We've done it here for as long as I remember, and I feel almost ashamed that I'm just writing this review after so many years. FotoKem has 6 screening rooms and a marvelous staff that is always friendly and helpful. It's a great facility for screenings, and they have a small kitchen in one building and a snack lounge in the other building. Their wifi handled all 100 of us logging on and using it - though we might have been reaching its max when we were all using it and streaming at the same time. Also, FotoKem delivered all our media all across the globe with their globalDATA -- they have 24 hour round the clock support M-F. We had media delivered to NZ, UK, Germany, France, India, Canada, East Coast States and West Coast States -- every delivery was smooth and fast. One of the locations had some issues, and FotoKem walked them thru everything they needed to do. (It was user unfamiliarity on the other side, and FotoKem was very patient in walking thru things and explaining and resending for us)

I've only ever had one f'n name, and if these imbeciles went by driver's license number instead of name, they could avoid a lot of headaches. But to be "blacklisted"... I feel like that's a particularly poisonous dagger to the back, considering what I've been through to help these ungrateful, coniving shits. I've witnessed many nefarious business tactics, most of which intentionally rip off its clients by bringing in paid actors as "objective viewers" to the content we're being paid to review. I've been constantly decieved and lied to by fake recruiters using stolen identities like Emmy winning sound editor "Walter Newman" 'and Ive been subjected to some pretty pathetic behavior at ASI. Despite that, I've always been professional and subjective, but I've been a working actor and member of SAG since 2000. Steven Callahan knew this as did his staff. They're just desperate to get butts in seats at the cost of their client. Deception is reality here in Hollyweird.

JUST TO BE CLEAR ONE MORE TIME ABOUT THIS PATHOLOGICAL LIAR:…read more1- I called him on Sunday Memorial Day was on Monday not Sunday. 2- I called him to ask when I could drop off my computer to fix it (it could have been anytime) 3- He offered himself to come out on Sunday and to come over in my apt 4- He refused any form of payment different than cash 5- He refused to give me a receipt ( how can you ask 370 and then you don't even pay taxes on the service you offer? weird and illegal) 6- He wanted $370 for one hour of work where he didn't do nothing but he just waited for my computer to be updated 7- I called him to do a backup of my computer but he wasn't able 8- He left without fixing the computer that didn't work, he took the money on the table and he ran away 9- He started acting weird and he was upset(my husband was there and he can testify that) when we asked him how much was his fee (which is pretty normal to ask someone how much charges for a service) and he was going to pour the water I kindly offered him on my computer. Now I have no time to waste if you wanna be honest the things are two. 1- Provide the copy of receipt that you didn't give me if you wanna prove to yelp people you are honest.. but you don't have it because you are not honest and you took cash because you don't provide invoices. 2- The other choice is proving you are honest and refund me the money you took for doing NOTHING. ( If food is not good we don't pay, if a plumber doesn't fix a pipe because is not able we don't pay, so if you weren't able to do a backup and fix my computer why should I pay? just because you bribed me to pour water on my computer right sir?) But as I already said you are a liar, who asked an indecent amount of money without giving a receipt and this is ILLEGAL sir. I believe in actions not words, so refund and prove you are honest and next time give a receipt.

After moving back here to Hollywood, I had been shopping around trying to find "The Spot"…read morefor my record. By luck I met Josh one day on one of my little "adventures" and we started talking the project. I explained it to him, he totally got it. A few weeks later we booked it. To tell you the truth I was nervous because all my past recordings were done ten years ago and I was having some self esteem issues. The second I walked in I was stoked! Coming to Stage Red Studios was the best decision I have made all year. I felt like I was at home, with friends. They are great people. Josh knows what he is doing. I was never told once that "time was up" they let me make that call. Very good atmosphere! Being a divorced father of 3 children, I can afford it! I am going back ASAP when i can get in.

Josh the engineer/owner is very good at dialing in the tones I wanted from my guitar setup. It's been a problem at other studios and can really stifle your creativity. They can get really your tone to translate how you want it on tape! The rates are fair and they even cut me a break when I booked a larger time block. I'd recommend Stage Red Studio to anyone who needs sound recordings done masterfully. Give them a try on your next project...it's a breath of fresh air.

Got scammed here…read more Bought their used 600d light for $550. Tested it at their shop it worked. Take it straight to set literally an hour later, doesn't turn on. Immediately text the owner to let him know. Had to send talent home and cancel the shoot. Show up next day, they test it, it doesn't turn on. I'm extremely polite, not blaming them at all. I'm saying let's work something out. They had another identical unit that worked. I offered to add cash to exchange the dead one for the one that worked. Staff seemed hard working and normal. The owner though got immediately confrontational and tried to get me out of there. I remained calm and asked him to put himself in my shoes and work something out with me that was fair. Nope. He immediately accused me of lying, put words in my mouth, accused me of threatening him ( what? ), etc. Well here's how I know I got scammed aside from just bad business. He claimed multiple times that in 20 years in the biz that he's never had the 600d break on him ever. He goes "You probably dropped it" ( I did not ). When I offered to go half and half to cover the damage he literally said "It costs $500 to fix that light I don't want it, we tested it, you bought it, it's your problem". He said the dollar amount confidently, not a random number, he said $500. Meanwhile the talent is waiting for me on set I'm running super late. Super stressed out. No apology of any kind by the way. I beg for at least a free 1 day rental, he immediately accuses me of trying to swap the bad light for the good one ( what? ), but finally to get rid of me agrees to 1 day of free rental ( $75 value ), puts a $500 hold on my CC, I shoot return the light. Well here's the fun part, he sends me to the repair shop ( Lux ) that he says "will fix it for sure". Just got the estimate from lux. Guess how much. $514 ( light has multiple issues ). So if he's NEVER had a 600d go bad in his 20 years in business how did he know the repair was gonna cost exactly $500? Lol. If I had to guess he plugged in the good one during the test and slipped me the bad one. I have no proof of that but I'd bet my house that's what happened. But what I do know for sure is that he treated me like some lying scammer homeless bum off the street, super rude, disrespectful, unapologetic, couldn't care less that he wasted my time, money, and ruined 2 days of my shoot. Having a keylight to not turn on on set in front of talent and makeup and client is extremely stressful and embarrassing to have to send them home, they drove 2 hours each way to get to the location. I'd stay away from these guys at all costs. If anything goes wrong you'll get treated like trash. Would have been one thing if I had it for a week. But for it to not turn on after 1 hour is crazy. I told lux unless they wanna do me a favor and half the repair cost due to the circumstances that light will have to go straight in the trash can. Lesson learned.

They take good care of your assets, and go the extra mile to get top quality transfers and (re)masters. All at very reasonable prices. High recommend! Long Review: Top-notch services here! When I first walked into the studio, it reminded me of the recording studios I grew up going to with my dad when he was producing records 40 years ago. Big, thick, heavy soundproof door. Dimly-lit room. Vintage recording and mixing equipment. Old, black leather couch. Ripped carpet with tape on the floor. Uneven steps. The smell of old vinyl. Mmmmm! I fricken love coming to this place! In fact, I was so lucky to find it. Because the quality of work is so high, that they literally serve all of the classic Hollywood music, film, TV libraries. Literally all of them. At any given moment you can see the names of famous people on the outer cases of tapes laying around waiting to be transferred. All these years later, we're remastering dad's tapes, vinyls and 8-tracks. Round N Wound has all the equipment to do it too. I've used their services 4 times so far and I'm always so surprised at how reasonably priced they are for what we ask them to do. It's really amazing stuff.
