I stopped in for the first time and tried their Honey Nut Latte today. The flavor was really nice, but a little milkier and sweeter than what I usually go for. Totally a "your mileage may vary" situation--if you like sweeter drinks, you'll probably love it. The space itself is cozy in the best way, with plenty of chairs and tables that make it easy to settle in and get some work done. The staff were genuinely kind and warm, which makes a big difference on a first visit. Overall, a really inviting spot. I'm planning to come back soon--and bring my husband along to check it out.

In need of a good cup of cup, we stopped into the Beehive because it is always great! The S'Mores Latte paired with a S'Mores Macaron was delightful!

When you come into the beehive you are greeted with heavenly smells and kind greetings. There is a treasure trove of sweet treats behind the glass and I'm sure they taste as good as they look. Overall a friendly atmosphere with great breakfast/ lunch options. A cozy friendly vibe makes this place a great nook to read or even get some work done and make it a must.

This was my second time at The Beehive in the last few months. The first time I got the Nutella latte hot and now I tried it cold yesterday and I have to be perfectly honest, I'm not sure which version I love more. The place has a super cute vibe, and the bathroom is very clean. Great little coffee spot if you're roaming around Indiana.

Food is amazing! Only negative was that the last time I got an iced coffee here, the flavored powder was not mixed in and the whole drink tasted grainy. Aside from that experience, The Beehive atmosphere was amazing and had excellent service!

What a darling, local, independent little cafe! Just off the square they offer breakfast, lunch, and TONS of beautiful baked goods. I had the BYO salad and chose all my ingredients. Honey lemon dressing was delish. Hubby had chicken bacon ranch sandwich and mushroom spinach gnocchi soup. Grabbed a raspberry bar and snickerdoodle cookie for dessert. There was also a freezer case where you could grab casseroles for home.

The Beehive in Danville is usually our first stop in town. We pick up lattes and choose from their wide variety of breakfast sandwiches or BYO salads (chicken salad is best!), and then walk over to the square to window shop. Service is always friendly and food is above average! Not getting food? There's also a cooler section with take-home meals and a small apparel/gift section with a cute honey bee theme!

I just loved my lunch at the beehive it is casual but well decorated. They also have many to go frozen entrees they sell to take home to heat and eat. I got the sandwich soup combo an it was great. Very quick place to go to get a casual lunch.

This is one of my favorite local small businesses!! The fudgey brownies are the best I've ever had and I will randomly drive 1 hour round trip for them with no regrets, but then I discovered that they have so many custom items to choose from that taste homemade and freshly made. I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon egg cheddar cheese red pepper and spinach and I love you can choose a half order. You order at the register and they will make it to order for you. Very casual cozy spot and I just love it

Little Italy sandwich and sausage tortellini soup

I could eat the little Italy sandwich every day for life, it's so so yummy and somehow gets better every time I have it! The soup selections never disappoint, specifically the sausage tortellini and lasagna soup! The atmosphere inside the Beehive is so nice and cute, and the food is always a hit!

It's very cool on the inside with vintage and Indiana-themed decor, tin ceilings, and, of course, a potbelly stove. The staff were friendly. But brother and I were very confused about the ordering process. There wasn't a lot of directional signage showing where to start and each step of the process. I watched a few other customers go through and they didn't seem like they had a problem so maybe it was just us. Next time I would probably just order online and pick it up so I could avoid the in-person ordering process altogether. I had the turkey sandwich and it was pretty good. I would say definitely a step up from your typical sub sandwich chain in terms of flavor and toppings options. I tried the chili mac as well. The chili is definitely à la Wendy's but I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was good as well. I'd probably get either on its own but not together again. I also tried the Potbelly/Zapp's collab chips, the Hot Pepper flavor. They were good but are definitely not for everyone. When I visited, most of their fountain soda options were out of order so I settled on a no sugar added Pineapple Passionfruit juice/soda which was actually pretty good. We'll definitely be back - especially to try out their milkshakes!

My husband ordered the crab cake appetizer with a side of mashed potatoes. You could tell both were handmade. We both would order again because I had to go take several bites of each. I ordered the grilled shrimp sandwich with drawn butter and chive mayo and the fries. Both items were amazing! The toasted bun was fresh and made the perfect sandwich! There are a handful of appetizers and a nice mix of sandwiches or entrees. The service was excellent. There was a table of six women having a great time and three families when we arrived. There's a huge construction project at the main intersection outside the entrance to the restaurant and you can tell it's impacting business. The town has a campaign going on to get stamps of places you visit around town. If you get I believe 5 stamps you can be entered to win a prize. We were stuffed and couldn't eat dessert in the restaurant so we got a huge slice of the chocolate cake and chocolate frosting! It was four layers. It was a tough choice to pick just one dessert because there were several of our favorites on the menu and a very tempting banana tiramisu. The menu hangs above cases of fried chicken, fish and potato wedges. Gizzards are a popular menu item. Chris takes your order. My husband wants a 3-piece chicken meal with cole slaw. I select a Buffalo chicken wrap that comes with fries. Ricardo, Chris' son, comes out and asks how spicy hot I want my chicken and I ask for mild. Wow, what great service! They tell us to grab some drinks and have a seat. The dining area is small with three or four tables that seat two. Most people come in for carry out. Chris laughs and jokes with a customer in Spanish as he cooks. I sip mango nectar. My husband's 3-piece meal has four pieces of fried chicken with a cup of cole slaw. They had everything from cookies and pies to cakes, and I especially loved that they offered so many single-serving dessert options. I ordered the two-egg breakfast and asked for my eggs to be scrambled with cheese. My plate arrived with delicious honey oat toast and what were, without a doubt, the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. The texture was perfect! I had forgotten to ask for them crispy, but there was no need--they were lightly crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. The eggs were also cooked perfectly. I really appreciate when the cheese is folded throughout the eggs instead of just being sprinkled on top as an afterthought. It's a small detail that makes a big difference. I'm going to be honest--the table next to me ordered the biscuits and gravy, and I could see the huge chunks of sausage from my seat! It looked so good that I had to order an additional side of biscuits and gravy to go, along with a sausage patty. I can't wait to dig into it later. I'll definitely be back. My only regret is that I didn't bring anyone with me! The portions are generous, and this is the kind of place where it's fun to share a few dishes so everyone can sample something different. If you're looking for a locally owned breakfast spot with great food, generous portions, and an incredible bakery, Bread and Breakfast Cafe & Bakery is absolutely worth a visit.

We split a bowl of soup and they kindly served it in separate bowls for us, which I appreciated. The soup of the day was corn chowder and wow, I was surprised how good it was, I do love soups. I'd never tried corn chowder before, but it was creamy, flavorful, and comforting. I ordered the half salad/half sandwich combo. The smoked salmon niçoise salad had a blend of interesting flavors and the dressing paired perfectly with it. For the sandwich, I chose the BLTEA, and unfortunately this was the disappointing part of the meal. The avocado on it was clearly overripe/bad, so dark, mushy, and it gave the sandwich an unpleasant taste. I removed as much as I could, but it still affected the flavor. It was a bummer because this spot usually tastes very fresh. I've had it before and the avocado was fresh, along with the orchard salad which I loved. I would say the orchard salad is my fave. They make their dressings homemade and the dressing for the orchard salad was delicious. The service was still very friendly, and since they were slammed busy, I didn't feel like making a fuss about it. Everything else we had was enjoyable. The inside is small and quaint since it's a house turned restaurant, so it has a cozy but lively ambiance when crowded. One of the best perks here is definitely the made from scratch desserts. I love checking out the dessert case because the staff will happily explain each option and answer questions. There's something oddly satisfying about watching them slice the desserts too. I took a lemon cheesecake to go and absolutely loved it. I've also tried the blackberry wine cake which is a staple and delicious. A seasonal dessert that was really good was the pumpkin pie. You really can't go wrong with home made desserts here.
