I had just moved to the area and was looking for a new mechanic when my car needed urgent repair. I was desperate and came here after reading all of the good reviews, but that was a big mistake. I voiced my concerns and told them I feel ripped off, but they refused to budge at all on the bill. Maybe this place is good for rich people with fancy cars, but if you are a regular person like me then do yourself a huge favor and stay away from Altamonte Springs Automotive. If it seems too good to be true then it most likely is.

The first two issues were fixed with no problem, but I had an issue with an expensive part. They verified and issued a prompt warranty part, which would be the end of it for other shops. The problem persisted, but instead of giving up, as most shops would do, they dug in. It took a little bit to finish it off as there were some other variables involved, but Jose, the manager and an incredible mechanic, and Aaron, the owner himself, worked with me to ensure that in the end, I was treated fairly. There is nothing nice i can say about this shop. Not only…read moredid they do the work incorrectly. (Both front wheel bearings) - less than a month went by and they were already bad again. Same noise came back. Took it back to them - they claimed it was my transmission and not the work they did. 1st time. With an older vehicle it was not worth it to put in a USED $3500 transmission... so with this economy i told them ill just drive the car till it dies then. The noise got so bad I took my car to another shop who was able to tell me whoever touched my car last ALSO messed up my brakes, calibers, and routers. Cost to fix $1700. Immediately im upset, call martys back they tell me dont they get first dibs to take a look since they did the work. - ummm yes however you had that chance over a month ago. Feb was the first time martys worked on my car. March the noise came back. April this new shop was able to see whats wrong. So ran the car back over to martys who again claimed and put in writing - "theres no damage and there is a noise coming from the transmission". I inform the new shop of what martys is telling me and they basically screamed at me "IT'S NOT THE TRANSMISSION!". ok well what now? Still cant afford $1700 when its martys who caused all this damage and wont take responsibility. Finally I couldn't take the noise anymore. End of June took it to yet a 3rd shop! Who was able to diagnose - yup its the wheel bearings. Installed incorrectly- they were destroyed. So I collected all this evidence. All the invoices, photos, videos, written statement etc. Sent a demand letter which martys never replied to. So I guess leaving reviews is the only way to get thier attention. Not only was the 2nd repair even more expensive I LITERALLY HAD TO PAY TWICE FOR THE FRONT 2 WHEEL BEARINGS SINCE MARTYS bent 1 part of my vehicle so the fix was even more expensive the 2nd time around, they also grounded down another part. Both of which I had to replace. NEVER GO HERE. I thought w all this documentation written statements etc. Id be able to get my money back (which im due more since they cause more damage) but they think its cute to leave it unanswered showing bad faith. At this point I dont anticipate any money back from martys- sad very shady business. I ended up having to spend way more than $3500 due to thier negligence.

I've been using Tire Kingdom in Sanford for just about all of my auto repairs for years but after…read moremy most recent incident, I don't think I will be back. They replaced my AC compressor a few years back and everything was working fine until about two weeks ago when my AC stopped blowing cold. I verified that the system was completely empty and could see oil dripping from my vehicles under cover. Unfortunately, my vehicle sits low to the ground and I don't have a means to safely lift a 4,383 lb. vehicle so I decided to take my vehicle to Brad Green at Green's Auto and Marine. We used Brad Green previously for my wife's vehicle, she also had a bad AC compressor. Brad did a fantastic job and got her back on the road the same day we dropped it off. Since then, Brad has moved to a newer and much larger location with more bays which allows his team to work on just about everything except European vehicles. While we were on site, he was rebuilding a Corvette LS motor and servicing two larger commercial fleet vehicles. Brad's diagnosis was that the tech from Tire Kingdom who installed my new AC compressor must have lost the OEM bolt that holds the compressor to the block. The bolt used was not the proper thread or length. The bolt held for a while but since it only caught 2/8" of the female threads inside the block and cross threaded the threads it did catch, it was only a matter of time before it would break loose. Fortunately, my AC compressor was still in good working condition. As soon as I noticed the issue I kept my AC off until repairs could be made. Brad re-tapped my block to repair the threads and replaced the improper bolt with one that is the proper length and matching threads. After evacuation and recharge, Brad had my vehicle back on the road again. My total bill was $436.03. Brad charged $189 for the Vac/Recharge, $135 for an hour and half labor, and there was a $16 charge for using a credit card. So, if you are looking to save a little, I recommend using cash. Brad was very friendly and informative. He answered all of my questions and walked me through all the steps required to diagnose and make repairs. He did not try to charge me for things I did not need, and he listened intently when I explained the sequence of operation leading up to my AC failure. Fair warning, during my visit I was a little worried Brad would not be able to get to my vehicle right away because he is currently only a two man show and has recently taken on a large fleet of vehicles, 300+ for a contractor that performs traffic control systems throughout Florida. Regardless, he was able to make same day repairs to get me back in business again, which I really appreciate; thank you Brad! All-in-all, I highly recommend giving Green's Auto & Marine an opportunity for your business if you are in the need for auto repairs. Brad and his team are honest, hardworking, and truly care about helping the customer, we will be back!
