Another great thing about Alice is that she's not afraid to tell you when a move looks different than you may have intended and is flexible on changing up the routine to better suit you. This is important in an instructor! We miss our lessons and after such a fantastic experience, we're planning to find some local dancing spots.

So now there's this Zumba craze and I've tried it out a few times and honestly I've been kind of ho hum about it. But for some reason when Amy teaches Zumba it's incredibly fun. I took her morning class at the Danville Grange and was expecting it to be a mellow class with some cute moves. I spent an hour jumping, grinding, gyrating, and dropping it to the floor to the sounds of Daft Punk and Trey Songz. It is an intense workout but you will love it. Everything on your body will hurt afterwards. Particularly your thighs, your bootie, and your arms. But hey that's why you're taking Zumba right? To make everything tight and cute? Well this will do it for ya. Amy is a great teacher and I will totally take her class again. She's got great positive energy, she shows the moves clearly to beginners like me, and her happiness is infectious. So do yourself a favor. Take her class. You'll be dead tired afterwards but you'll be happy.

Amy is a wonderful Zumba instructor. She is positive, energetic, listens to her students when they…read moregive her music requests, or if they need help learning some of her moves. She does a lot of her own choreography that works really well with the music she chooses, and it really does fit perfectly with the classic Zumba moves. She chooses a lot of different genres of music, including various latin types, reggaeton, hip hop, and basically whatever is trending or her students are looking to hear. She doesn't shy away from making us feel like we could star on Dirty Dancing or Honey ;) I have two toddlers, and as often as I can, I come to class and request a sitter, which Amy is great at accommodating for a low price. I even brought my 2.5 year-old the other day, and she had a ball dancing with me, instead of needing a sitter. It's a supportive and encouraging environment, and the class just keeps growing in that great big space! Most recently, Amy has been getting close to the end of a pregnancy, and she is still on fire as our instructor. We'll miss her when she's off for a bit, but can't wait until she gets back into it :)

Fast forward 7 years and now my other two daughters are enrolled as well. I have never seen someone do as much work as the owner Ashley. She is dedicated, and shows up for every dancer. We see the long hours, the care, and the patience. And we want her to know it never goes unnoticed. The teachers create a positive, welcoming environment where the girls feel supported and motivated. My daughters have not only improved on their techniques but have also built meaningful friendships and become much more confident. This studio goes above and beyond, and we're so grateful to be part of it.

I searched high and low for a true adult dance class in the San Ramon Tri-Valley area, and for the longest time, could only find classes that were full of teenagers...and me, a working mom of 2 kids. Unlike those classes, Debbie's is a true adult class that is designed to help adults grow technically and in their dance performance. Nothing against teenagers...they are welcomed to come. :) Anyway, if you've been thinking about dancing again (no matter how long it's been), come to Studio 8 and take a class from Debbie! You'll find a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can come as you are and dance your heart out!

This was her first production outside of middle school, and she absolutely loved everything about the experience -- the directors, the supportive and welcoming environment, the incredible energy of ICDT!, and the kindness of the other students and families. We had explored other production programs before, but none felt as organized, communicative, or thoughtfully run as ICDT!. On top of that, ICDT! was incredibly generous in providing our family with a tuition scholarship, which allowed my daughter to have this truly memorable experience. Thank god for this studio…read more I "retired" from dance and gymnastics about 5 years ago or so. I was always nervous to go back. Afraid I was too old. Afraid I wouldn't be good enough anymore. Afraid I wouldn't have time etc. etc. This place is so welcoming. It really has a family feel. A lot of the kids, adults and teachers have been there for years and they are more then open to allowing others join the fam : ) I feel good about myself because of the encouragement I have received from Nichole and Byron (tumbling and jazz teachers) They are fun and make coming after a long day of work exciting for me. It's nice to feel that I have nothing to be afraid of anymore, a lot in due part to the environment, schedule and variety of classes offered.
