Bought a Groupon for a pole dancing series of classes, I'd always been curious and thought I might as well since it was such a deal. I wasn't sure what to expect, but went with a few girl friends and had a blast! After four classes, I was able to do a few different twirls, "floor work", free spin and climb the pole. It was a killer work out, especially in the calves and quads. Bel definitely made the experience, she was adorable, hilarious, and made all of us feel comfortable and at ease. The ambiance was great - very girly and fun. The darker lighting helped make you feel sexier and more confident. I'd read some Yelp reviews online before my first class and was more or less HORRIFIED to hear that you have to do a routine in front of the class at your last session. But ended up loving the "free dance" portions when we performed for our classmates. It was awesome to see how women of all ages and body types who are just normal girls like anyone else look so good and confident dancing. Also so much fun to see everyone's personal style and moves come through :) The series classes are a bit steep without any discounts, so I don't think I'll make a regular habit of going, but they do offer tons of workshops and one day classes which I will go to in the future - and for a birthday or bachelorette party, or even just something to do with your girl friends it would definitely make for some great memories. Private event pricing is VERY affordable as well, I just booked it for my upcoming bachelorette party! read more

OMG, Belle is a life saver! I wanted to throw a friend a surprise b'day party and other local pole classes were either unprofessional or booked. I had all these ideas in store and she accommodated all of them. The party was a HIT and we all had a blast!!!! She even bought.a book of mine. I highly recommend Twirly Girls for some fun with friends. She even let us plug in our own iPods. Belle is a bell!!!!! read more

I took their beginning pole class with a friend and the instructor, Bel, was very professional, inclusive and encouraging. She had great insights on injury prevention and safety. It was a great balance of learning technique, basic building blocks, and self-expression. And she individualized the class to meet the goals of the students too. I tried to take a Lyra class later and unfortunately the instructor had to cancel. Bel kept in contact with me to try and find a substitute but unfortunately I was leaving town soon and none of the subs could do the time that worked for me and my friend. Bel sent me a personable "thank you" card in the mail and a check to reimburse me for the class. I highly recommend this studio. read more

I had my daughter's 19th Birthday Party at Twirly Girls. We had a blast!!! All our guests had an extremely great time and told us that this was the Best Birthday party that they had ever had! Our instructor was Grace. At the end of the party, Grace performed for us girls, and we were in absolute awe, her performance was breathtakingly beautiful! Her technique was very precise, with very clean lines, it was a magnificent performance! We are very, very, very, very thankful to Grace and to Twirly Girls for the fantastic experience of a lifetime! XOXOXO read more

I've pole poleing for about 5 years and have been going to twirly girls for a year now. It has become my home away from home. Everyone is so sweet and supportive. The instructors are well trained and always put safety first. I love Morgan's classes most of all for advanced tricks. She is excellent at accommodating all levels of polers so dont be afraid to try her Sunday morning class. :) read more

Bel, Patrick, Jennifer, and Danielle are amazing dancers and people. I've had to privilege of attending pole, lyra hoops, and aerial silks workshops here. I would highly recommend this place to people of all skill levels. The studio is beautiful and the $250 packaged deal is worth your money read more

Love, love, love Twirly Girls Pole Fitness Studio! I have tried many studios and some much closer to me, but I continue to go back to Twirly Girls. It's a 2 1/2 drive for me, but so worth it. Bel and all of the girls there are so friendly and make me feel at home. They have a variety of classes to offer and hold various events that are so much fun and have purpose. I highly recommend this studio if you are looking for something different for fitness, fun, and feeling good about yourself. read more

I had my friends bachelorette party with Belle and it was amazing. She had so many fun ideas and all the clothes / wigs / shoes a girl could ever want to play with. I will tell you just the fun gig was a work out!!! That girl is in shape, and certainly knows what she is doing. This was a year ago in the back of Euphoria, I noticed recently that they were closed so I am not sure where she is working now. Would definitely do again! read more

The owner Bel has been very helpful with me for some questions and rescheduling on the back-end. She didn't try to upsell me into a private lesson when I initially thought that was what I needed; she instead advised I try a group class first before committing to a higher price. I appreciated that. And the group class was great! Jade is an awesome teacher, VERY thorough and helpful (unlike many other pole teachers), and the class has a GREAT COMMUNITY VIBE, very positive and supportive!!!! Love Twirly Girls!! read more

Twirly Girls has changed my view on fitness. After just two months i feel better, muscles are starting to show. I am enjoying fitness for the first time in my life. Words can not express how awesome Bel is. My life is forever transformed for the better. read more

I've been at Twirly girls for almost two years now. I've had a positive encouraging experience with every instructor there! I started in Bel's beginner class and now don't have enough good things to say about doing tricks with Morgan. I've enjoyed both the social and fitness aspects of the studio and feel like there's something for everyone there. Even if Pole isn't your thing the Lyra and Silks are incredible to watch. I would recommend Twirly Girls to people of all types! read more

i've only been to the gym once in my life and it was only to try the zumba class.. i've been looking for a good way to workout that doesn't bore me to death.. i've been wanting to try pole classes for years and have a few friends that have taken a bunch of classes and really good (competition/show status)..so i was glad i found a good deal.. i told my friend i bought it and was going to start my classes soon and my friend was a bit apprehensive of me taking classes.. over-protectiveness? or fear it'll make me want to find a club to strip!? anyway, i bought a groupon deal for a month long session.. out of all the groupon like deals at other pole places this was the best bc it offered 4 sessions (level 1) for $100 while others just offer 1 beg taster session.. bel (owner) was my teacher and was really great. the first session you learn a few spins, transitions, and practice how to pull yourself up on the pole. second session, i was proud of myself for having enough arm strength to climb to the top of the pole and stay there a bit! i learned a good amount of beg moves to put together a freestyle routine at the end of ea session.. after each class i was so excited to practice, however, i didn't have a pole to practice on! =( by the end of the month i was sad that my session was over and wanted to continue onto the next level.. i wouldn't mind coming back and continuing lessons.. i'm just shopping around for the best monthly deal.. all pole places i've looked at are 120+/month! read more

I absolutely loved the class. I'm definitely taking another when I get a chance. I've caught the bug.

Bel is the first person that I ever heard of doing Pole fitness... she knew this was going to be a big hit!! Ask anyone in her 15 mile radius because SHE taught them!!! She has trained under the most famous pole dancing trainers from around the world!! This is the most fun and unique form of dance where fitness is the result!! I have been doing it on and off for a couple of years and I absolutely love it. I have strengthened my upper body and legs in areas I didn't know existed. I am a lot more graceful and much more in tune with my feminine side. We have routines to music and as the exercises become more difficult, you in turn look and FEEL like a pro!!! The classes are very comfortable and the windows are covered so it is very private. It is in Club Sport but you do NOT need to be a member. She is the MOST affordable as I have done the research and other classes. I have found hers to be the MOST fun!!! I have also taken a private class where she went to my friend's house for a Bachelorette party!! SOOOO fun!!! We were sippin champagne and twirling on her portable pole!! I never thought working out could make me feel sexy!!! read more

Twirly Studios - Bel showing off!!! - Dance Studios Near Me - Pleasanton, California

See all

Went to my first class earlier this week. Just moved to the area so was looking for a pole dance studio. Was happy to hear that the studio offers both 45 and 50 mm poles. Also they can go from static to spinning which is great. This was one of the studios that do offer morning classes which seems hard to find. Instructor was knowledgeable and great at spotting so I felt safe doing new tricks. Classes are an 1 hour and 15 mins. FINALLY....!!! So hard to find a class that's a decent length long. This allows time for stretching, working on moves and time at the end for free style. Can't wait to come back for my second class. read more

I bought a Groupon deal and tried pole dancing for the first time here. The class was very fun and the teacher was friendly. I thought pole dancing would be very difficult but it turned out to be so easy for me. I fortunately scheduled the right class time which consisted of not many students so each person got their own pole to practice. I definitely will try more advanced pole dancing classes. It's a great exercise. read more

I went here awhile ago but just joined Yelp and wanted to post a review. These girls are so nice here. Funny story, when I was getting taught a move I farted really loosely and loud but the girls made me feel fine about it. Must of been my left over pizza I had for breaky. Anyways, tmi ugh..... read more

I came here with my coworkers since my manager received a free class session and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! As a first timer I can say I was pretty nervous but our instructor, sorry I completely forgot to get her name, was accommodating, knowledgeable, and super fun. I'd definitely recommend trying this place out if you're not only interested in pole fitness but also if you want to find a place that gets you to loosen up a bit and get out of your comfort zone! read more

I had the most fun here than I have in a long time! I got a lunchtime session with a girlfriend as a birthday present, and had a blast! The instructor is amazing, and she makes it so much fun; not to mention it gives you an amazing workout. I had sore arms and legs for 3 days! :) Thanks so much! read more

Since my first it took me a very long time to come back =[ BUT I'M GLAD I DID! Over the summer i began to take the classes more frequently and I've learned alot! I even ended up buying myself a Xpole to practice at home with when I can't make it to class. As of right now i've taken another break from class. I ended up losing my job, so my funds are a lot tighter than they were. I'll be back as soon as I have funds saved up again though! read more

It was really fun and for me who is a totally not a fit person, you do get a lot of strength training out of it. You do get covered in bruises. My arms and legs are sore. My only complaint is that it's too expensive. read more

Just moved to walnut creek. I was getting cabin fever. My husband found this studio for me as I am a retired stripper.. The owner Bel was so amazing from the time we spoke on the phone all thru the class and even after the class she stayed and talked to me and the other class members a bit, gave me some extra pole time and conversation time. It was only 25 bucks and you get an hour but longer if she gets to talking ;) thank you Bel for a great class and studio. She's even nice enough to let me bring my 7 year old cause I don't know anyone to babysit. There is a gym with hoops and Olympic rings and a couch my kid can quietly play on For if I have a class and my daughter is not in school. how nice is that. That means so much to me. And a great clean studio. I'm staying. read more

This place has a very cool ambience. Belle is a good instructor and I appreciate how the class sizes are limited and you really get quality instruction to avoid injury. I went to Twirly Girl to try pole dance for the first time a little over a year ago. My first class I felt like a hippo in a tutu and could not even hold my body up on the pole at all. This was a wake up call that I needed to make some changes. I went to classes for a few months, then moved out of area. I started pole with a BMI of 32, and am now a BMI of 23. My only complaint is the price. It seems steep, but hey, its Pleasanton and everything is expensive. Where I go now classes are ~ $8 a session, compared to to $30. read more

I just moved to the Bay Area and was missing my last pole studio. Twirly Girls was recommended by my last studio. I've taken 2 classes with AJ and love it! The atmosphere reminds me of my old place-everyone is super friendly, no caddy ness from anyone, and everyone is super supportive of each other. I love that. (I had tried a place in Berkeley and just didn't get that from them.) They also have a boot camp and they'll be adding silks (which I cannot wait to try! Been able to do some strength training on them but that's it so far). I haven't been able to meet the owner Bel yet but I did get to talk to her on the phone for a bit and she sounds so nice! Love the fun workout! Maybe they'll open a studio closer to me some day but I'm still willing to drive the 40 min to them!!!! Thanks to everyone at Twirly Girls! read more

My girlfriends planned my bachelorette at Twirly Girls. It was a BLAST. I was nervous to say the least, but Bel was so warm and welcoming all the nerves quickly went away. Bel broke down a cute pole/floor routine into pieces that were easy to learn and fun to do. While I know the soreness in my arms and legs from the workout will fade, our memories of this amazing evening for sure will not! I HIGHLY recommend TGPF and cant wait to go back for a class once I'm home from my honeymoon! read more

I LOVED taking class at Twirly Girls! I've been pole dancing for a couple of years now, but it is always such a wonderful feeling when you walk into a new studio and feel totally welcomed. You can tell what a close knit, supportive group of dancers are at this studio when you walk in, not only from the countless pictures of all of them that cover the walls, but more importantly, the way everyone in the classes I took was encouraging eachother. I had so much fun and will definitely be back! read more

I've been taking the beginner class with Bel and she is amazing! I love how she has routines to learn which can challenge you. If I can't do a spin she's teaching to others who've been in the class longer, she will modify for me! She is adorable and fun, keeps us wanting more... This place is fantastic for everything! Fun, exploration and a definite workout! read more

Bel is friendly, professional, and fun. The work out is fun, and helps you get a great body because it's a full body workout. It's athletic and sexy at the same time. I love Bel and I love taking her pole fitness classes. She is so generous with her time and knowledge. She teaches in a manner and environment that is comfortable. She adapts the routines and the work out to fit individual needs. I can't say enough good things about Twirly Girls pole fitness. I feel strong, skilled (not to mention sexy), and I've dropped 2 dress sizes since I started in January!!!! Thank you Bel! read more

I just started taking classes with Bel and I am truly happy to have found a studio and teacher like her. I have tried other places closer to home but nothing quite measures up to Bel and her studio. She really takes the time to teach and be sure you understand the moves. When things are tough for you she helps you modify them. I often get frustrated when moves don't come easy to me but with Bel guiding me I have no frustrations. She creates a fun atmosphere and you find yourself leaving not only with new skills but new friends. read more

I have been coming here for over 2 years now. I first got introduced to pole fitness by attending a bachelorette party here! I loved the challenge and the atmosphere. Shortly after I started in beginner classes with the owner Bel. After graduating from the beginner level I started attending Morgan's classes and she was able to take me to a whole other level. I was able to progress with my tricks and I am continually challenged each class, which I love! I have been taking Morgan's classes for about a year now and I have found that I have progressed so much with my tricks and my strength this past year. I not only enjoy the classes and the challenge but also being able to make new friends is amazing! I would recommend all women to try pole fitness at least once in their lives, who knows you might become as hooked as I am! read more

Ive been to twirly pole a couple times and I love it! The only reason I dont go now is money but if I could afford it id be there every month. Its a fun workout not awkward at all. Its not an easy workout and you will bruise! :D read more

I have been taking pole with Bel at my health club since January, and have since followed her to her new studio, Twirly Girls, which is dedicated to pole. I originally planned to take it for a couple of months to surprise my husband with a special dance for our anniversary--now I am hooked and I go once or twice a week. In addition to being an AWESOME instructor who teaches fun classes that build real skills, Bel has created a great environment for girl bonding and making new friends. Her classes and workshops have also been a great way for me to reconnect with my longtime girlfriends, who like to take the occasional class with me and join me for Diva Parties I have thrown. It has also been a great way to get in shape. I wear my Heart Rate Monitor to class and typically burn over 500 calories an hour! read more

I had been thinking about taking a pole class for a while and I'm so happy I decided to do it. My friend and I came and ended up having a blast! Our instructor Bell was fun and outgoing. I went here for the first time for my friend's birthday party! It was so much fun! We had a blast with all of the costumes, wigs, accessories, etc! The owner, Bel, is amazing and very patient with any questions or guidance with technique, etc. She is petite, but don't let her size fool you. She's a firecracker and a strong and excellent dancer/teacher! If I lived closer, I'd become a regular for sure. Twirly Girls studio is nicely decorated and she even let us bring food and drinks (in a designated area) to celebrate our friend's birthday! What's more fun than pole dancing and champagne and cupcakes? I sure as heck don't know! read more
