I've been frequenting Twisted Pine for over 2 years. They have a great variety of quality beers and it's a chill environment where you can take a date, play some trivia, or catch a big sports game without it being too rowdy. The staff is solid (with Bobby being exceptional). Bobby is knowledgeable, friendly, quick, and has some kickass playlists up his sleeve. My wife had dinner last evening and can't say enough great things about the service, and more importantly about the food. We were both interested in having the grilled halibut, but our server informed us they were out. Initially disappointed, but were assured by our server that any of the other items on the menu were excellent. We started with the Brie toast that was excellent. My wife had the encrusted salmon, and I had a 10 oz. New York strip which was a substitute for the Hanger steak. Best steak I've ever had, as was the salmon. I stopped by after work to join coworkers who meet here every Friday. It looks like a lot of other micro's that are around, I guess it's " the look " they go for kind of an industrial looking setting. The atmosphere was nice but pretty noisy considering there weren't too many patrons. The service was a bit slow but the servers were pleasant and asked for feedback on our beer. I am not a beer fanatic so I am not qualified to judge the brew but I had a couple glasses of beer and they were good. I didn't eat here but I will on my next visit just to see how the food measures up. Overall it was a friendly and comfortable place to stop after work for a cold one. read more

As a brewery, based on what I had tried this place gets a 3. As a restaurant it gets maybe slightly higher than a 3. Take decent brewery and decent restaurant - combine them. Its a 4. You expect mediocre at both. . and though they deliver mediocrity in both, they do it decently enough to skip just a hair past mediocrity In general - rule of thumb- if a brewery serves food its probably okay to avoid. Avery is the exception. . but they are exceptional to most things. I tried a decent enough hefe. .and another beer not quite as memorable. The pizza, nachos, and other snacks all hit the spot. In the past two days, I have interacted with the hostesses at Twisted Pine and they have been terribly unaccommodating and rude (over the phone and in person). The last straw ... was when I was finally able to secure a reservation (for myself, my wife, my sister-in-law), we were unable to be seated because they didn't allow anyone under the age of 21 into the brewery. Both adults with me were over 30, so the hostess was referring to my 4 month old daughter (who was peacefully asleep). I asked if she was worried that my babe would be accidentally served. The hostess stumbled, babbled and completely lost me with her weak explanation of their policy. Massive F for customer service. Please retrain your hostesses on customer service and I will happily guzzle down a few pints at Twisted Pine. read more

The twisted pine is a diamond in the rough that you wouldn't expect to find. An industrial type building right down the street from pearl street. The outdoor patio is spectacular for such a small brewery. The inside is gorgeous and very open. The beer is amazing. Tried their wheat beer and loved it. The service was a little slow as were asked to get our own waters. Although the food made up for it. The bruschetta was delicious on toasted bread and light drizzle of olive oil over the tomatoes. The caesar salad had light dressing and grated with delicious Parmesan. I enjoyed the salad a lot as most places put way too much dressing on Caesar salads. My bf had the grilled cheese and was oozing cheese off the sides. The bread was grilled perfectly and fries were so delicious. The only suggestion to the establishment is to have more staff members during happy hour. The musician inside was wonderful but they need to work on their acoustics for better sound. read more

Friendly staff and a great vibe. This is a fun place to hang out, host an event, watch a game or play cornhole. The food is good and their pizzas are worth visiting over and over. It's fine. Their regular beers are decent, and if you can handle the caffeine, get the big shot, it's a very tasty coffee stout (porter?). It's rare for me not to find an interesting seasonal beer here as well. And, even though I'd never drink a full pint of it, the Ghostface Killah chili beer is truly unique. We have also gone for Geeks Who Drink trivia and had a good time. Small problems add up, though. Their service is consistently absolutely terrible. You. Are. Going. To. Wait. You'll wait for the host to take your name, then you'll wait for the host to seat you. You'll wait for the server to come to your table. You'll wait for your drinks, then your food, then your check. Word to the wise: just take your check up to the bar, they don't seem to be offended. You can even order up there. It's also not uncommon for them to screw up my order, although most times they'll comp it. And the prices are on the high side. The beers are $6 or $7 / pint, and then food ends up being north of $15 every time. It's also really small, and while it's nice to sit outside for the 8 months of Boulder that are nice, during the winter forget about it. So I don't know. I still go back, and other people I know really like this place. It's just unfortunate that in the many years we've lived here and gone here the service is consistently the same. read more

I normally like it here, but they were out of my two top beers today so I had to go with my third choice, a session IPA that was a little below average. My wrap was okay but a little boring. My son's cheese pizza was burnt. Didn't have time to send it back so ate what he could. To top it off the service was slow, and it wasn't even a busy night. To be fair, most other visits here have been more enjoyable. I also think that the hop zealot is an above average IPA. Though, this is the second time I've been here and it's been out (5 or 6 visits) total). I guess I need to call first and make sure that it is on tap. They have a wide selection of fun/strange and classic beers. Nice atmosphere. Also, almost all of their beers are gluten free (reduced gluten to the level where they're considered GF). Since COVID, they've had tons of outdoor seating. I hope they keep that outdoor seating (instead of reverting to a parking lot) forever! read more

Wanna try some local beer in Colorado and the staff in the lodge we stay suggest us this place! And we are so happy he did! First of all, they have a good selection of tap beer! I like the wheat beer more and my husband like stout beer more, which they serve good varieties of both beer. Tuesday is happy hour all day. So we ordered mozzarella cheese and tomato and an start for us! Only $5 and it tastes really good. Not too heavy and perfect portion for the beer. In order to try different kinds of beer, we decided to order two sets of "Flight of Five", those come with 10 different kinds of beer in 5oz glass. We ordered 10 and there still more we haven't tried yet. They have at least 20 on tap. The beer is awesome! Everything taste great! We ordered most of the wheat beer, and this is really satisfied my beer dream in Colorado! Not mention about the service! Big plus for the service! The guy who served us being very helpful. He is very patient and with a happy smile all the time when he was talking to us. He explained all the tap for us and gave us good suggestion on the menu. The atmosphere is good. Came up for a visit from San Diego and have been trying various breweries in the area. For my girlfriend and I, Twisted Pine had by far, the best IPA's in the region. The beer was delicious, hoppy, and delightfully bitter. I would recommend this beer to anyone I know! The bad: Upon returning home and doing mental math, something wasn't adding up! I found a 7 dollar "Company Safety Surcharge". I understand this time is tough for companies, but I wasn't told about this charge before seating, nor was I informed it was tacked on as I gave my card to the waitress. (I wasn't given a receipt to review that everything was correct either). So be aware, you will be spending more than you think you will be, and may not be informed of it either. In the future I hope this company informs their patrons that they are charging the price of an appetizer just to be seated. Pretty shady that they say nothing about it. From way out of town. This spot came highly recommended. Walked in and stood at an empty spot at bar to order a pint. Male bartender told us to go have a seat. Lots of table service. Sat at table directly in front of bar. Over the next 15 minutes everyone who walked in was served at the bar or another table. When l went back to the bar I was served. When I wrote "no" in tip line on check I was questioned. My response was tips reflect good or at least attentive service. Shortly after such male bartender began serving tables around our table. Each time kicking my chair or glaring at me. Pretty awful attitude overall. Especially over two or three dollars that is split with others. I suggest looking inward and not acting out. This place is amazing! The pretzel app has two of the best mustards I've ever had. The plain cheese pizza was bursting with deliciousness from the beer-infused marinara to the oregano. The Colorado Farmivore Mac & Cheese is one of the best I've ever had. The goat cheese, peppers, and spinach add so many dimensions of flavor to an already excellent three-cheese base. I couldn't be happier. Finally the beers are amazing. They have a great variety and a bunch of unique flavors and combinations that make the $13 flight a great value and experience. Stopped by here yesterday at the Ale House. Definitely a nice taproom. Not real big or too small. They also served food their which is cool. As for the beer we had the 5 beer sampler. All beers I really liked. The Big Shot Espresso which tasted just like an espresso. Rasberry Wheat a lite beer with a taste of raspberry. A nice tasting Saison. Then the Cucumber cream ale was amazing. Smooth and tasted just like a cucumber. Then the jolly rancher which was hoppy but real good. Definitely wanna come back to this place. read more

So poor of service we never even made it to a seat. The sign said "seat your self", my party of four made our way back to one of the open tables but was stopped by a VERY stressed, very aggressive, employee saying we need to turn around and go wait (5-10 minutes he said, no biggy) so we did. Not two minutes later the same employee stops and shouts over the bar (and the people trying to enjoy their beer) that he can't seat us. He kept repeating this over and over louder and somehow with more wild gestures each time-interrupting every time we tried to say anything. We didn't want food, we didn't even need a table, and we really didn't mind waiting-we only came for a beer. There's a million other ways to communicate that they are busy (or going to be?
