The french fries had just the perfect crisp to them! And the barbecue chicken pizza was well worth my blistered mouth when I could not stop myself from eating it! After a few months of spending more time in Hendricks and Putnam counties as I resolve my father's estate, the home is nearing sale and my time in the area is starting to wind down. Thus, I'm also trying to snag a few more reviews before my life returns to a bit more normalcy. I'd been curious about Danville's Two Guys Pies, a sister restaurant to The Beehive located in the same two-storefront strip center at the corner of Main Street and Indiana Street. Parking is a little tight here in a parking lot behind the restaurants. There are a couple accessible spots including one with a small aisle to allow for safe exit for wheelchairs. The parking spot is directly across from the building and there's a pretty good concrete ramp. I have noted there are times when longer vehicles block the somewhat narrow sidewalk just a bit. The last time I came to this building, I went to The Beehive and looked down and realized that Two Guys Pies would have been blocked had I wanted to go there. There's a couple glass doors. The dining room includes a bar area, a handful of traditional tables, and a few more booths. I really only saw a couple smaller tables (which I tend to take since I'm often dining alone), however, I was able to snag one. Two Guys Pies obviously specializes in pizza, however, they definitely have a more extensive menu. They advertise having the best salad bar in Hendricks County. There are appetizers, wings, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, calzones, rollers, bombs (I will admit I have no idea what bombs are), a kids menu, daily specials, family specials, and more. There's also lunch specials from 11am-2pm. I ordered a 7" pepperoni pizza (essentially a create-your-own option) along with two breadsticks along with unsweetened iced tea. The breadsticks came with cheese (I don't know if marinara was an option - this was delivered automatically). The pizza was definitely a thin crust. It was quite good and I would easily order it again. The menu says it comes with eight slices - just be aware it is only a 7" pizza. Those "slices"are smaller. The breadsticks were good, though I'm not sure I'd order them again at $2.99. You can order larger quantities. The service was welcoming. I enjoyed watching the atmosphere. It's clear it was a mixture of regulars and some maybe not so much so. The servers seemed relaxed with the customers. I liked that one older customer dining alone, in particular, seemed to get some definite human connection. The dining room has large windows. There are five widescreen televisions - all were showing sports, though there was some variation. I enjoyed this experience. You could also easily park at the town square and make it the one block east to Two Guys Pies. Service was great, the food was good, the prices were fair, the atmosphere was welcoming (though at least two kids acted like they'd never seen a wheelchair or an amputee before) and I'd easily return. While my time in Hendricks County is winding down, at a hard time in my life after my father's death I've enjoyed getting to know this small town a whole lot more. read more

This is only the second time I've been here and they have a salad bar with lot of vegetables and more to put in your salad.Large bowls to fell it up. That's me. Hubby got a Stromboli with fries. The fries tasted like fish so they need to change their oil. There was 12 of us they can accommodate large parties, but they don't push tables together. We put six at one table and six at another. Our waitress was awesome. We kept her on her toes. Domestic draft beers were half price. read more

The food was great, including the salad bar. Our pizza was cheesy and greasy and we loved the crust. The salad bar had a lot on it and the bowls they give you are a generous portion. However, my rating is based solely on the service we received. We came around lunch and two women were working. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, but for some reason we clearly weren't as much of a priority as the other guests or chatting. Right off the bat, we got the wrong pizza. I let her know that we ordered a pepperoni and got a cheese. She said no, it's just under the cheese. It clearly was not. If I'm telling you it doesn't have pepperoni, it doesn't. I also ordered a sweet tea, she never brought it. I didn't get a drink the entire time I was eating and my husbands wasn't refilled and she didn't check on us, so it was nearly impossible to remind her without getting up and walking over. As we were boxing up, I let a different server know about the pizza and the drink. She made me a drink to go and said "I'll take care of the bill for you". I let her know I appreciate it, and she then responded, "I'll do 50% off". Okay....She then brings the bill, and she has given us a $5.00 discount and I'm still paying for the tea. Pretty sure the racism is alive & kicking here. it's sad that so many of my reviews don't(can't) just plainly say this because so many times that's why the service and/or food is poor. you have to justify your own experience to people who will never be in your shoes. yes i was the only black person & of color there. ordered via the phone 12 wings, 2 flavors. phone order was easy enough. i had the menu pulled up as well. walked in masked up cause ya know covid-19 is still running very rampant. i waited until after the time they said my food would be done cause because i don't like waiting and i try to decrease my time inside of any place and around people. i stood there and not one person out of 6 employees greeted me. one person walked up and avoided me so hard i thought she was going to burst into flames. finally someone asked if they could help and tried to take my order. i politely told them i placed a pick up order and i swear to the pizza god you would have thought i was bothering them. anyway she said it would be a moment which was fine. not like i wasn't already waiting and i knew my food needed to be grabbed from the back maybe bagged etc. the person who brought my food up was actually cool, said pleasantries, rang me up and that was it. i had cajun garlic wings and lemon pepper. they were slightly dry and not wet/saucy as i think most people would want a flavored wing to be. the cajun garlic were good in flavor. if i planned on going back which i don't, i'd order them. the lemon pepper went straight into my trash can. i do appreciate that they were served separately in foil like containers and sealed up. no spill, no mess. kept the heat inside. read more

I love this place. I don't know what it is that makes it so good but it is. I once made my husband drive 1.5 hour to get it to me when I was pregnant, but the cravings for it never died. I get pepperoni and banana pepper every time or cheese yumm!!!! It doesn't stop there. The wings are soooo good and recently tried their breadsticks which I also fell in love with. Tasty lunch-sized pizza with a side salad for a good price..that about sums it up for my experience. I stopped in on a weekday right after noon. They have a shared parking lot on the south side of the restaurant which is at the same level as the entrance. As I entered the open dining area, I was told I could sit wherever I liked. I grabbed a spot at the counter and waited for one of the waitresses to take my order. I had grabbed a menu from the counter so I knew I wanted to go with the lunch special 2-topping 7"-inch (actually, it's nine inches across!) pizza which comes with choice of sides. The service was a little slow due to only two waitresses working a busy lunch hour. When I did order, I was told the salad meant access to the self serve salad bar which is to the right of the counter. It isn't a huge salad bar, but basically had iceberg lettuce and spinach as the greens, a variety of toppings, and about a half dozen bottled dressings. After about 20 minutes, my pizza arrived. It was cut in strips instead of wedges and had a really good flavor. The red sauce was a bit sweeter than other places I've dined. Note that the sausage cooks on the pizza, so there was a bit of grease that I dabbed. Good taste, but a little messy. Check out pays at the counter. I didn't need to wait for a bill to cash out. Seems like there was an honor system/trust of the waitress to remember what each customer ate. (I had my back to the dining area, so some may have received bills, but I didn't see anyone hand them over when paying.) Overall, the food was good and affordable. After 2 years we gave them another shot. Service was on point and they were well staffed on a busy Friday night. The crust was a little soggy, which was not the way it used to be, so not sure if they changed a recipe or or if it was just this particular pizza. There is limited seating and since I came with a larger than six party the party that I came with they decided to sit outside. There were enough chairs and the weather to me wasn't bad. The flowers near me are really pretty and I even took two pictures of them. I also enjoyed the outdoor music taste hearing classic rock songs like Juke Box Hero and Jimmy Hendrix is awesome! 10/10 for music taste! The pizza is majorly messy so much sure to have plenty of napkins. I was good pizza in my opinion though. read more

What great pizza! I was extremely satisfied with my visit to Two Guys Pies recently. We sat ourselves and were quickly greeted by a waitress. We both ordered a lunch special and shared some fries and breadsticks with garlic sauce. I honestly think those are the best breadsticks I've ever had! The pizza was also delicious. My boyfriend and I often have a hard time going out to a pizza place because of our different pizza preferences so we liked that we could both get a 7 inch pizza to ourselves (even though we realized that we could have totally split one because it was so filling). What I really liked about this restaurant is the amount of specials they always have going on, especially for lunch time. The longer we were in there, the busier they got. Lots of people off for their lunch break, so it was nice to see that it was so packed. The two waitresses were sure working hard! Even with that many people in there service was still great. Asked them to take the pizzas back and keep them in the warmer until the forgotten item was finished. 20 minutes later the item came out but my pizzas could not be found. I stopped going to this place. It was good when the previous owners had it. After the new owners took over, the pizza went from good to the worst. Too much pepper in the pizza sauce! If it was a real traditional sauce, the pizzas would taste so much better. We don't order pizza form there anymore, the service and cleanliness has really went down, that is sad, as when this place started the place was always clean, salad bar looked nice and safe and now it has not seemed that way for a while.
