There is nothing nice i can say about this shop. Not only did they do the work incorrectly. (Both front wheel bearings) - less than a month went by and they were already bad again. Same noise came back. Took it back to them - they claimed it was my transmission and not the work they did. 1st time. With an older vehicle it was not worth it to put in a USED $3500 transmission... so with this economy i told them ill just drive the car till it dies then. The noise got so bad I took my car to another shop who was able to tell me whoever touched my car last ALSO messed up my brakes, calibers, and routers. Cost to fix $1700. Immediately im upset, call martys back they tell me dont they get first dibs to take a look since they did the work. - ummm yes however you had that chance over a month ago. Feb was the first time martys worked on my car. March the noise came back. April this new shop was able to see whats wrong. So ran the car back over to martys who again claimed and put in writing - "theres no damage and there is a noise coming from the transmission". I inform the new shop of what martys is telling me and they basically screamed at me "IT'S NOT THE TRANSMISSION!". ok well what now? Still cant afford $1700 when its martys who caused all this damage and wont take responsibility. Finally I couldn't take the noise anymore. End of June took it to yet a 3rd shop! Who was able to diagnose - yup its the wheel bearings. Installed incorrectly- they were destroyed. So I collected all this evidence. All the invoices, photos, videos, written statement etc. Sent a demand letter which martys never replied to. So I guess leaving reviews is the only way to get thier attention. Not only was the 2nd repair even more expensive I LITERALLY HAD TO PAY TWICE FOR THE FRONT 2 WHEEL BEARINGS SINCE MARTYS bent 1 part of my vehicle so the fix was even more expensive the 2nd time around, they also grounded down another part. Both of which I had to replace. NEVER GO HERE. I thought w all this documentation written statements etc. Id be able to get my money back (which im due more since they cause more damage) but they think its cute to leave it unanswered showing bad faith. At this point I dont anticipate any money back from martys- sad very shady business. I ended up having to spend way more than $3500 due to thier negligence. read more

I called a week in advance to schedule a 60k service and to check my ABS. They told me they will take care of my wrangler. I brought it in early around 7:45am. I get a call around 3pm saying they just did a diagnostic and noticed fault in ABS. They did not do my 60k service. To be sent a link with all these outrages charges. And they only preformed an oil change. I took my wrangler to another mechanic in the area. I still had the same filters on previously and they took care of all my wrangler issues in a day. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. THEY ARE NOT EXPERIENCED MECHANICS AND WILL WASTE YOUR TIME. I SPENT 26$ on a fake oil change. I could have did myself. read more

Retired now but spent 24 years in the automotive industry. I took my truck to Marty after new owners took over there once and will not go back again; even to just fix a kid's tricycle. spent well over $2000 dollars to repair a few items and they fixed nothing. Plus, they cracked my dash. They just did not care. read more

First time here, recommend by my coworker. They open at 7:30 which is a plus. They also have a courtesy shuttle to take u home or work if near of course. The thing that I appreciated the most was that they text you as soon as your car is done. That to me was wonderful, I hate to be calling for updates on the car when I leave it. Good prices, friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be bringing my car back for other work. read more

Martys Auto Works - Front of business - Auto Repair Near Me - Longwood, Florida

I depend on Marty's for all my vehicle mechanical needs, I honestly do trust them. Good hours aw well 730 to 6 pm

They wont provide estimates even with a known issue. They refuse to assist with tow trucks, to get an estimate I would have to haul my car there without assitance from the shop. For a mechanic shop, I found them unprepared, not able to deliver. Unfortunately, I would not deal with them again. read more

We have a 2006 Sienna with 150,000 miles. Replacing it isn't in the budget, but for years we felt like we were throwing money at problems that kept getting worse. The van had ongoing suspension issues, vibration, and brake noises that made driving stressful--and sometimes frightening. We went from shop to shop, but the results were always the same: slightly better for a while, but never fixed. Anytime we returned with concerns, we were treated like a burden. We kept hearing, "that's just the way these vans are," while our tires wore out quickly and the noise got louder. It left us frustrated, worried, and unsure what to do. We searched again and found Marty's Automotive Longwood. We were skeptical, but from the moment we walked in, we could tell it was different. They listened. They asked smart, relevant questions. They took our concerns seriously. And they showed real confidence that their team could solve the problem. They communicated with us immediately and kept us informed throughout the repair process--something we are absolutely not used to. They set expectations honestly and delivered exactly what they promised. We dropped off a van that felt unsafe...and within a few days, we picked up a vehicle that drives better than it has in years. The improvement was dramatic. There was no pressure to do extra repairs, no upselling, no talking down to us. Just respect, honesty, transparency, and excellent workmanship. Marty's Automotive Longwood has earned our complete trust. We'll be regular customers from now on and confidently recommend them for any of your repair needs. read more

Not only do they do excellent work at reasonable prices but also answer your questions and offer alternatives if oy! Com

I took my 2013 F150 to Marty's for transmission problems in 11/2024. The vehicle was diagnosed as needing a new transmission. I purchased a new transmission the work wasn't completed on time and a transmission was still bothering me because sometimes it would make a clunk sound I figured maybe it needed time to sink to the vehicle. The transmission still lol was giving me problems I went back to Marty's and was advised that the transmission was sounding and acting this way because one of the spark plugs was causing the problem. I had this problem fixed and for a little while all seemed good. The transmission started making a clunking. Fast forward I had to have a turbo line replaced so they removed the cab and found that there were 6 bolts missing from the transmission. I reported this to the shop along my with photos and the bill from Tire Kingdom and they took my information and a day later or so I was texted saying they were willing to give me a 100 dollars of any future service. I asked him if this would be enough if this was his vehicle and he said he wasn't looking for an argument so he send in a request 50 fifty dollars for the 6 bolts. I really felt insulted and told him to wouldn't accept 50 dollars how much would it cost to drop the transmission and replace the 6 bolts? read more

Best in all of Central Florida been going to Marty's for over 25 years.Quality work ,honest, straight shooter, no B.S.

Incredible service once again at Marty's. They provided a detailed inspection report which included pics and explained all of the issues. After leaving the shop, I noticed the AC was no longer working. Returned and they immediately discovered an issue when everything was put back together. They fixed it and I was back in the road in just a few minutes. Never made excuses and just fixed it. Class act! Highly recommended auto shop. read more

If you've been looking for an HONEST, SKILLED auto repair/maintenance business, then look no further. For years I had taken my car to the dealership where I bought it, when I realized they were not as ethical and honest as I thought. The conundrum I faced was finding a place like Marty's--especially since I know nothing about car mechanical things. After reading the other reviews, I decided to give them a try, and now wouldn't think of taking my car anywhere else. I've taken it in for repairs, new tires, oil changes, and the work has always been done perfectly at reasonable prices. They are up front about what needs to be done and don't surprise you with additional charges at the end. I highly recommend Marty's Auto Works. read more

Martys Auto Works - Auto Repair Near Me - Longwood, Florida

Great ppl great service! Love Marty's auto works. They always give me and my family great service.

I own a 2004 Ford Expedition (254,000 miles) and have been taking it to Marty's for over a year. Always on time, never overcharged or had unnecessary work recommended. Just had my wife's 2002 Mercedes CLK320 worked on at Marty's Longwood shop. Another European "specialist" shop overcharged and overworked the car and it came back with the same problems after a $1,000 bill. Marty's diagnosed the problem and had the Benz running like a top in no time for about $300. Mechanics are honest and the work is always the right fix for the problem. Talk to Nick, he will take care of you and your vehicle. This is my first review of any business, I can't say enough good things about this place. Brian L. Winter Springs, FL read more

I called and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Nick and to my surprise he was very knowledgeable regarding mechanical related inquiries. So when I explained to him that my truck dash A/C wasn't functioning at all. He was able to provide me with list of potential reasons as to why that was the case and how much it would cost worst case scenario if it was a bad compressor. I scheduled an appointment, I arrived and departed from their shop within a couple hours - my system was simply low on Freon. Why am I recommending? Nick gave me a price in the event the worst case scenario was the case I wouldn't have been in for any unexpected and unreasonable charges. Most mechanic shops will NOT be upfront with you and they'll preach this I need to see your vehicle first before I can diagnose the issue and then when you ask for a estimate they either can't tell you try to charge you TWICE as much as what any reputable mechanic would. Also I'd like to give a special thanks to Chris the technician who even showed me firsthand what to look for regarding Freon leaks and I have to say, Marty's Auto Works is definitely a place you'll want to do business with simply because they are qualified, professional and upfront with integrity when it comes to getting an estimate for an issue and getting the problem fixed! read more

I went to a different mechanic for over 20 years here in Longwood. I recently gave Marty's a try last year and boy am I glad I did. They are the best. They have a free shuttle service as well. When you work long hours at "big brown" it is hard to drop off a car and get to work. They dropped me off at work! They have even come and picked me up to retrieve my car. Their prices are fair, their craftsmanship great and their service exemplary! read more

As always, I only have good things to say about my experience with Marty's. This is THE ONE PLACE I know I can go and get an honest and fair evaluation! I thought my car needed brake pads, but your team looked over the car and told me I still had 80% of the pads. You guys noticed my tires were low on air, you filled and rotated the tires and I was charged $20 for the check up. I always walk away knowing the truth and knowing I have never been taken advantage of at any time! Thank you, once again! I will NEVER go any other place to service my car! read more

The prices are competitive, the work completed in a reasonable amount of time, and most importantly, done correctly the first time. I have never been pushed toward a repair or preventative maintenance that I don't need. As a matter of fact, John and Nick have always steered me away from unnecessary work that I requested. They are ethical, and professional every single time. Thank you for a great auto shop! read more

These are honest knowledgeable people. I've taken several vehicles in for diagnostic or repair. They take the time to check problems and fix them right. They charge less than the dealership but more than shade tree mechanics. The first time I took a car in for repair I got a thank you card in the mail. Now you don't see that often in today's business world. read more

My wife and I have taken our two vehicles to Marty's Auto Works since they rolled off the new car lots at local GMC and Nissan dealerships. Together, the van and the truck have a half million miles+ and are still going strong! I have gone to Marty's Auto Works for all my car repair/maintenance needs for several years (maybe 9 years). I absolutely recommend them without hesitation. Congrats on winning the Angies List 2013 Super Service Award! Well deserved. I don't know very much about cars, so it's super important to me to have someone I can trust. I need my car fixed, but I don't like feeling scammed. Marty's always explains what the problem is, and options to fix it. Everyone is courteous and professional. I definitely recommend Marty's to everyone. (BTW, I don't often give 5 star ratings!) read more

I recently had a very positive experience at Marty's Auto Works. Service advisor John at Marty's is a true professional. First, John technically understands vehicles. He was able to help me understand what was wrong with my vehicle and how to fix it. Second, and more importantly, John has the ability to communicate with customers who do not know much about cars. Because John possesses both technical and communication skills he does his job very well. read more
