Fam and I stopped here driving back to CT from Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos. Janie was THE best server ever. SO sweet and personable. And she's a heck of a salesperson! So glad she convinced me to get the seafood pasta. It was ridiculously good!! Hubby would've liked the Tso's a bit spicier but he said it was delicious. Kids were VERY happy with their burger, pretzel sticks & loaded (or, unloaded actually, since they got everything but the cheese on the side!) Fun ambiance with some nostalgic decor. We hit the coin game located at the entrance on our way out and I think we were there for an extra 20 minutes! Hope we find ourselves in the area again so we can go back!

This place was a great find. Service was impeccable, all her recommendations were on point. The specials added to the amazing menu options. The restaurant was clean and very spooky decorated. This is a fun place for the whole family.

If you care about the steps that establishments are required to take to keep their patrons and staff safe, DO NOT EAT HERE. The staff does not wear their masks properly if at all. The manager doesn't attempt to wear a mask. It doesn't phase him if a patron is upset about this. There is a sign on the door that clearly states masks MUST be worn when you are not at your table. Complete disappointment. Hopefully the right people see this post and do something about it. Needless to say, we walked out. One star is too much but Yelp made me do it.

Great food, great wait-staff very attentive, and atmosphere very relaxed. Looking forward to coming back next time we are in Pa. This place is a gem.

Great atmosphere, we sat outside, good staff and food. The menus are funny with missing words, more you drink the funnier they get. Do they know ? Who cares, go with it. All around great place

Same goes for their tomahawk ribeye when it's available! Incredible. The value is off the charts. I love their IPAs and even their stout is crack and I don't usually order anything besides IPA. Really great that they have food during the week, but if you're fortunate enough to be there during the weekend BBQ, I don't think you can go wrong with anything they offer. Can't wait to go back. I might drive an hour in the snow today just to get that beef rib... Cheers* Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Food 10/10 Beer 10/10 Distance from me 4/10 ;(

The parking lot is small but luckily it wasn't crowded on a Sunday afternoon. The food was excellent. They have a wood fired grill menu only on the weekends. We ordered the Brussels sprouts, the smoked wings with Thai chili sauce, the pulled pork sandwich, the hangar steak, and the burger. All were great as were the fries. The service was above and beyond. Also, they had some great specials on cams to go that we took advantage of. 10% off for dining at the brewery, a free branded glass with every 3 4-packs, and a free bottled stout with the purchase of a case.

One of my toxic traits is that I judge books by their covers; I also do that with restaurants, and…read moreit burned me here. I stopped by on Saturday afternoon with one of my top-tier chums for a post-Port Jervis exploration/walk nip, deciding that out of all of the places we'd walked and/or driven by, this looked the most intriguing and certainly the most historic. One brief moment of validation occurred before we even entered - after walking through the downtown area and encountering pretty much a ghost town, we found a ton of locals in the outdoor patio/seating area here having a rollicking good time. Pretty decent endorsement, but it was quickly downhill from there. As soon as you walk in, you can tell that the majority of ye olde charm has been replaced; for instance, there's some wood paneling over the bar area that's relatively new - I was expecting something that looked pretty historic inside but in my opinion that wasn't the case. I'm not sure how much of a negative that necessarily is, but if you're walking into an establishment like this expecting to be transported to the 1890s, you're going to be disappointed. There's definitely some history, but it's not going to conjure up handlebar mustaches and victrolas. I ordered the Port Old-Fashioned off the cocktail menu; I was a little leery because it cited mulled oranges, but beyond that the description was dictionary definition. The drink itself was not. As you can see from the accompanying picture, the cocktail was practically red; I can't say for sure because I didn't witness the preparation, but it certainly looked and tasted as if it had Fireball in it rather than straight-up Bourbon. Really strange, and made it morph into a kegger drink for me. And the mulled oranges were definitely a mistake; I knew what I was getting into in that regard, so that part of the experience is certainly on me, but there's a reason this drink is supposed to have an orange peel essentially as a garnish and not a full-on part of the beverage. Really odd and I hate to say it, but probably the worst Old-Fashioned I've ever had. We had a young female bartender who was very nice/hospitable, which is the only reason this isn't a dumpster fire one-star review. She was the only one behind the bar, which was decently packed, and held her own. Our visit was relatively brief - we stopped for just the one drink before heading home across the border - but had no issues service-wise. We were able to order promptly, and received our beverages shortly thereafter. Unfortunately as mentioned, the actual drink was pretty bad, and I'd strongly recommend additional training in that capacity. Some of the intangibles are there, so I think this could be rectified. The Port Jervis residents clearly like this place a lot, so I have to assume they're staying away from the cocktail I had and enjoying either other drinks or the food (which neither of us sampled). And the price point is reasonable as well - I think my drink was $12 - but you ARE getting what you pay for. My recommendation? Head over to Jersey and drive the 29 minutes to the Walpack Inn, which is literally never on the way to anything except in this instance, and has much better menu options and legit rustic ambience.

I have dined here before & have never had a complaint, so I would definitely recommend stopping in.

Never said anything and always left a great tip regardless until yesterday. Went in as usual perused pizza counter like always before. Told counter servers sitting down which at that very point counter server says you may order here. Okay sure. Did. The place was empty at the time and woman behind bar was apparently the wait staff even took the order for drinks and handed them to me which then proceeded to sit down. within not a minute later she came to our table and said you could have ordered your drinks from table and I would bring them. She handed menus where she was informed we ordered at the counter. Questions led to answer that the counter server says can after offering to take the order. Wait staff had loud overheard words with counter server about situation which frankly despite being ignored evil eyed rude murmurs understood this Was about a tip. Check had to come from counter as again overheard loudly I don't care about this table or any tip. Wow! Need not be the case until one was made cut off nose spite face. Paid. Left. Felt at the point management should know service is big. Can make or break. Repeat referral. Call it misunderstanding. Miscommunication. Bottom line kindness and benefit of doubt would serve up well. Hope they get it together. You treat enough people this way not exactly any business right now can afford especially a simple fix of don't take out your beef on a customer who has beef of their own. It's just a slice of pizza to enjoy without BS drama.
