Two Eggs is a bright, clean, family-run restaurant with a great vibe and atmosphere, from the music playing in the background, to the friendly staff, to the smell of fresh pancakes and bacon wafting through the place. The food? Absolutely wonderful! I started with a beignet with strawberry sauce. Fried to perfection and coated with powdered sugar, this will make you anticipate your entree even more. For the main event I decided on the Two Eggs Platter: Two eggs, pancakes, and a side of bacon. The portions were big, and the pancakes were light and fluffy, sweetened just enough to let the syrup and butter do their job. The eggs were cooked perfectly (as you would expect from a restaurant called Two Eggs), and the bacon ... Salty but not too salty, crispy, with that melt-in-your-mouth texture that all real bacon connoisseurs look for but is so hard to find. As a bonus, I ordered a biscuit, which I affectionately named Biscuit-zilla. Their biscuits are the size of a large fist, but they are also light and flaky and have a great crust on the outside. I also snagged a bite of my son's Bananas Foster pancake and it too was perfection on a plate. Oh, and let's not forget the coffee...Full-bodied but not overpowering, and plenty of refills. The wait staff is top-notch, always checking back and refilling drinks, very friendly and smiling, and seem to genuinely like working there. That says a lot about the place right there, in my opinion. These folks have done their research and testing and are hitting home runs on everything I tried. I can't say enough good about this place. Cute and cozy brunch spot here in McDonough! My bf saw it on the road going home one day and we finally had the time to try it out. Food was regular breakfast food to me.....BUT the service made up for it. India was a sweet server! Prices were also average and reasonable. In my honest opinion, I've had better shrimp/grits and salmon/grits. Flavor was good, but it didn't "wow" me..... :-( On the bright side, the little one enjoyed his pancakes and eggs! I will definitely be back to try other food on the menu especially because it was in the area. SUPPORT YOUR LOCALS! Bathrooms were clean. They had a real wooden diaper changing table which was cute. This place was great. The food was amazing. I like the fact their menu has several vegetarian options. The food was very "clean" tasting. The eggs didn't have the usual buttery flavor one associated with restaurants. The food all seemed fresh and made as you ordered it. We brought our twin six year olds and they enjoyed the food as well. I know it's not necessarily a "family" place, but they enjoyed it. The customer service was good but the wait times were poorly calculated and we were sat at a dirty table. We did ask the server to wipe the table and seats but the floor was still dirty. Greeted promptly at the door and seated at the neighborhood table - great high top set up near the bar, the perfect setup for my group. Bliss took great care of us by making suggestions and being patient as we made up our minds. I decided on the Red Eye Iced Latte - a smooth combination of whiskey and a latte that was awesome. I also had the Mediterranean bowl, a great combo of eggs, chicken sausage, feta, and mushrooms. A great mix, went well with the to die for grits. Absolutely a great Yelp find. I truly enjoyed my breakfast on 2/22/20. The place was crowded which gave me an indication that this place was a gem in the neighborhood on the south side. I had the fish and grits and added a pancake. Everything was seasoned perfect. I just had to ad some hot sauce to my fish (habit I guess). The owner was very friendly and had a true conversation with me as I ate. He introduced his wife and she was pleasant as well for this day she was dealing with a medical emergency and had to informed her husband EMS would be coming inside. This place was wonderful. From the beginning we got incredible service and delicious food. We came in with a party of twelve on a Sunday and were promptly seated (5-7 min wait) and catered to. This was my 3rd visit to this new place in Mcdonogh and I must say it is still good. I expect to wait on the weekend so that didnt bother me. The food was very hot and delicious. My only complaint is that they did not bring out our food at the same time. I had a traditional breakfast and my friend had the BIG Fish sandwich. They brought my food out and her sandwich 15 mins later. I had already finished 90% of my food when her food arrived and I thought that should not have happened. Came here after dropping my daughter off to girls scouts on Saturday. When I pulled up the line was out the door I was lucky it was just me and I sat at the bar. Where can I start, I was greeted and seated immediately, of course this was a weekday morning so they weren't busy. Upon entering the restaurant I felt a good vibe along with smiling faces. While being seated I was given a menu. Oh my goodness the menu, there were so many choices for breakfast/ brunch. I decided to order the fish with grits along with one pancake. The fish was seasoned just right for my palate. The grits hands down needed no salt or pepper, I'm guessing they used heavy cream to prepare them. Now the pancake, I haven't had a pancake of that caliber since my grandmother, and that's saying a lot in my book. I'm happy to see a new breakfast/ brunch spot in McDonough.
