Arrived here on a Saturday around 1:45 for lunch. It wasn't too crowded, lots of seating. It took the food over an hour to arrive.

Bathrooms are like really bad truck stop. They have not been properly cleaned in months. Pickle barrels mostly empty and the one that is full I believe the pickles have soured. This used to be a great place. Will not be back . read more

The new TR in the food park next to downtown Plano does not disappoint. I used to visit the Deep Ellum location very regularly and had tried most of their menu. I was glad to get a good burger in Downtown with easy takeout and fast sit down service. read more

Burgers were decent. Sweet potato fries were barely warm. The atmosphere is fine, interesting decor... but the prices were too high. We went to the counter to order, so the service/ contacts were minimal. I doubt we'll go back because there are plenty of burger joints in town that we like. read more

Just stood in line for 20 minutes. Just to be told they had a big party they were cooking for and our food would take another 20-30 minutes to cook. Waste of my time. Get a waitress you no community supporting chump. read more

I took my mom, boyfriend out for Valentine's Day. The food was sub par, not very good at all. Our order wasn't right. When I tried to complain about the food, I was shut down by management. Location is clean, and trendy. Good music playlist; however, when it comes to the food - I was disappointed. We ordered the Millionaire - open faced Wagyu burger with onion strings. This is the most expensive meal on the menu. We had to excavate the burger under all of the onions. The meat was extremely salty and dry. Three of us ordered the same thing and had the same results. Upon telling the manager on duty - he agreed it was overcooked and might have been over spiced. He advised they would do better next time. (We will not be coming back). So, TRBC opened on Monday, and we went on Thursday. It was jam packed, just like every other new restaurant that opens in Abilene. There was a VIP party that night, so the line was seriously out the door onto the sidewalk. The Vice President of TRBC was there and made a speech thanking Abilene for the warm and crowded welcome. We spent about 30 minutes in line, but it was worth it. There's seating at the bar, plenty of indoor seating, and a fantastic covered patio, complete with fans and heaters. All of the Allen Ridge complex backs up to the mini lake, complete with fountains blowing water high in the air. And there is a walking path around the lake. If you haven't been to TR, their thing is crazy burgers with crazy names. Glenda and Susan got plain old cheeseburgers, of course. Me, the crazier the better. My favorite has been the Western, but this time I tried the Gosh Jam It. Omg, a new favorite! A half pound patty, cooked perfectly, covered with herbed goat cheese, a bacon, onion, tomato jam, and some chipotle sauce drizzled on top. Delicious! The goat cheese and bacon jam together absolutely make this burger. A must try if your willing! The fries were great, and I'll try the onion strings next time. You can upgrade to wagyu beef or Buffalo for $3. And then there are the pickle barrels. Dill, Ranch, Atomic, Bread & Butter, and Sweet & Spicy. Try them all, but the bread & butter were my favorite. All Kind pet adoption was on the patio that night, and had some dogs if you were interested in taking a new hound dog home with you. The one in the picture was such a great dog! Anyway, plenty of alcohol, and adult milkshakes that will tickle your taste buds! It was such a great visit, there's no reason to stay at 4 stars, so 5 it is! Let's hope it stays that way. Over half the tables were empty and dirty. Bad impression. 4 burgers took 35 minutes to cook and the place was empty. Food was luke warm at best. Onion strings were room temperature. I have eaten at other TRB in the DFW area. This visit was very disappointing. read more

First time trying this restaurant. The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars was because of the atmosphere! We enjoyed a relaxing evening in the patio on a warm night! However the food left something to be desired. I had the chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was way over cooked and the fries were in pieces and also overcooked. The wait time was long so we decided to have a couple drinks while we waited. Worst Margarita I have ever tasted, it was basically water and simple syrup. My husband suggested adding an extra shot...didn't help at all, it tasted like the extra shot was more simple syrup. If you want to enjoy good friend's in a relaxed atmosphere, and don't care about the food or the wait time, then this is the place to go. Very trendy and laid back for the college crowd! read more

Just tried Twisted Root burgers. She had classic cheeseburger and I had the Western burger, we split order of fries. Was very impressed with quality of meal. Nice interior and service was quick, even with a packed house. I will be a regular patron. This location is new to Abilene and is not the caliber of San Angelo or Roanoke. The Texas toast was barely toasted and only on one side. The chicken tenders (advertised with fries) where dark brown. Fries are $3 more. The staff said it was the batter and if they don't cook them to that color the chicken is not done. Well, they were dry and lacked any flavor. My table mates sampled and agreed. I took them back they came back with the new tenders, a half shade lighter. They were less dry. I liked the sauce. I will try again in 6 months and see if the bugs are worked out. The food and shakes are good but the staff were not very friendly and they messed up our orders.

Food tasted decent, though nothing was very hot when we got it. We had a big order, so maybe they tried to get it all ready before calling you up for it, which means that it cooled down a bit. Service was only ok. We had never been to the place so we weren't used to some of the unique ways in which it operated, and we had to ask for guidance rather than it being offered. One example: I ordered a root beer float and received a half cup of ice-cream and had had to ask what that was all about. Ambiance was nice. The food court was beautiful. read more

We ordered 2 burgers and fries. The burgers were not seasoned not an ounce of salt or pepper. The fried onions strings was missing on one of the burgers. The fries on the other hand were heavily seasoned, which made it disgusting. read more

This Abilene location needs to hire a lot more employees. Expect very slow service with only one cook and one employee at peak hour.

Never coming back here again. The patty was under cooked and I did not know it and it causes severe food poisoning later that night for me. You would think for the wait times they would actually cook your burger all the way through properly but it seems that they want to cut corners. read more

The food is fair! Fun atmosphere and menu! Love that they call fun names to get your food. Wait here was 1 1/2 hours of sitting before they even got busy! The food is not as good as the original Twist in Deep Ellum. Nor is the atmosphere. But once something becomes a chain...I will definitely go back for a part 2 try! The food was decent, the burger would have been better had my bun not been stale and my avocado not black in parts. I ordered chips with my burger and they were a yucky inedible greasy mess. The pickles that they have are a nice touch but nothing spectacular, but what made the experience not so great was the service. The poor staff up front all looked miserable through the entire visit it was quite uncomfortable. Even the manager looked annoyed when we let them know one of our burgers was made incorrectly. The ambiance is cute and the establishment is new and still pretty clean, the pricing is fair for the quality and quantity of the food you get. Great location to either sit and eat or takeout. It is a little confusing at the pickup area for takeout as it is right near the register to order. Hard to know who is coordinating the takeout orders and even though I told the lady I was here i waited 10-15 minutes needlessly because she left and the other folks didnt know i was standing there waiting. Thursday night. Not too busy and we waited over an hour for 2 hamburgers. We are patient people but came here hungry and were ready to walk out. After 60+ minutes we received the hamburgers. Oh man, imagine this: You're super pumped to sink your teeth into a juicy burger at this new spot. You've been dreaming about that perfect bite all day long. So you get there, place your order, and the anticipation is just building with every passing minute. But then, the wait starts to drag on... and on. 45 minutes tick by, and you're just sitting there, stomach growling, excitement turning into a major bummer. They had completely forgotten about your order. You ask the cashier about your food and she said they thought they had done it. So imagine to your surprise she just offers a full refund. Your burger gets there 10 minutes later but you don't help but still feel a little bummed this all happened. Well don't imagine, it happened to me today.
