This is such a nice shop! The people working there were very nice and answered all of my questions about the different options. They let me know that they're known for their pie cookies which are a combination of both desserts. They sounded awesome and were not a bad price at all for $3 each. We got the triple berry cookie pie which tasted great! To be honest, it was more like a mini pie in the shape and size of a large cookie than a fusion but it was still very good. I had a Unicorn Milkshake - yes that's right a Unicorn Milkshake - they exist! So delicious and pretty! My cousin had a salted caramel, ice cream, brownie thing that was sooooo good. The brownie was served warm. I also purchased a bag of "brownie ends" and a Nutella stuffed cookie. If loving this place is wrong, I don't want to be right. Every single item I purchased was beyond good. You are going to spend around $8 for a milkshake, but when you get the Art in milkshake form you'll understand why. The owners are also super nice and obviously completely in love with what they do - they really seem to enjoy their work. The flavor was lacking except for the caramel they used inside the cupcake - which was really yummy. The icing was meh. I made sure this time to try something else and still was underwhelmed. Taste is subjective, and I happen to like my cookies to have some crunch. These tasted doughy to me, maybe slightly under-cooked? They also had a sameness of flavor, perhaps using the same dough base for several of the cookies? Twisted Cookie takes this staple pie and twists it into cookie form. It keeps the flaky, buttery crust and the gooey filling and tops it off with a dusting of powdered sugar. Though the cookie was flavorful and sweet, it was a little dry and could have used more filling to compliment the copious amount of pecans. We've love this place. Cookies are pretty good. Ordered six cookies tonight. Three were delivered. The person I spoke with said there was a new employee who read the order wrong. The only solution they offered was a refund on the three cookies that were not packed and I could reorder (and pay another service & delivery fee as well as another tip - which equals the cost of three cookies). Disappointing. They seem like kind people, but this is the kind of thing that's costs you customers. As a business owner I would have been in my car delivering six cookies. read more

I loved the unique and creative cookies from here! The name of this bakery was well thought out as all the cookies have a fun twist to them. I got a few different items, including cupcake cookies, cheesecake cookie, Nutella filled cookie, and fruit cookies. The most aesthetically pleasing and tasty items in my opinion were the cupcake cookies. When I first looked at them I thought they were just cookies but they are actually made up of two cookies with cream sandwiches between them and icing on top. I tried 4 different flavors, hazelnut, Reese's peanut butter, salted caramel, and pb&j. All had wonderful flavors and textures to them. The cookies were perfectly soft yet crunchy and the icing was delicious. My favorite flavor by far was the pb&j because the jelly was so sweet and the peanut butter icing wasn't too overwhelming. The Oreo cheesecake cookie was another great and unique item. I loved the softness of the cheesecake base and the crunchiness of the Oreos on top. Highly recommend for any cheesecake lover. The raspberry cookie was also great, with nice crunch toppings and a sweet and fresh fruit filling. My least favorite item was surprising one of the more traditional cookie items, the Nutella cookie. I thought the cookie itself was quite hard and there wasn't much Nutella filling. I'd definitely recommend the cookie cupcakes and cheesecake cookie as well! read more

I picked up some of The Twisted Cookie's wares at the Vintage Garage flea market in Chicago. In a word, yum! There were lots of unusual options but I went with the Caramel Pretzel Cookie Bark and then for something a little more standard, the sea salt chocolate chip cookies. I'm not a huge caramel person, but the caramel pretzel cookie bark was the winner for me! Sweet caramel and chocolate and salty bites of pretzel on the base of a butter cookie all blended into the ideal cookie. The sea salt added an interesting taste to the chocolate chip cookies, but the texture of these guys was a little weak: they bent disconcertingly. I want my cookies to either have a crumb or be crispy, not flop. Still, with creations such as stuffed brownies, cookie pies and handmade marshmallows, I would try other offerings from the Twisted Cookie! read more

So after I finished, I decided to take a look at this cookie place and discovered they had shakes and malts - chocolate malt specifically, which I was in the mood for having. So I ordered that along with a chocolate chip cookie and an apple pie cookie to take home. WOW... the chocolate malt has got to be one of the three best I've had in my lifetime and I can't even tell you where I had the other two. I was a first time customer today. I drove 28 miles to visit a friend in Forest Park. I stopped by Twisted Cookie after hearing my friends talk about how much they loved their pastries, cookies etc. I selected a small assortment of large pie cookies and a brownie. I asked if I could have them in a small box, as I was taking them to someone. The girl working there told me no, I could only have a bag. I saw small white boxes behind the counter, approximately 6"x6", so these large pastries certainly would've been the appropriate size for the box. She stacked the pastries, side by side, in a white bag. I am not sure why she couldn't put them in a box, since they were going to be a small hospitality gift. Instead I bring a crumpled bag to my friends home.
