food - food is the review section i am most able to offer praise and discussion. i'd first heard of two 2's from a worker with the restaurant who shopped at the grocery store where i was working to get basil. so when i'd come to eat a couple weeks after, i ordered a pizza with basil for an ingredient, to which i was happily surprised to be told would entail a base layer of basil paste for a sauce, spread over hand tossed dough and topped with cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms, before being baked to a layered crunch in the brick oven. i was completely satisfied with that pizza order, but did notice some speciality-topping pizzas on the menu that were also enticing, including a tulsa king pizza with italian-originated kmeats and cheese along with the veginator pizza that includes about 3x the type of veggies i ordered on my pizza but comes standard with marinara sauce. my only comment reminiscent of a critique is that the crunchiness of the pizza, though really good fresh, does leave crispy and relatively difficult to chew pieces for the next morning. such a little critique is not enough to dock my rating of the restaurant, though, and the tulsa style attributes the workers craft for the pizza and restaurant compensate well. and lastly, i ordered some cheesy bread also, which was cooked in a similar way in the brick oven, and went really well with the marinara dipping sauce.
service - although the worker who promoted the restaurant was not there when i went, all three of the workers who i saw and was greeted by, including the owner, were all welcoming to me as a first-time customer and accommodating for the chilly weather by offering me a table and chair to sit and eat on the patio of the adjacent dispensary.
ambiance - besides the accommodation of getting to eat at the table by the food truck, i also appreciate the string lights spanning the parking lot of the restaurant, being both decorative and functional in that customers can more easily find the location. read more
