This is only the second time I've been here and they have a salad bar with lot of vegetables and more to put in your salad.Large bowls to fell it up. That's me. Hubby got a Stromboli with fries. The fries tasted like fish so they need to change their oil. There was 12 of us they can accommodate large parties, but they don't push tables together. We put six at one table and six at another. Our waitress was awesome. We kept her on her toes. Domestic draft beers were half price.

Pricey!!! But really good! Loved the pizza and the breadsticks!!! Staff was friendly and attentive!!! Did carry out but the salad bar looked good too!!! Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the pizza but they cut it in squares so it's good for all.

Large selection of tap beers. Casual atmosphere. Offered pizza, wings, lots of appetizers, sandwiches. Good local restaurant to hang out and enjoy a beer with decent pizza.

First time here in a long time and loved every bite. From the moment Veronica came to greet me with a smile a mile wide, to the fast service on a delicious hot pizza, and a fresh salad bar, it was a fantastic visit. I tried their beer cheese pizza and I got it with the cauliflower crust to save carbs. (Diabetic issue). Totally unique flavor using beer cheese for a sauce on a pizza! It was super good! It was a 10-in pizza and I couldn't eat all of it. Salad bar was small but had an ample variety of stuff and was very fresh! Located in historic downtown Danville, I would put this on your must-go list!

The food was great, including the salad bar. Our pizza was cheesy and greasy and we loved the crust. The salad bar had a lot on it and the bowls they give you are a generous portion. However, my rating is based solely on the service we received. We came around lunch and two women were working. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, but for some reason we clearly weren't as much of a priority as the other guests or chatting. Right off the bat, we got the wrong pizza. I let her know that we ordered a pepperoni and got a cheese. She said no, it's just under the cheese. It clearly was not. If I'm telling you it doesn't have pepperoni, it doesn't. I also ordered a sweet tea, she never brought it. I didn't get a drink the entire time I was eating and my husbands wasn't refilled and she didn't check on us, so it was nearly impossible to remind her without getting up and walking over. As we were boxing up, I let a different server know about the pizza and the drink. She made me a drink to go and said "I'll take care of the bill for you". I let her know I appreciate it, and she then responded, "I'll do 50% off". Okay....She then brings the bill, and she has given us a $5.00 discount and I'm still paying for the tea. That isn't "taking care of the bill". We were actually warned beforehand by family that the service was bad, but I wanted to give them a chance. And they failed.

The first one is 18" thin crust supreme, the 2nd is 14" sausage and pepperoni, the third is 14" cheese.

This is the first time we ordered here. Paid $83 for 3 pizzas, got home and they're all burnt! Tried a piece and it even tastes burnt. Ridiculous. Not worth it

Today, I spent some time clearing out my father's home and helping my nephew, who'd been staying with him prior to his death, settled in a new residential situation. As I was driving through Danville on the way home, I stopped at the town square and decided to have a late lunch in the area. To be honest, I headed first to Square Burger. However, as a wheelchair user I was dismayed to see a step into their establishment. No go. I wasn't in the mood for Mayberry Cafe despite my love for the place. I looked over and realized this was a great chance to check out The Beehive. The Beehive is just off the square and shares a building with Two Guys Pies. The US 36 entrance is not wheelchair friendly, however, the back entrance has a nice concrete ramp (I did find the sidewalk a bit narrow - I noticed as I entered here that had I desired to visit Two Guys Pies there was a bicycle on the sidewalk that would have easily blocked my access). This is an attractive building. The Beehive has been here a little over 10 years. I'm not sure I'll describe The Beehive accurately - it's sort of a coffeehouse meets breakfast/lunch joint where you can also get fresh, local honey and other frozen goods to take out. They do catering and offer deli sandwiches, beer/wine carryout, a build your own salad menu, local meat and produce, and the aforementioned frozen goods. They also have a small retail area where you can buy honey, t-shirts, and other items. A good amount of their sweets utilize honey instead of sugar. I parked on the square in one of their accessible spots (parking is free, up to 5 hours for accessible parking but only two hours for others). I wheeled around the building - someone was planting plants/flowers and was super friendly and stopped his work to make sure I could get through). They close at 4pm on Saturdays - I arrived about 3ish. I ordered one of their combos that included a 1/2 sandwich, chips, and a drink. They do have unsweetened iced tea, fountain drinks, and a variety of canned/bottled drinks (including Choc-ola!). They also have a ton of coffee/latte type options. I found the prices to be reasonable. This is especially true given these are healthier options (though certainly not everything here qualifies as "healthy."). The employees were friendly. They were quiet, however, service was quite good. I loved the atmosphere. I had zero issues finding a wheelchair friendly table. I could independently reach everything I needed, though I'm sure they'd have assisted if needed. This wasn't a mind-blowing experience. It was simply a really good lunch in a pleasing atmosphere at a fair price. After an emotional experience like clearing out my family home (which isn't yet done), this was a great way to relax and calm the emotions. I enjoyed the sandwich, which is toasted, and they had Miss Vickie's potato chips. I'm not sure why it took me so long to stop here, however, I'd easily return for the simple yet wonderful menu, great drinks, warm atmosphere, and friendly employees.

I watched a few other customers go through and they didn't seem like they had a problem so maybe it was just us. Next time I would probably just order online and pick it up so I could avoid the in-person ordering process altogether. I had the turkey sandwich and it was pretty good. I would say definitely a step up from your typical sub sandwich chain in terms of flavor and toppings options. I tried the chili mac as well. The chili is definitely à la Wendy's but I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was good as well. I'd probably get either on its own but not together again. I also tried the Potbelly/Zapp's collab chips, the Hot Pepper flavor. They were good but are definitely not for everyone. When I visited, most of their fountain soda options were out of order so I settled on a no sugar added Pineapple Passionfruit juice/soda which was actually pretty good. We'll definitely be back - especially to try out their milkshakes!

Chris laughs and jokes with a customer in Spanish as he cooks. I sip mango nectar. My husband's 3-piece meal has four pieces of fried chicken with a cup of cole slaw. We split a bowl of soup and they kindly served it in separate bowls for us, which I appreciated. The soup of the day was corn chowder and wow, I was surprised how good it was, I do love soups. I'd never tried corn chowder before, but it was creamy, flavorful, and comforting. I ordered the half salad/half sandwich combo. The smoked salmon niçoise salad had a blend of interesting flavors and the dressing paired perfectly with it. For the sandwich, I chose the BLTEA, and unfortunately this was the disappointing part of the meal. The avocado on it was clearly overripe/bad, so dark, mushy, and it gave the sandwich an unpleasant taste. I removed as much as I could, but it still affected the flavor. It was a bummer because this spot usually tastes very fresh. I've had it before and the avocado was fresh, along with the orchard salad which I loved. I would say the orchard salad is my fave. They make their dressings homemade and the dressing for the orchard salad was delicious. The service was still very friendly, and since they were slammed busy, I didn't feel like making a fuss about it. Everything else we had was enjoyable. The inside is small and quaint since it's a house turned restaurant, so it has a cozy but lively ambiance when crowded. One of the best perks here is definitely the made from scratch desserts. I love checking out the dessert case because the staff will happily explain each option and answer questions. There's something oddly satisfying about watching them slice the desserts too. I took a lemon cheesecake to go and absolutely loved it. I've also tried the blackberry wine cake which is a staple and delicious. A seasonal dessert that was really good was the pumpkin pie. You really can't go wrong with home made desserts here.
