The sauce is not clerk sweet and the peppers themselves are not overly spicy, the peppers themselves are almost in the background when taking a bite. Their mussel appetizer is a generous portion with the mussels being the meatier ones, which I prefer as more meat and they are more flavorful! Mixed drinks can be a hit or miss as I find the aperol spritz sometimes is made on the weaker side and their margs are not always shaken well. I tend to stick with the wines. For dessert the tiramisu is always a go to choice as it is a generous portion. Lady, the atmosphere never misses. I love to sit at the tables in the bar area but their dining room is just as nice. Overall this is a consistent spot for food, atmosphere, service, and an overall nice afternoon/evening out.

The interior is very well designed and their new menu is fantastic. I had a chance to have dinner on a Saturday in April for my brothers birthday. We shared (2) orders of Mussels in their red sauce for our appetizer. Their red sauce was awesome and they were some of the largest mussels I have had. For dinner I chose a simple Bolognese pasta which like the mussels was fantastic. Even though I didn't have much room left my son and I shared homemade chocolate banana bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Riley our sever was great and the food didn't disappoint. I highly recommend that you stop in and give Scoogis a try.

Service like that always makes a difference and he made the experience feel really relaxed and welcoming. The space itself is cute and has a really nice vibe. They have a grass wall that makes a perfect photo backdrop, but just a heads up -- you'll need a larger table in front of it to sit there. If you're hoping to grab that spot for pictures, definitely come with a group of four or more. Another huge plus: free parking. If you know Philly, you know that alone is a win. It made getting there and leaving super easy. Making a reservation was also simple, and the crowd when we went was really diverse, which I always appreciate. Now the important part -- the food and drinks were great. I loved my drinks and everything we ordered hit the mark. One thing I really appreciated was the avocado toast, which was made with actual fresh avocado instead of one of those pre-made spreads a lot of places use. You can definitely taste the difference. Overall it was a really solid experience with good food, good drinks, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I'd absolutely come back. What we ordered: * Hugo Spritz * Bellini * Focaccia * Avocado Toast * Steak & Eggs * Sweet Pea * Devil's Pool * Espresso Crème Brûlée

I was really hoping to find our go-to pizza shop here because it got fairly high ratings. It was…read morenot to be. My husband got a small plain pizza and I got a chicken gyro & Italian wedding soup. My husband said the pizza was okay but that's all I could get out of him. I asked how the crust was and he said okay. I asked about the sauce and he said it was okay. I asked him if it lacked salt and he said no. The only thing he would say beyond that was that the pizza we make is much better. We perfected our recipe during the pandemic and it is pretty killer. He saved his leftover slices so I tasted the one that was left in the box and I thought the sauce was too sweet. I personally did not care for the overall flavor of the crust or the sauce. The garlic knots that came with the soup were dry and tough. The soup itself was very bland, lacked salt, and had a layer of grease on top. There were exactly TWO tiny meatballs in the soup and they tasted like unseasoned ground beef. The wedding soup I make (I use Rao's recipe) is far superior, but I don't always feel like making my own. It would be nice to be able to buy a good soup, but this was not it. I took two bites and threw the rest away. The fries with the chicken gyro also lacked salt! The bread for the gyro was very good and the chicken strips were good and PLENTY but they also lacked salt. lol I hate overly salted food but I have to assume that whoever cooks here doesn't understand the nuances of using salt. The sandwich had very little tzatziki sauce so it tasted dry. It seems ridiculous to complain about too much chicken, but the abundance of chicken didn't help the quality of the sandwich; it made it harder to eat because the chicken kept falling out of the sandwich. I finally deconstructed the sandwich but it needed less chicken, more sauce, and some salt. I'm glad we tried Luigi's. It had been on my radar for some time. Unfortunately, it is not what we were hoping for. It's sad that we have so many pizza shops around us but not even a handful that we would recommend. We will try Renato's in Glenside next.
