My mom passed away unexpectedly on January 21 at her home in Aurora, CO. I caught a flight to Denver from DC the next morning. Upon arrival, I had no idea where to begin with making arrangements and what to do with her body. Along with my siblings, we recalled that she had a preference for cremation. I spoke with the Aurora County Coroner's Office and they provided me with several recommendations for cremation services. Two Rivers was one of three companies that I contacted. I spoke with Stephanie on the phone and immediately felt a sense of relief with the whole situation. She was very calm, answered my lengthy list of questions, and didn't try to upsell me on any of her services. She also provided the most affordable prices. I told her we wanted a basic cremation as we decided to hold a memorial event in Maryland where my mom spent most of her life. I also mentioned that I would like the ashes ready to fly home with me on Friday, January 27. The other two companies said they couldn't meet this deadline but Stephanie was willing to work with me to make this happen. When it came time to meet her to discuss matters in person, she offered to meet us closer to the home in Aurora as we needed every minute of our time to work on things around the house and planning the memorial. She kept us updated with everything happening on her end while not being overbearing or asking a bunch of questions. Stephanie was also happy to help us with printing memorial cards (picture on one side, poem on the other) which was not discussed earlier in the week but didn't phase her. She met us, again close to my mom's home, on Thursday before I was flying out to hand over the ashes, death certificates, the memorial cards, and paperwork. We never want to think of needing to use these types of services but it helps to have such a wonderful company when you need it the most. I can't thank Two Rivers and Stephanie enough for being so helpful, caring, and dedicated. read more
