Then quoted me a insane total amount that works out to about $38.00 per tire. Other places charge $25.00 per tire. Of course I was doing all four tires but all other companies charge PER TIRE. Scotty is the man. Brought my Tacoma in to get my brakes done which they did for almost half of what I was quoted at the dealership. They were fine and then a day later were squeaking. Turns out I had drove over some debris and it got caught between the pad and the rotor. He replaced pads and rotors completely under warranty even though he could have probably just removed the debris and let it ride. This shop is great! The guys are friendly but uber professional. I've been coming for maintenance on my vehicle for a little less than 5 years now. They are ALWAYS busy and they service the area's law enforcement vehicles as well. Today, I came in needing a bit more work on my car than the norm and was made to feel comfortable (free coffee, cookies, water and was even included on their lunch pizza run). They recently opened another location and renovated their lobby. It doesn't smell or look like the normal auto shop which is typically greasy and reeks of oil. "Thieves" would be an understatement. They quoted me around $100 to check for A/C-related leaks (A/C was working fine while it had Freon but it'd run out -leak- and start blowing warm). They called me telling me I had to replace some "electrical parts" which would cost me an extra $200. I said "ok." So...$300. "No leaks, just the electrical issues, you're good to go!" 5 minutes after leaving the shop, the A/C started blowing warm. Came back, they asked me to leave the car. Next morning I come by and they tell me the compressor (which we had replaced a few weeks before bringing it here) was bad and needed to be replaced. They quoted me $1600. When I questioned their services, they got upset and the mood quickly changed. They got somewhat aggressive. Went home, bought a dye leak detector on amazon for $50. Found the little leak, fixed it, added freon...and that was it! Cold air without any issues. So yeah, stay the fuck away from them. read more

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR BUSINESS HERE. I paid for a diagnosis and was told I needed one part for $500. I agreed and several days later they called and said they needed another part which brought the total up to $150. I told them to remove the parts because they gave us a different quote initially. They refused and instead offered us a discount on the additional part. We paid for the service and the car broke down a week later due to their negligence. Despite everything still being under warranty, they're refusing to work on my vehicle or provide me with a refund because the president of Expert Car Care told them not to. They provided me with an email to contact and my emails are being ignored. They have no additional contact information they're able to provide me with. It's looking like I'm going to have to take legal action just to get my money back or car repaired. UPDATE: After being lied to by Zack that he was unable to work on my car, even though the parts and labor were still under warranty, the GM James replied to me and told me I could bring in my car and that if they were at fault the tow, diagnosis, and repair would be on them. Great timing as I had already paid $64 to have it towed and $135 for a diagnosis at the dealership. Screw this place. read more

Let me just say that I am so pleased with the work I had done on my Ford Truck..I had my truck repaired in FEBRUARY with a different shop and they did very unsafe shotty work and basically I was driving around in a death mobile with my children. I find this location to be untrustworthy. I required work on my car to fix a few things 3 months ago and got it fixed at this shop. The parts broke (which isn't entirely their fault aside from potentially cheap products) and when attempting to get my car fixed under warranty, they attempted to charge me ahead of time "in case" my brand new coolant hoses broke when they were removing my radiator. I refused and when I was picking up my vehicle, an older woman with a brand new SUV was told that she needed new brakes, but she stated that the vehicle only had 20,000 miles on it (Factory brakes typically last multiple years). I don't trust this shop. Further, the woman working the front counter became angry over the phone when I told her that I would not be paying for the coolant hoses. Personally, I avoid shops that have front desk workers that are not mechanics themselves. This is one of the reasons that I chose to bring my car to PepBoys which, conveniently, is right across the street. They even brought the price down $200-300 and did not mention the possibility of breaking radiator hoses. read more

I am new to Orlando and trusted AAA rated repair shops. Looking for a new home for all my car repairs. First two visits were perfect. Sent several referrals to them. On the third visit, I was told my tires were dry rotting and I need extensive repairs to the rear suspension.I was quoted a repair of over $2000. Since it was a 2006 Dodge Minivan, investing that much for repairs was not an option. Tires were under warranty and so I returned to the location I purchased them. Turns out the tires were fine after everyone had a good laugh. The $2000 + quote from Expert Care turned out to be a $78 repair at a different garage. I have reported this to AAA and have I discovered they have a reputation for doing this. Find a different repair shop. read more

As good as it gets as far as auto service goes. My Daughter is a college student and had her battery light come on while away at school. She took her car to a local auto parts store where was told that her alternator was bad. After searching online for a repair shop, I found Expert Car Care was the closest shop to her. I called and talked to Scott. He told me that if we got it in soon that he could have it back same day. Had the car towed to the shop (yes it died as she was taking it home to here apt) Long story short.. The car was fixed within 3 hours for a fair price (even a student discount)and no attempt to sell parts that didn't need to be replaced. In the past, the service to my car was never questionable and I trusted them. However, due to my past few experiences, not only will I not return but they're not trustworthy. First, for 2-3 yrs I have had constant rotor problems. Each time I took my car back they said it was maybe my pads, they replaced them under warranty, but the time i spent dropping my car off and picking it up was ridiculous. Well, this final time I had driven for months on pulsating brakes because I was so sick of taking my car in. Til one day I got fed up and stopped in. i explained my frustration and was told "do you go through a car wash? I said "no". They said sometimes if you come off the highway and into a car wash that will warp your rotors. I don't know how true that is, but they replaced the rotors for a third time and that seems to be the resolution. Second, a few months back my car had bad ignition coils. After spending 540.00 on new coils, I thought, great the problem is resolved. Well, two days later the same symptoms started but sporadic. I took the car back and they said "we think its your pre-cat. that can go in these cars and it can damage your motor, so its needed right away. we can do that for 2300. to replace the exhaust system because we dont' know if its the pre-cat and rear cat" I was horrified because I obviously didn't want to have to buy a new car as this issue is major. Also, I didn't have 2300 to just drop on my car. After doing some research, I saw where this is a valid symptom, BUT, most sources online stated this was a coil problem. Knowing I just had them replaced, i thought surely they knew it was the exhaust. Well, not having 2300 to just drop on my car at the time, i found a pre-cat with header online and purchased it for 250.00. Its not a horrible job, but in some cars its a tight fit. Well, after taking my stock one off, I failed to see any issues with it. But, replaced it anyway. Trusting the guys I'd taken my car to for years. After I replaced the exhaust header with pre-cat, i was super relieved because I had been so stressed over possible engine damage. But, leaving the driveway for a test ride, the car once again had the same symptoms. Defeated and frustrated i took the car back the very next day after the exhaust replacement. I told them what issues i had and the manager said "i mean, we'll replace the coils, but I don't think thats the problem. but, they're under warranty, so we'll see" I got a call later that day and they said "its ready, its all fixed". yep, turns out the brand new coils i spent 540 dollars on were faulty. just like the multiple rotors prior. So, moral of this story, they buy crap parts and when they go bad they try to charge you for other work not needed. i spent countless hours on taking my car there, picking it up, stressed over possibly having to buy a new car, spending 250 dollars when I shouldn't have and now searching for a place i can rely on. i have receipts for everything, my son and girlfriend also know about the ordeal. I have used them twice. I live in South Florida and needed to find an honest shop for my UCF daughter. The first time I used them, I needed to have a single tire replaced do to a road hazard. The tires that were on the car were new and I just wanted one tire replaced. After getting Quote over the phone, I had my daughter bring her car in using the spare and they recommended replacing two tires and asked her if that was ok. My daughter knows nothing about cars and they just took advantage, also they never called me back to update the quote. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and was happy that they left the now removed new tire in the trunk for a future spare. The second time I needed them for my daughter was for a starter. I was crystal clear this time. I told them that I have replaced starters myself in the past and I just wanted replaced unless there was a simple loose wire or connector. I had AAA tow the car and confirm that it was the starter. I checked the general cost of a starter with lifetime warranty about 100 less the core rebate and discounts. My actual cost would have been $69 online with local pickup. Expert Car Care charged me $489 lass a UCF discount! My final price after fighting with them was still a rather high $350. This was a 2004 Toyota and required about 30 minutes labor. I asked them one more about the high price and they said that they needed to diagnose that it was the starter and that alone was a $100 extra fee. They do not deserve a third chance, I will not be going back. read more
