Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. From the outside, it wasn't too impressive and the parking lot was small so we had to park down the street and walk. Inside was very cozy and clean. We ordered a variety of appetizers and everything was delicious! I definitely recommend the yellowfin tuna cucumber salad and the calamari. If I could leave no stars I would. I went to Two Rivers Grille last night, August 17th, with a couple of friends. We all ordered pretty simple meals and expected a nice dinner out. We were seated pretty fast and received our drinks quick but after about 10-15 minutes, still no sign of bread...or our waiter. Being a previous server in a fine dining restaurant, I understand when there is a shortage of bread or if the kitchen is stuck, but not once were we informed or greeted by someone to let us know what's going. When we ordered, we figured we should just order simple meals since we've already waited so long for our 3 dinner rolls. 2 of us ordered chicken parms. The other, ravioli, and we split fries as an appetizer. After about an hour, our food comes out. The Ravioli looked appetizing but the chicken parms, not so much. Despite this, we all ate and took our leftovers home (which was a regret.) The following morning (this morning) all 3 of us were throwing up and sick to our stomachs. Although we cannot pinpoint what exactly it was that we ate that made us sick, we do know for certain it was something we all ate at this restaurant. We have had good experiences here in the past but unfortunately I do not think any of us will be returning. I wish there was a way of compensations for our meals since we were never able to enjoy them. I do not have pictures of the meals since we all threw them away, but I can take pictures of what each of us threw up if proof is needed!! read more

After a nice excursion down the Delaware River, a few of my friends and I needed lunch. Not only was this place right where we needed, the food variety and quality was exceptional. It didn't hurt that the service was friendly and helpful at suggesting great menu items. Let's just say that if you are considering other nearby places do yourself a favor and pick Two Rivers. My boyfriend and I came up to Pike County for a nice weekend getaway before the New Year. I had done some prior research beforehand that this was one of the best restaurants in the area and a must-try. How accurate that was! The restaurant was relatively empty and quiet, but family-friendly; right on the main drag of Pennsylvania Ave in Matamoras. My boyfriend and I were told to seat ourselves, and we were able to find a nice table in the corner. I ordered a grilled chicken flatbread, while he ordered the cheesesteak wrap, with both of us splitting the sidewinder fries and small side orders of coleslaw. Service was a little slow, but we were too excited to kick off our getaway to notice or care all that much. My flatbread was flavorful, with a balsamic-forward savoriness that complimented an acidic tomato, lush pesto, and slightly salty cheese. All of these flavors elevate the chicken and bread perfectly, making for a satisfying meal. The coleslaw as a side was how I normally like my slaw, a good balance of creamy and vinegary. My boyfriend appeared to love his cheesesteak wrap, even if it was a little much. My favorite thing, however, were those sidewinder fries. They had the consistency and texture of a good steak fry -- crispy exterior with a soft, true-potato interior--but with a funky, creative shape that allowed for perfect dipping coverage. I would definitely recommend making reservations for dinner here. They can get extremely busy but their staff are pros, very fast, efficient, friendly and accommodating. It is one of the main reasons I like coming here besides for their delicious food. They have a really fantastic soup selection and offer three types of soups on their regular menu and two on their specials menu. Now that it's getting colder out. I do eat a lot of soup which makes this restaurant perfect for me. I love their mushroom Bisque soup, new England clam chowder, plus more. I am not really a salad person but there is absolutely no problem switching a salad for a soup with a small up charge when you order an entree. Their calamari covered in a light buffalo sauce with blue cheese, chopped celery and red onion, plus yellowtail tuna sashimi are my favorite appetizers. Was looking for a place to stop in for a quick bite, saw reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. I was skeptical considering many restaurants in the area are mediocre at best. Wow! Was I surprised! The food was fantastic! Even my picky teenagers enjoyed their meals. Dessert was exceptional, the triple berry tart with sorbet was unbelievable. I had heard this was a great place, but I was very disappointed. We made reservations a few days ago, but we were seated at a table in a busy traffic area and we were told we could not have one of the better, empty tables, because they were reserved. My salad was good, but the rolls were horrible. Tasteless and spongey. My entree, chicken parmigiana, was not hot..just room temperature....and it was tasteless. Very little sauce, cheese barely melted, and the chicken was tough. The spaghetti was also bland, with very little sauce. I ate about half of it, and did not take any home. I don't usually post bad reviews but feel in this case there is the need to for public awareness. This restaurant Does Not follow Covid-19 protocols for service. Our waitress did not wear a mask nor did anyone else working in the restaurant, that I noticed. We were all vaxed and boosted. We dined earlly so there were only a few tables occupied besides ours. When I asked the waitress if she would wear a mask she said it was "optional" for her and did not oblige. The food was fine. The service good. Came here for dinner tonight, and so glad that I did. My husband ordered the burger and I ordered the everything but the kitchen sink salad with shrimp. My husband couldn't stop saying how it was the best burger he has had. The salad was just as amazing and fresh. We also had the loaded potato soup that was hearty and delicious. I want to begin by saying that my late husband and I have probably eaten out at least once a week for over 40 years. So this review is not done by someone who seldom eats out. I arrived a little after noon. At that point, there was one occupied table inside that already were eating their meal. There were some occupied tables outside. There was at least 4 waitresses on duty and another arrived shortly thereafter. I placed my order of a cup of soup and a salmon burger. I can not eat and consume beverages at the same time for medical reasons, not even water. I then used the restroom and returned. I waited and waited but no soup. I flagged down the waitress who was with a newly seated table and asked about my soup. It came maybe 3-4 minutes later. I said I hope this does not mean my salmon is coming right away. And indeed it did, arriving after I had 2 spoons of soup. My waitress never apologized. The other waitress said she was new and they had outside tables. My point to management (and I hope to get a response) is that if a waitress can't handle a simple order with relatively few customers, then something is radically wrong. Accoustics are a little bit of an issue, but to be expected in a busy place. My only suggestion would be to change up the dinner menu a bit. I had some kind of alcoholic beverage that was blue and it was also very tasty as well. There was one distraction to this otherwise wonderful experience. One of the female waitstaff Was serving a table of her friends. They got into a loud obnoxious conversation which I thought might be over quickly. However she came back shortly and the second conversation was just as loud and even more offensive.
