We don't get down here too often as it isn't in our normal area of activity. The wings bone in were fantastic. I really enjoyed their red sangria which I wasn't highly hopeful of but I'll take a good surprise any day. The coconut shrimp with strawberry coconut dip was excellent as well. We got the sampler of ribs, pork and brisket which was also really nice but couldn't finish as for two people it was too much to eat. Other menu items of the past I have really enjoy are the Mac and Cheese and the Duck Dumplings or pot stickers... name escapes but the memory of enjoyment never did. Great server. Great staff. Had dinner there tonight. It was our first visit. Restaurant is cozy and comfortable. Our server was a great young man but it did take a while for our food to come out. Drinks were good. We had a Peach Cosmo and White Sangria. For dinner we ordered the Cajun Pasta dish which was fettuccine with chicken, andouille sausage and shrimp. The dish was plentiful but didn't contain a lot of protein. The other dish was Fish & Chips. One very large piece of fish and fries. Meal was average. Dessert was the Italian Lemon Cake and a Tiramisu. Both desserts were good, coffee could have been hotter and fresher. Overall it was a lovely dinner and we will be returning as there are many other items on the menu we would like to try. read more

Fam and I stopped here driving back to CT from Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos. Janie was THE best server ever. SO sweet and personable. And she's a heck of a salesperson! So glad she convinced me to get the seafood pasta. It was ridiculously good!! Hubby would've liked the Tso's a bit spicier but he said it was delicious. Kids were VERY happy with their burger, pretzel sticks & loaded (or, unloaded actually, since they got everything but the cheese on the side!) Fun ambiance with some nostalgic decor. We hit the coin game located at the entrance on our way out and I think we were there for an extra 20 minutes! Hope we find ourselves in the area again so we can go back! read more

Went to the Grill a few times and liked it but was very disappointed yesterday for Father's Day.My adult children wanted to take my husband and I there because my husband has told them he liked it there.My husband and my son in laws entree was served with no mashed potatoes because we were told they ran out instead of letting us know so we could reorder something else they just took it up on themselves to substitute his meal with French fries which he did t want and my husband had a piece of fish.One other entree was cold.My whole family was very disappointed .Sad it wasn't even busy and we had reservations. read more

If you care about the steps that establishments are required to take to keep their patrons and staff safe, DO NOT EAT HERE. The staff does not wear their masks properly if at all. The manager doesn't attempt to wear a mask. It doesn't phase him if a patron is upset about this. There is a sign on the door that clearly states masks MUST be worn when you are not at your table. Complete disappointment. Hopefully the right people see this post and do something about it. Needless to say, we walked out. One star is too much but Yelp made me do it. read more

Folks the food has always been great! This OSD Friday 6/20/2020. My wife and our two friends stopped in for first outdoor eating experience since the COVID lock down. We wore masks going in and arrived later on sat so numbers were winding down. I ordered a rib eye sandwich and buddy had ribs and ladies had salads. All great. BUT I was taken back by the waiters not having masks. We think we survived but management should have staff fully masked! We ate breakfast out in nj the other day and all employees had masks. First of all, when the name of a restaurant has the word "Grill" in it, I'm braced for mediocrity. Sometimes (rarely), I'm pleasantly surprised. This experience was "meh". Not awful but slightly less than average. In other words, I'd rather find a different restaurant next time passing through. Alas, it was a Sunday evening and the choices were slim and it was recommended by hotel staff with a 10 percent discount by showing them our room key (if you go here and are staying nearby, ask if they discount based on your particular hotel). It was cold out, they did have a fireplace, and it was not active. First negative points. Menu had lots of options. You'd think that's a good thing but I've discovered at mediocre places, that's bad. Too many options means they can't all be mastered. I ordered the steak fajitas. It did come out sizzling -- yay. Taste of the meat was bland. Again, negative points. read more

I got food poisoning there two weeks ago. I called that very afternoon to let them know but no one reported my phone call to the manager or the owner. I posted my experince on a FB page where the owner publicy called me a LIAR, saying I never called his establishment. He publicly accused me of trying destroy his business. Great place for a meal in Matamoras. Had their famous wings, and they definitely live up to it. I had the Wasabi Tuna, and I'd gibe that a 4.5. Asked for it medium, but got it served medium well, close to well done. Only complaint, the flavors were spectacular. Family had the Buffalo Wrap, and Prime rib sandwich, and they all tasted great. The atmosphere wasn't the best, but I don't really care about that. Would definitely go back, and would highly recommend to anybody looking for a great meal. read more

This review is going to be based on service, food, and experience. For reference I ordered the chicken tenders and fries (back in the day when I ate meat lol). Service: Kayla was our server, not looking for a witch-hunt but damn, there are some people that should not be in the food industry and she was a prime example of why. First of all, I'll start off by saying that this is a small town close to the NY boarder. There are not many dining options in the area and all the options are American food or Italian aka pizza. Since we were just passing by I guess she didn't find the need to give us good service, that's cool because I don't feel the need to tip either. Service sucks, unless you are a local (by the ratings). Food: You can't really mess up chicken tenders and if you do, you shouldn't be a restaurant. Food was standard, nothing that really stood out to me. We were here because we were hungry, not because we were looking for the next Michelin prodigy. Experience: This is a sports bar/restaurant. The ambiance is exactly what you would expect. I wish the service was a little better but service does have a lot to do with experience so it was lacking. I hope you have a better experience and waitress than I did. If you find yourself here on a Saturday afternoon and a waitress comes by and introduces herself as Kayla, get back in your car and keep driving, I think I saw a Burger King nearby. read more

Granted I get this is prime time, and we were told it was a 45 min wait OR we could go to the bar or sit outside. We opted for outside and they were able to accommodate the large group of 10 that we had. That was pretty much the only highlight; immediate seating even after being told it was a 45 min wait. Luckily some of us got drinks at the bar first and then sat down but the rest had to wait over 20 mins for a waitress to come by. At that point my stein was empty and I was getting hangry. Another 15 until we got drinks and could order and probably another 30 mins to get simple appetizers. Dafuq is back in the kitchen?? I could have gone to the food store down the street and whipped up faster orders for everyone. We didnt leave until after 9pm.. and remember we were there at 6:30.... Don't come here if you have other places to be or want tasty food. It was merely edible and bc we were starving after rafting, we all ate. Not worth the $200 price tag afterwards. read more

What a great surprise! We were in the middle of the road trip from hell and were staying at the local Hampton Inn (awesome hotel, by the way). They recommended The Grill Lucky for us, it was Redneck Night (really??). Yes, we were a little nervous but hunger won out. We were seated immediately and given the menu. If you're looking for a nice glass of wine, well, let's face it, you're not going to Redneck Night anywhere. The vodka tonic was great and my husband enjoyed his beer. Dinner was awesome! My husband had an incredible pasta dish and I had the meatball sub. What an awesome meal! The food was tasty and plentiful. The service was friendly and spot-on. We would go here again and again! The kids loved dessert and had I not been so full, I would have ordered my own (two pages of dessert options!). If you're staying at the Hampton Inn, let them know and you'll get 10% off your meal.
