I went here for the first time for my friend's birthday party! It was so much fun! We had a blast with all of the costumes, wigs, accessories, etc! The owner, Bel, is amazing and very patient with any questions or guidance with technique, etc. She is petite, but don't let her size fool you. She's a firecracker and a strong and excellent dancer/teacher! If I lived closer, I'd become a regular for sure. Twirly Girls studio is nicely decorated and she even let us bring food and drinks (in a designated area) to celebrate our friend's birthday! I take class here on the regular from Bel and not only is she talented but she's also very nice. I cut my hand and was unable to attend classes and after I notified her she was super nice about it all and basically put a "hold" on my account so I didn't throw away the money that I had paid. You definitely learn a lot too, it isn't just a frilly class where you circle a pole a few times and learn to walk sexy. Wearing shorts is definitely helpful and be sure to skip the lotion because a slippery pole is a dangerous one! :) I love this studio and everyone that I've met has been really kind and totally accepting. None of the catty highschool stuff that you can definitely run into as an adult. There is no "type" of girl that suits Twirly Girls because it's a great place for all women of all ages, shapes and sizes. No one is there to judge and it's always a fun environment. It's much easier to learn pole dancing when you're comfortable with the group. The other girls are really nice and friendly and it's definitely a second family. Bel cares about her girls and they care about her. She also offers plenty of workshops on weekends and is very flexible with her scheduling which is always a plus. read more

The character of this studio is a reflection of the owner Bel Jeremiah, who is a certified personal trainer, genius pole fitness instructor and dancer, and the most warm hearted woman I have ever met. I am an instructor here and mostly teach the more advance level classes, but I can tell you that every time one of Bel's student moves on to my classes I am always impressed with how beautiful their technique and form on the pole is and relieved that I never have to retrain anyone due to bad habits. I started with Bel over at my Gym and followed her to the studio. For the past six months I look forward to the time I spend at the studio and with Bel. I have always get my own pole and the majority of the time I get the skinny pole as I have small hands. From the beginning Bel was patient with me, and modifies moves and routines to fit my strength level as well as catering to my disabilities. Bel is passionate and very caring about her students. The atmosphere is very supportive, and the girls are a blast. As to free dance, I have declined plenty of times and Bel is understanding of that too. A friend of mine had her birthday bash at Bel's studio and when Bel heard that there may not be cake she bought one!!!!! Bel attended to everyone at the party and even spent one on one time with each girl to learn new moves. It also allowed for everyone coming from different locations in the bay area to meet at a central location. The best thing ever is if you have your party here, you are in downtown pleasanton, next to great restaurants and bars. Not to menti0on that the studio is located in Euphoria nail salon. The salon gives discounts to services for those participating at Twirly Girls. The best venue for a bachelors party, start with a day at the salon, then head to a restaurant( there is a great sushi place 4 feet away), go to twirly fitness where you can have cake and bubbly and then head over to the bars. I have a friend who has been with Twirly Girls for about a month now and is already noticing a difference in her body, so I had to join! I thought what a great way to get in shape while learning some new moves. I went to my first class and Bel was the instructor. She is awesome! Not only is she sure to make you feel secure and confident about your self she has soo much patience and understanding that you aren't afraid to try anything in front of her. I took my first taster class here at age 52. Here we are 3.5 years later. Twirly Girls studio, Bel, the owner, the amazing instructors, fellow students,have all become a huge part of my life. Like many other students here, we become part of the TG family. Twirly Girls offers more than just pole dance classes. My favorite class right now is Dance Lab with AJ. This class is more about body movement and expressing yourself, and emotions through dance. No pole experience is required for this class. I also enjoy taking the Saturday morning workshops with Ellen. Each week she teaches a brand new combo, so anyone can jump in. If I had more time available, I would definitely be taking other classes....Grace is an outstanding instructor and teaches Graceful Moves, Mama Bel with her Triple T's class is the class I so desperately miss since my work schedule changed. Bel is a true professional in her teaching....safety first, and her style of teaching is catered specifically to each individual. I'm a fitness junkie, and have had pole classes on my "bucket list" for a while so when I found Twirly Girls and saw their classes online I knew I had to try it. I started out with the Taster and actually was lucky enough to have Bel all to myself that day so got 1 on 1 personal training! How lucky was I and was so grateful that no one else was there to witness my attempt at muscling every move. Bel is an amazing, graceful, gracious and patient master at teaching and I so enjoyed learning the basics from her. She gave me enough confidence to try the next level and I was again fortunate to learn from another great instructor, Marilyn. A few more gals were in this class, we were all at varying levels of pole fitness but Marilyn was able to accommodate all of our learning styles. My most recent class was the Twirly Tuff Girls fitness which I love love love being the fitness geek I am. It is a combination of bootcamp meets the pole, a lot of climbing, and core work on and off the pole using various pieces of equipment. These ladies know their fitness adn I would highly recommend them to anyone. In fact I think I'll bring a group of ladies to a pole party soon - can't wait. read more

I have never done pole or dancing before. I tried it out with Bell who is the owner of Twirly Girls and used to be a trainer. She is an amazing instructor. Within one hour, she taught us not only the basic, she immediately incorporated dancing into the routine. I practiced at home and in a week, I was so proud that I could practically dance like a pole dancer. It is not only a fitness combining gymnastics with dancing, it is liberating. You feel sexy, confident and fit!! I think every woman should try this sport. You are going to fall in love with it, yourself and your hubby is going to admire your agility, strength, gracefulness, sexiness and everything. I am into sports and I never thought any sports can be more fun than tennis, but had I picked up pole sooner, I would have wanted to be a pole dancer!! but it's never too late to enjoy yourself!! I can't say enough about the benefits of "vertical fitness" (aka pole fitness). Regardless of what people think, it's not pole dancing, as it takes strength, grace, and stamina to conquer all the twirls, inverts, and "sexy" moves that Bel throws at you. She is a formidable instructor with much patience and skills, and a personality to boot. This place was absolutely amazing! We did a private party for a birthday celebration and had 10 girls attend. Grace was our instructor for the night and she was so inviting and so encouraging! This was the first time for most of us so we didn't really know what to expect. I had been in contact over the weeks with Grace setting everything up and she made my life so easy since planning for a bigger group is always a little tricky! When we arrived we were able to set up our refreshments and light snacks and then we began the class! Grace was really thorough in her explanations and made it so fun! We also had the chance to play with some props and then come out and practice our new routine! The environment was so warm and welcoming and we all felt so comfortable! I can't recommend this place enough. To say that it is one of the best experiences of my life, would be an understatement. Just look at the photos...this place oozes with FUN! Beyond that, the owner, Bel, is always kind, welcoming, ethical and professional. A.J. is my current instructor and has been for almost 2 years. A.J. is awesome and my only wish is that I had time to take more of his classes. I've taken classes from most of the instructors here and they are all excellent. Don't be fooled by bargain studios. My experience with the pole dance began as soon as they opened the gym in my hometown of Rome at the "VERTICAL DOLLS STUDIO". In Italy this is a discipline not yet as widespread as in the Fitness America There is another center in Milan in northern Italy. Costs vary depending on how many times a week you go. The course in single lessons is 60 euros for 1 hour and 1/4. For two people the cost is divided in half. Workshops for the cost depends on the pole dancer. The poles are 8 in total and are booked. At Vertical Studio Dolls are working our greatest international pole dancers : Valeria Parsi, Sara Brilli, Tamara Tassi. I love this sport because I makes me feel free to express myself. I go to school in Atlanta, but I've been coming here as much as I can during breaks. Although I began my pole journey here, Bel made it as un-intimidating and friendly as humanly possible. I've worked in so many dance studios and companies, and none of them come close to the level of family Bel manages to create even with a bunch of strangers. Everyone is so supportive, and even though the business is very professional, it still feels like a cozy home where it's safe enough to open up and try new things. She works with each student's strengths and teaches in a way that emphasizes safety. I feel like I've improved a lot in the few classes I managed to come to, and despite the bruises, I've become pretty addicted to pole. It can be artistic, sexy, acrobatic, expressive... whatever you want! The only downside to this place is that they don't have a studio in Atlanta that I can go to year-round, but that's not their fault :P Love pole and I love Twirly Girls! read more
