Went before catching a show at the Keswick Theater, which is just around the corner. One of us got pizza by the slice, the other got a panini. Both came out extremely quickly and HOT. Stopped in with my other half on a cold Saturday afternoon two days after Christmas. We were the only party there the whole time, other than a couple of pickups. We had a large Carne pizza. I thought it was terrific & tasty with the pizza's crispy crust. May 18, 2023, 3 for lunch - working hard for 4 hours, over 3 miles and many steps dragging a few years of stuff from my daughters off campus housing unit at nearby Beaver College/Arcadia University. We wanted something close but good!! and Italian as my daughter would like. Counter service was a little goofy marching us all up to order but I guess it keeps the personnel costs low. ABSOLUTLY a massive surprise and one of the best couple of slices I have had in years!!! We were in NY/LI for 16 years and now Florida for 1.5 years. The best there was half as good as these slices. I ALMOST went up and cancelled my lunch entrée and ordered the rest of a pie??? BUT my wife said we might come back after graduation if we like the rest of the food we ordered?? The crust, the sauce. the cheese oh my!! 10/10 My wife got the small salmon salad that had a few shrimp. All cooked nicely and served hot. she loved it and the ingredients were fresh and properly cooked. A large portion for a small order, so plenty of food. The garlic knot was nothing special especially after the pizza mega hit. 9/10 My daughter who has been anxious for some veggies after cleaning out boxes of food and canned good for school end.... she got the small craft salad. The Longobardi with Mozzarella | sausage | provolone | long hots | roasted red peppers | caramelized onions was good. It had a surprising sweet but good flavor. The spicy Cajun wings were OK but I didn't like the meat they used for the drums but the flats were better. The potato wedges were fully cooked but it lacked flavor. Nice environment with a beautiful outside deck overlooking Easton Road and what used to be Glenside Weldon school which looks beautiful but the star of the show is the pizza and there's so many different varieties. Probably one of the worst Stromboli's I've ever had. It's a day away from Halloween and I'm thinking what I Just picked up at Trios may instead have been one of their decoration props. Used to love this place, but it is no longer consistent. Today's Tomato Pie is doughy and almost tasteless, the chicken in the Arcobalano sandwich is dry as a bone, and I think the cheese on it could not have been anything but a sliver. Super disappointed. This was a Door Dash order, not sure it that makes a difference or not, but it is not at all up to par. Oh, and they now charge you to use a Credit Card, which is why I ordered through a Doordash promo. That used to be a cost of doing business, not anymore, cost passed on to the consumer, and the quality went down hill. The regular tomato pie, fresh out of the oven, is the best pizza in the area! It's not traditional tomato pie- it's a thin crust square pizza with cheese and a chunky tomato sauce. I think Trios Tomato Pie offers up one of the best pizzas in the greater Chestnut Hill area. Trios is located in the charming Keswick Village section of Glenside and also has a branch in Elkins Park. Their red pies are thin crusted but crispy. You have a wide choice for whole pies but they always also offer for sale individual slices from about four different pies. I like their standard red pie but I especially like it when you add toppings such as spinach and onions or anchovies and pepperoni. You can take the slices home and add more toppings but it's hard to resist eating them right away. read more

We had an amazing experience with Jenny at Trios using the catering hall for our daughter's baptism luncheon. Jenny was so helpful and answered all of my questions. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity received. The food was delicious everyone loved the pizzas, wings, pasta, and chicken parm. The children enjoyed the chicken fingers as well. It was BYOB so the staff had all of our drinks on ice for us. The space was great for 60 guests. We were able to have the tvs on and we had music on a Bluetooth speaker playing. The linens were provided at a reasonable cost from the restaurant. Everything was set up for us and cleaned up for us by the great staff. Jenny was so helpful checking that the food and drinks were replenished as well as that emptying the trash as needed. I absolutely would recommend using the catering hall for any party of function with family and friends. We were so pleased with the service, food, and atmosphere for such a reasonable price. read more

I work in the area from time to time and was looking for a vegan friendly meal. My coworkers were all ordering from said place. I did not want salad or fries, vegans eat more than salad. IJS. I called and s/w with a young lady about strict vegan options as I didn't see any on the menu. I was told Stromboli, calzone and pizza dough all contained egg. I thought all hope was gone. The young lady said, " wait we offer a cauliflower flower crust however it's not on the menu yet." I confirmed that it was vegan friendly and said, "yay, I'll try it!" One of the best decisions of the day. It was simply perfect! I called the restaurant back to let them know it was really good and they should definitely put the cauliflower crust on the menu. We ordered online, one small "traditional" with extra cheese, and one large "Carne" (pepperoni, sausage and prosciutto). Online ordering is easy, and the delivery time estimate was accurate. We have been getting Pizza from Trios for the past couple of months after discovering this location. Today I hosted a training course at one of my hospitals and I decided to use their catering service to provide lunch. I can't say enough about their service and the food. Everyone at the course loved the food and wanted to know where it came from. The pizzas were all great all and the panini trays were gone within moments. All 100% delicious. I suggest the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and if you add Long hots it really give it a kick. We also got their Cannoli tray, I normally have about one bite of a cannoli and that's enough. Came here on Ash Wednesday thinking it would be a cool restaurant to try out and it bragged about its tomato pie which my daughter loves so sounded like a cool place to go. Walked in and immediately realized I didn't walk into a restaurant but a fancy looking take out joint with tables. Grabbed a menu but thought, why do I need a menu for plain pizza and tomato pie? Put it back, without reading it and ordered some plain slices they had and a tomato pie. Waited FOREVER and finally, slices with a tsunami of oil falling off came along with a plain pizza. I told the girl we ordered tomato, she said that is tomato. I told her no that's plain to which she made me realize you do need a menu for tomato pie because everywhere else in the world tomato pie is tomato but here tomato pie is plain pizza with a few spots of tomato sauce. Being that it was my mistake because the menu does claim light mozzarella, even though it should say Light tomato, I requested a tomato pie without cheese. She goes back up to the counter, then waits on 5 walk ins and 20 minutes go by so I figured I'd go up and get a box for the one we aren't eating and pay for the additional. As I get which she states is a large box to fit the pizza I'm not eating, she rings up my 2nd tomato pie which is more expensive than theirs without the "light" mozzarella. I asked how long it will be since it's already felt long enough and she squints at the screen and says 15 minutes which means she clearly didn't put the order in until just now and not when I requested it. Another 5 minutes later she comes to our table and says, "I'm sorry did you want this tomato pie with or without cheese?" Seriously? So many responses ran through my head but I just wanted the food so I said without and she walked off. 15 minutes later here she comes with a smaller box for the pizza which should have been the same size but wasn't. However this tomato pie was perfect and tasted great. The two stars are for the actual tomato pie, they lost 3 for the pizzas having oil pouring off like a faucet and staff that lacks listening skills as well as common sense. read more

This is generally our go-to pizza spot for more gourmet pizzas! We love their range of flavorful options for pizzas and their salads are also really high quality, not filled with cheap romaine and ingredients. We especially love the Bianca pie, Rustica pie and Mediterranean salad. If you want a pizza that feels a little more gourmet that doesn't make you feel terrible after eating, go with the thin square! Their round pies are also good and will also hit the spot if you're looking for a greasy cheesy pepperoni pie. The stromboli is also very good, we especially like the buffalo chicken. Pay attention to their pizza specials, as they make some really interesting pies that you'll wish became menu regulars! UPDATE: I got a call from Trios after this review. I'm glad they take comments seriously. It remains to be seen if the quality of the pizzas improves. The guy who called said they could go by my instructions on an order. The thing is, I have never specified anything and the pizzas have been inconsistent. My hope is that someday I can just order a pizza without having to say anything and it will be edible - not over-baked, not covered in grease, and still hot in the 4 minute drive to my house. I would like to give Trios a good rating because when their pizzas are good, they're very good, but when they're bad, they're very bad. I think one of the most important things about being a good restaurant is consistency of quality. If a restaurant is going to specialize in pizza then every pizza that goes out the door should meet their quality control standards. I have to say their salads and other offerings are quite good but we seldom order those without getting a pizza, which are hit or miss. Most times over the past few years we have been very disappointed in the pizzas from here. It has gotten so bad that I seldom order from here and I always hesitate before I place an order for delivery - but I keep hoping for one of their GOOD pies. Last night we ordered the Rustica. The sausage was too brown and dried out. There was a layer of grease on top that hid the cheese! The crust was overcooked and while not black, was very brown on the bottom. The crust around the sides was inedible - too dry and over-baked. We only live 4 minutes away but the pizza was not hot, only warm. The poor quality of the pizza was a sign of both being over-baked and sitting around too long. It was all I could do to eat a couple of slices and that's just because I was very hungry. Ordered delivery online and it was super easy. Can customize everything on their online ordering system which is super convenient and normally not the easiest thing to do when ordering online. We ordered a thin white crust pizza with long hots on the side and a regular cheese pizza. Both pizzas came out perfect. Sometimes when you get delivery the pizzas arrive looking like they've been through a NASCAR race but these were delivered to my house as if they just left the oven.
