Nothing but the best for our little girlie. We always try to make a stop here when we're in the area. This area of town is super pet friendly and we love letting her stroll around finding new places and meeting new people. Our most recent visit we met 4 Luna pups of all sizes. Our main reason for visiting was because we wanted to grab a sweet treat for our girl for her birthday. They have pup cakes and cookies, endless toys, treats, food, pig ears, sticks and more. We always find something new to snag each time. The staff is always super friendly, and are great with pups. They also have a pup fountain if your pets get thirty with fresh water coming out just inside the shop. read more

This was the only place I would shop when I lived in Illinois. Now that I live out of state, I still purchase holiday presents from them. At Christmas a present I bought and had shipped out of state arrived empty. It was no fault of Two Bostons, but rather the post office. Two Bostons went above and beyond and resent the present while it was being resolved with the post office. The staff is fabulous and I will continue to support this small business from another state! Thank you to the lovely ladies that helped me out a few days ago! So it was a special day in our household. It was my birthday, my son's 6 month birthday, and my dog child's 10th anniversary of his "Gotcha day", which apparently is a thing. The women working informed me that his "adoption" day is actually is "Gotcha day". Anyways, we were there getting a special bakery item for my beagle boy Marley. When I arrived, preschooler and 6 month old in tow, my preschooler told me she needed to go potty. Great... I asked the clerk who said they don't have a public restroom. She gave me side eye and asked if it was for my daughter, she so graciously walked us to the back. The bathroom is also a storage room so I see why they don't normally allow people back there, you could easily swipe something. I let my daughter go potty and we hightailed it back to the front of the store. THANK YOU for letting my daughter use the restroom, seriously might not've made it back to the store to purchase anything if I had to leave to find a different restroom. Because they let us use the restroom I actually bought more than I intended because I was so happy. We left with a few baked items, a Notre Dame dog bow tie, and a squeaky toy. My daughter was happy to give the goodies to our dog when we got home, dog was happy to get some treats and new toy, and I'm happy I made it home with everyone happy and no potty accidents. read more

Didn't seem friendly, helpful or welcoming. I am of African American decent. I went in here to pickup my pup a few items since I was next door shopping at Nordstrom and Whole foods next door to them. Entered, and the cashier did speak to acknowledge they saw me come enter. Outside of acknowledgement and having people strategic do inventory in the areas I shopped in, there wasn't any interactions until I asked for help. I did purchase a couple items and asked if I wanted to sign up for their rewards system. Nothing else, no friendliness at all. Employees and businesses really should be more in-tuned with their energy and actions. You never know who someone is or who they know. The key is to be robotic. Treat everyone the same so you never have to worry about how you treated someone. Be kind to EVERYONE! read more

Okay, it's official. Dogs eat better than I do. They also dress better, walk better, have better toys and look cuter, too. I'm not a pet owner, but I am friends with fur-mommies, and each time I'd drive or walk by this shop, I'd set a sideways glance at it before deciding to be responsible and get back to work. But as I had time to kill this afternoon, I figured I'd indulge my ever-burgeoning curiosity and stop in. And am I ever glad I did. Wow... just, wow. There are specialty collars and leashes, water dishes and doggie outfits, and toys so cute I wanted to take them home for myself. Canis lupus best be familiaris with this homo stealin' their chew toys. But what really smacked my gob was the bakery counter. I approached it with a ravenous glint in my eyes (so I was craving chocolate), and several employees stopped to ask if they could help me. And I unabashedly asked if I could eat any of them. What? I was hungry! They barely blinked in surprise before informing me that yes, I could, and yes, they could also help me select an easily-digested biscuit for the dog of a friend who had recently been struck by a car. One lovely lady jokingly suggested the martini glass. Mm...peanut-butter martinis. And it was wheat-free, too, for the furry gluten-averse. In the back are several fridges and freezers for food that looked like it'd been shipped mistakenly from the Whole Foods next door. Pre-packaged deli dinners and cuts of meat that are locally sourced? And here I am, top of the food chain, living off Wonder Bread and canned tomatoes. The selection for feline familiars is a little lacking, but let's face it: cats are just happy with the ring off a gallon of milk and a nice, warm face to sleep on. The bakery items (they look delicious) are displayed beautifully and they have an abundance of quality choices for your four legged friend. Today I got Chaps some bully sticks (buy 6 get 1 free) and got recommendations (great customer service, super friendly) for two other treats: Charki Puffs and Simply Natural liver and bacon coated bites. Confession: I buy way too many toys, treats, and clothes (yes, I said clothes) for my dog. She gets way too much attention and she is pretty much (okay, definitely) treated like a human in our household. But I mean, can ya blame me? Home-girl is an adorable puggle with a personality and I work from home so we spend lots of time together. Stella definitely is spoiled, but Two Bostons is partly to blame for that. They have a great selection of bakery items, treats, bones, clothes, food, and anything else you may need for your dog. The edible items they offer are on the healthier side too which is nice -- takes the work out of making good decisions for your dog. Some of the items I've purchased here include doggie birthday cupcakes, bully sticks, toys, paw wax, and collar bows. They even have some nice items for doggie-parents like car magnets, stationary, and other dog trinkets. Everyone who works here is super nice and helpful. They offer a Two Boston Bux rewards program thing which is nice, but I always forget to bring the coupon back. Which honestly would be helpful, because everything is a little pricier here compared to your average PetSmart. The customer service is worth it though. Two Bostons also has a location downtown Naperville, but I find this location to be way more convenient! Parking is easier and I usually kill two birds with one stone and stop into one of my other favorite stores in this strip mall after (Whole Foods, Home Goods, or World Market). P.S. Better than what I expected. I've been here two times currently to this location and since I was low on dog food I figured I'd pick up a bag of Fromm. Compared to where I normally go Pets Supplies Plus, this place is much better. They carry wow different varieties of flavors of this dog food brand from what I'm use to. It's cheaper here for Fromm dog food and since I signed up you actually get better rewards for shopping with them no membership card needed "sweet" they just have you into their database by number. I found out for every 10 bags of Fromm dog food you purchase you get a 11th bag for free. I wish I found this place earlier because boy I've been buying this brand for so many years and no rewards at the other place just maybe a coupon for $5 off on yours pet's birthday or sometimes a free dog toy. I hate to say it, because as much as I love Pixel and Fedora, I'm not going to buy them super-fancy designer dog collars and leashes, just like I don't spend my money at Lord and Taylor or Saks for my own clothes. I'm sure there's a market for designer doggie everything, but for me I'm fine paying Petsmart prices. I will say that the shop is well-stocked with a great selection of treats, toys and food and a special "bakery" area for gourmet yummables. I picked up a few treats from the glass doggie bakery treat case, and the Evil Puppies sniffed them and walked away. I guess they'd have preferred a french fry or maybe a Beggin' Strip, but whatever's in these fancy pet treats they aren't having. And sadly, if the girls don't like it, I don't like it. read more

I've been in here many times and come back routinely for the peanut butter drop treats, which my dog lives. If I bring him with me he always gets attention from the employees and sometimes even gets a tear. Employees are super friendly and helpful. My dog is a strong chewer and they helped me pick out a stuffed (yes, stuffed!) toy that he has yet to destroy! That's a task that usually takes him 10 minutes max to accomplish, and we've had hours of playtime with it. The only negatives are the high prices ave the location isn't convenient if you are in a hurry and don't want to deal with the hustle and bustle of downtown Naperville. Despite the high prices, they do have a nice reward program. And when your rewards are going to expire, they give you a courtesy call to remind you, which was much appreciated as I would've been sad if I forgot! Went in here once and was pretty unimpressed. We were briefly greeted but that was it as far as customer service. It wasn't welcoming or enticing like their downtown Naperville location. And again, lots of overpriced things that are much cheaper at Dog Patch and even PetSmart. If you want the best for your pet, Two Bostons is the place to go. This is the only place I'll shop for my dog! From the moment you walk in, you can tell how passionate they are about animals. I always get a friendly greeting and, if I have my dog with me, the employees always go nuts petting her, giving her treats, and giving her attention overall. They always know what they're talking about and I've always gotten personalized recommendations from them for food, treats, toys, etc. When making a recommendation, they always ask what type of dog it's for and what her likes/dislikes are for treats. I'm signed up for their rewards program & get an email update every week or so. Normally I hate getting emails from stores; this is the only store email I'll actually read! It lets you know what store promotions they have going on (sometimes BOGO, or seasonal specials) and gives you general helpful info for your pet (reminders to start giving them flea medicine, ways to reduce pet odors, etc.) Two Bostons does tons of events, including "doga" (dog yoga...I have yet to try this, but it sounds interesting), weekly walks, monthly birthday parties, even photos with Santa/Easter Bunny. It's nice to see them working so hard to be involved with the community. Plus they are heavily involved with several animal shelters and rescue organizations and sometimes do events to support them. Sure, sometimes their stuff tends to be on the pricier side, like most small businesses. But I'd rather give my money to a local, caring business than any chain pet store! read more

They also have a bakery which I decided to splurge and bought my precious Bella about 30 dollars worth of treats. Once we got them home she couldn't even bite into them. My husband could barely break them into pieces!! ( he's not a small guy either) They are hard as a rock!! This company sent me the wrong item and will not respond to me. They removed my negative review. I have a date stamped screen shot of the exact listing before they changed it. When I made my purchase the product was listed as 1.7 oz bags (with 5 bully sticks each) but I only received plastic-wrapped individual sticks (no expiration date, no batch numbers ,etc.) I sent 3 messages and a claim through PayPal. Still no word from the company. No idea why they won't make this right. read more

I like Two Bostons, but it had been over a year since my last visit. So, surprise! They sent me a $7 coupon (valid on anything) in my e-mail. When I first checked out Two Bostons, I purchased some bully sticks for my beagle. Well, he devoured those all too fast, and I stopped buying them because they're so damn expensive. I love the bakery case in here. The treats look good enough for ME to eat! They are also reasonably priced ($2-3/each) if you want to spoil your pup a bit. For my beagle's last birthday I purchased a blue "Happy Birthday" cupcake. Most recently I picked up a blue donut for my friend's beagle, as well as a beefy looking bone. I also like the yogurt-chip treats, packaged by Two Bostons, because they're natural. I once received a sample of these. They look like nonpareils, so I wasn't sure if they were for me or the dog. When I got home, I sniffed one and tasted one. Curious, I called the store. The employee I spoke with assured me they were for the dog, they were just all natural and made with yogurt, and I appreciated that they didn't make me feel like an idiot! They sell generously sized containers for $12. I haven't bought any toys here, but compared to Petsmart and Petco (already pricey at times), their prices are even higher. The dogs are just going to rip into it, so spending $14 on a stuffed sock monkey isn't happening. The sales tactics are WEIRD. It's the one thing that keeps me out of here, aside from the prices. Any time I've been in here, someone sidles up to me and takes interest in whatever I'm looking at. Then, they start talking to me as if they aren't REALLY an employee. You'll start to get the comments like, "oh, these (treats, toys, bully sticks, etc.) are so GREAT," and when I look up I realize it's the same person who asked me two minutes ago if I needed help. Lucky for me, I'm not easily swayed by stuff like this, but it's still just WEIRD. I'm happy with their variety of bully sticks, natural treats, and that delicious looking bakery case. If you're a new dog owner, beware: you will get sucked into blowing big bucks here! read more

If I had to make a list of small businesses I feel good about supporting, Two Bostons would be at the top and it's mainly because of the super friendly staff who act as though they actually care about my business and my dogs. There's one girl who works here, I wish I knew her name, who is phenomenal. When we were looking for a booster/car seat for our two small dogs, she was super helpful helping us pick one. Then we came in to buy winter coats for our little girls, and she was there again to help us try them on. She's got blonde hair, and glasses, and deserves a raise. :) Everybody we've ever encountered here has always gone above and beyond and for that reason, we will continue coming here! Wow, I just can't say enough wonderful things about Two Bostons!! Everyone there is extremely educated about their products and the health of your furbabies. If they don't have the answer to your question, they always offer to help you find out. They have shown time and time again how much they care about me and my pups!! From always going out of their way by offering to do special orders to asking other customers for recommendations for a vet specialist when we were in need, they have made us feel like a friend rather then just a customer. Being that my dogs are my children, I love that I feel confident that they only bring the best and safest products into their store. From healthy food and treats to fun and fabulous couture to spoil your babies with, I know I will never leave empty handed. Two Bostons has so many fun events throughout the year that we love to attend. Their Halloween party is one of my favs. They have a costume parade with your pups, several contests, and tricks for treats for the furkids. For every big event like pics with the Easter bunny and Santa, they have a professional photographer take pictures of your dogs and post them online for you to download for free!! I know of other stores that offer these pictures, but none of which do it complimentary!! The owners, AdreAnne and Andy, are absolutely amazing!! They treat their customers like an extension of their own family. Over the last several years, I lost 2 of my babies and the compassion they showed will never be forgotten!! And when we were ready to bring a new puppy home, their happiness for us was equally as warm. Two Bostons is a great store to treat the fur baby in your life. They have a huge selection of dog products, food and even a dog bakery. I wanted to pick up a birthday "cake" for my baby's second birthday but all they offered were Happy Birthday cookies at $8. Yikes! Thats a little steep. But I did relent and got him two decorated cookies instead. I was also a little disappointed that the selection for big dogs is a bit limited. Most of the designer collars would not even fit on my Shepherd. Come on, he wants to be stylish too. They do offer coupons in the store which is cool. Cool business! I originally saw 2 Bostons while having some coffee in downtown Naperville, but I learned that they also have this 75th Street location which is a bit closer to me. I have a Boston Terrier so I was immediately drawn to this place. The inside has tons of toys, friendly staff, treats galore, and the day I went, they even had some puppy adoptions towards the front (which for me means free puppy petting). Bought a small fake rawhide (apparently this type was much better for the dog, ask 'em about it) and a small ice cream cone squeaky toy. Ferdinand loved the toy but didn't really dig the rawhide thing, but whatever--it was only like a buck or two. Be aware that since this place is more of a boutique, the prices are a bit higher but I feel better supporting a place like this over someplace like Petco. read more

Hands down best customer service! I have called on a few occasions to check if my dog's favorite treat is in stock before I make the trip to the store. If it is, they ALWAYS put it aside for me and if not, they order it and call me when it comes in. And then they hold it for me. They are amazing. This place is cute, there's specialty pet food, tons of toys and collars, leaches, feeding dishes, and my favorite a small case of pet bakery type treats for dogs and the non picky cat! I have a ragdoll and he totally eats anything you put in his face so he loved his birthday treats! I got one small treat made with peanut butter and a hard treat donut made of bacon and cheese and a little birthday hat haha they also threw in some salmon flakes which he devoured! We came here in December to get my pup's absurdly cute pics with Santa. We're regulars at the downtown Naperville location, but I made the trek out to Route 59 for Santa Claus. If you won't go near Aurora for the big guy in the red suit, who can you go for?! The Santa event was a huge success, but the store itself is sort of strangely poorly lit and small. The one in downtown Naperville is probably actually smaller, but insanely better setup. The staff is friendlier, as well. They have all the same products, which are fabulous, so be sure to check it out if you're driving to the edge of the earth. Otherwise, go to the downtown location for a brighter, more helpful, friendlier experience. read more

Although I am long time customer of the store, I had a particularly rude encounter with a clerk last night. I asked a simple question about redeeming coupons on dog food and she gave me a convoluted answer. When I asked for clarification, she gave me a snooty reply and threatened to refuse me service! I will not be disrespected by a store clerk over a $15 bag of dog food. I was looking for dog coats for my two dogs. They were very overpriced. I went across the street to Costco and purchased higher quality coats for less than half the price. Lost me as a customer! read more

Love this place! Both stores are nice, but the Springbrook one is more roomy inside and definitely has better parking. They have a great selection of products. Yes, their collars, leashes and beds are way more expensive than other places. I just purchase those items elsewhere. They also are really good about giving out coupons or having special promotions. I really like their food, treats and toys. I like knowing that any food or treat I pick out there is safe for my dog. They don't carry crap food, and they pay attention to any recalls. They have great supplements and skin care products too. There are a couple employees that I'm not impressed with (being asked to go outside cause my dog was barking wasn't great), but overall they have a great knowledgeable staff. My dog was in bad shape when I adopted her, and the Two Bostons staff has been great recommending products for her. The vet can't believe how much better she looks now. Christin is my favorite employee at Springbrook. She's very knowledgeable and patient. She takes the time to really discuss your dog's issues before recommending the best items. When my dog started having a medical issue and needed special food, Christin recommended the Nature's Instinct Raw and actually called the food manufacturer to obtain the percentages of phosphorous and sodium for the different flavors. Since switching my dog to the raw food, her protein numbers for her kidneys have stabilized. You can't beat their bakery selection. I'm mixed on the bully sticks in baskets on the floor...mainly because I end up buying more than planned when my dog grabs them out of the basket. LOL. Apparently, she thinks it's a free bully stick buffet. But a bravo bully will keep her entertained for awhile. read more

A cute boutique for pets! So, I dont have a dog, and I was getting a gift for a coworker whose dog was sick. They were able to walk me through getting the perfect gift for my coworker. Pushy salespeople. I visited this shop to buy a car seat for my dog. They had a few at the front but I wanted to look around the rest the shop to see what else I might want to buy. The salesperson asked what I was shopping for, and I responded that I was just looking. Most salespeople understand that this is their cue to leave the customer alone. As I tried to look down a different aisle he followed me to ask what kind of dog I was shopping for, then could he show me this table of sale items, oh he saw me looking at the beds, does my dog like soft toys or squeaky toys, on and on, no matter how many times I asked to be left alone and said I wanted to look around. When a customer asks to be left alone REPEATEDLY and walks away from you after each question, you don't continue interrogating her. I drove an hour out of my way to buy a $200 Snoozer car seat (and probably would've grabbed other goodies as well), but he made me so uncomfortable I left without buying anything. Thank you to Two Bostons for a WONDER-FUR FREE EVENT today. They organized the entire mall for an adoption event. Signage was easy to follow, staff checked with participants to make sure they had everything they needed through the day, there was a calm feeling in the air as they had answers to everything I asked. When I went in the actual store a young man was on the floor having a fitting for the proper collar and leash for new dog. Everyone was helping someone. They even made the sun shine. We wandered into Two Bostons after hearing a lot about it from other Doggie enthusiasts. It's over the top, of course - but they don't claim to be a discount pet store, there's plenty of those already. You can design a dog bed - there are books of fabric swatches!, grab wholesome treats from the bakery, and shop around for 'good-for-you' dog food and treats. The service was impeccable, so knowledgeable about our breed, English Bulldog, and make some very informed recommendations. Sure, we're eating Ramen noodles, but at least our pup has the very best in food and attire ; ) read more
