Shoutout to a new local business in Charlotte that is #womanowned & amazing! Thank you so much…read more@h2blowdry for treating me so kindly, & for such a lovely morning of #selfcare! Mom of 3 young kids here! A few weeks ago, I was gifted a free blowout to H2Blow on Valentine's Day. I felt like a princess during my blowout, I had a rare morning to focus on myself, it was soooooo relaxing, and the results were remarkable!!!!! It was a wonderful appointment, with an amazing & professional staff!!! And, it was so nice & clean (and relaxing) at H2Blow!!!! My sweet hubby even took me to an impromptu Valentine's Day dinner that night, & he kept complimenting how nice my hair looked! It wasn't in a ponytail like it had been for weeks prior. I included a picture from dinner! :) Thank you thank you thank you H2Blow and I want to shout from the rooftops how amazing this new business is to the #CLT community especially for us moms . #supportlocal (I received a complimentary blowout to share my experience, though I was planning on giving a shoutout of this local business regardless as the results were #beautiful. But the legal dept says I have to include this phrase too: I was compensated for my post via a free blowout, all opinions are 100% my own, & were not influenced by H2Blow or @momclt in any way. #sponsored) PS: let's be friends! Follow along on IG @momMEyear. AND, HERE IS A SPECIAL GIFT FOR MY FOLLOWERS! On Thursdays @H2Blow, receive a 20% discount if you mention the following code @ checkout: "MOMCLT-Elizabeth"

I have fine, straight hair and Lisa recently gave me a loose perm to help give my hair some body and a little curl and it came out fantastic. I love it! I found Lisa through a recommendation from a friend years ago when I was looking for a new hair stylist. We did a trichology/scalp consult, she treated my scalp and then did a cute wash and go. I came here to have my natural hair trimmed, blown out and flat ironed by Shantel. She has been my…read moresister's stylist for years and also does my Mom's hair. This is a salon that specializes in African American hair care needs including natural care, braids, weaves and updos. Shantel started where all good hair stylists begin...at the shampoo bowl. She gave my hair a good cleanse using quality salon products by scrubbing my scalp thoroughly yet gingerly. This is normally the point where most stylists loose their patience with my super curly, super thick hair and begin to tug and pull or slack off on the washing process. Not Shantel, despite my apologies, she trudged on without commenting on my crazy hair with some interesting and entertaining beauty shop conversation to boot. She then patiently and gently detangled my hair. She applied a protectant, sectioned it and blew it dry with minimal heat. Once dry, she went on to straighten my hair section by section applying just enough product to give a nice sheen while avoiding a greasy weight. After straightening, she TRIMMED my hair perfectly (and I do mean TRIM). She took off only what was necessary to give me a healthy head of hair and beautiful shape while retaining length. She then went back through and gave my hair a nice bend and styled it. After taking some pictures for me, she even wrapped it. The price was reasonable given the density and length of my natural hair, the quality of the products and the high caliber of the result. I don't straighten my hair often, but I will definitely be using Shantel for all future blowouts. The results are unparalleled.

My mother has been here for 2 weeks & wanted to get her hair washed, colored, & curled. I made a last-minute appointment yesterday, after reading the good reviews on yelp. When we got to the salon, Cheresa took my mother right away and had her hair washed. Shortly after, my daughter began having her hair washed. My mother got a wash, condition, color, trim, blow dry, and curl. My daughter's hair was washed, conditioned, blow dried, and flat ironed. The care and good energy that Cheresa showed my family was as if she were doing her own mother and daughter's hair. On top of that, when the other stylists & patrons heard it was my daughter's birthday, they helped me sing happy birthday, in the Stevie Wonder version. Lastly, I told them that my daughter is a singer, and they allowed her to perform her version of "Rise Up," by Andra Day. This salon is really living up to its name. My daughter enjoyed her birthday, getting a beauty treatment like a Unique Lady! When we were leaving, another stylist said to me, "You all are family now."
