the vet) and they were white. The ER vet took him in immediately and within 10 minutes they determined he had significant internal bleeding throughout his body. While I know the outcome for our sweet boy may have been the same, it would have been nice for him to be seen because I really think she would have seen something was terribly wrong. We had a vet apt. The next week and when I canceled our apt. let them know that our dog had to be put down, no concerns or questions were asked and zero follow up. I honestly expected them to care more about him than than that. read more

I called my usual vet because my dog has blood in his eye, and she recommended me to this vet. I called and all the lady said was they were booked and all she said was sorry, like are you kidding me! but then she said it's something that needs to be seen right away, and she brought up the next day having an appointment at 5:30 but then all she did was hang up on me when I was trying to ask questions of what to do because obviously I am worried ! Brought my puppy to TLC Vet Clinic and I can truly say that the staff is very respectable and friendly. However, during our visit we explained to the Vet exactly want was symptoms our puppy was experiencing (such as vomiting and severe coughing) and she assumed our certainty to be false without proof and question every explanation given in regards to his respiratory system. Dr. Shea took an "EDUCATIONAL" guess without a X-Ray's or MRI...nothing more but a simply pull on his throat to diagnose him with a Collapsed trachea. Explaining that he will pretty much live with this for the rest of his life and surgery would be an alternative in order to assist with his trachea. After receiving a second opinion, turns out he had a canine cough. It's very disappointing and uncomfortable to have a professional take an educated guess on the health of your puppy, charge you, and send you home with WRONG information. I do not recommend this facility. read more
