Twins BBQ and maybe their ghost kitchen BBQ Ribs Co? (Same address).
Samantha V.

I ordered on DoorDash from BBQ Ribs Co however when I looked at the same address on Google it came up as Twins BBQ. So Im thinking BBQ ribs maybe their ghost kitchen? This was an affordable meal for BBQ. My husband got the brisket chilli which was excellent! Im not a fan of beans but the way this chilli was seasoned it tasted good. He was not that hungry so he opted for three ribs which was moist and flavorful. My meal was smoked brisket which I could have a variety of ways (rice, nachos, roll etc) I chose rice and there was a variety of toppings options. I chose pickles and cheese sauce. I did not receive cheese sauce it was just shredded cheese thrown in and not melted. Granted we literally ordered at the last possible minute so I understand they may have been ready to end their work day I dont always like potato salad everywhere but this was a good one. Next time will catch Twins BBQ / BBQ Rib Co earlier.

Brisket over rice with sour cream (?), pickled jalapeños and a sweet & savory bbq sauce.

As a novice bbq guy I expected much better although it wasn't "bad", just not great. I'm used to getting my bbq from places that run out due to items being made fresh daily, especially for the price. The brisket was supposed to be served over rice with jalapeños and coleslaw but they forgot to put the coleslaw on. The brisket was clearly either re-heated or overdone (a lot firmer than it should be & some chunks were cold) although the flavor was good. I grabbed a side of fries as well. The fries were fresh and crispy, cooked to perfection, even better with some Carolina Vintech vinegar sauce drizzled on top. I'll be back for a second try but won't be rushing.

Brisket Chili

When your friend brings you chili in this cold weather you call it perfect timing! This chili is one of the best ones I have ever tasted. This family business for BBQ dishes does not get the credit they really deserve. Supporting small businesses in your area makes a huge difference. The chili was full of flavor with actually pieces of brisket chunks that melt in your mouth. Made with real diced tomatoes and navy beans, some spicy taste, just makes that explosion in your mouth. Delicious! A must try when in Brookfield.

So yucky

Went to housatonic brewing to have drewbq but they were a no show and tried this one. So yucky! Got the "super nachos" no beans and it really was just stale tostitos with movie theatre cheese and some dry pork with no sauce or anything and the "super nachos" had nothing else on them. Not super at all and it was cold!!

Lightning strikes maybe once maybe twice Oh and it lights up…read morethe night And you see you're a gypsy You see you're a gypsy (Gypsy - by Fleetwood Mac) As we walked into today's "Made in CT Expo" at the Durham Fairgrounds, the first thing we did was check out the food trucks because we were starving. I made a beeline for Aurora's Gypsy Café, because I wanted something different and this truck was about as different as could be. Check out the "Psychedelic meets Flea Market" look of their truck. Check out the sweet gypsy costume worn by their very sweet proprietor. And check out their menu for some very, very different types of cuisine. Their website describes their food as "homemade eclectic gypsy food... from North Africa and the Middle East to Eastern Europe and the Native American heritage, we offer dishes inspired by the flavors found on the Spice Road centuries past." So what is gypsy food? Think locally grown exotic meats like Elk, Venison, Wild Boar, Icelandic Lamb, Goat, Galloway and Wagyu Beef, Duck, Quail, and Rabbit. Think lots of locally grown vegetables and beans. I ordered a bowl of Gypsy Stew - a delicious and exotic blend of pork, beef, chorizo, cabbage and three kinds of beans served over wild rice. It was $6 of exotic bliss, made even the more blissful with some of the Gypsy Woman's homemade hot sauce. I loved every exotic morsel... On a side note, the only reason we even heard of the Made in CT Expo was because of Yelp. So it was fitting that as we strolled the grounds, we said hello to four fellow Yelpers that were also there. Ah.... the Power of Yelp..

You can get pretty much everything on rice or a salad. We got the elk burger on a bun. Delicious and full of flavor. We also had the duck and plum on a salad. Again delicious. We wanted to try the whole menu! The staff was friendly, helpful and answered our many questions. Come to Hartford!

The crew and I heard about a new barbecue spot all the way out in Danbury, CT so we packed up the…read morewhip and shot out there! Here's how it went at Farmboys Smokin' BBQ! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right on South Street with its own private parking lot is this gem. What looks like a seemingly medium-sized house on the side of the street is this unique spot. Out back there are several smokers that are fed with wood on a regular basis. Once inside you'll see the rustic concept. Lots of wood everywhere and a pretty open concept. Directly in front of you is the circular bar and off to the left is the main dining room. The lighting is warm and inviting as well. Service: The whole staff really took care of us since we were a pretty big party. We had no issues whatsoever. Food: So I got to try A LOT of things here. I started off with the Just Peachy which is Crowne Royal Peach served with a whiskey-soaked peach and some sweet tea. It was deliciously well-balanced and simple with only 3 major ingredients. Next up was the Homestyle Honey Cornbread. This was very good, soft and simple, I do wish the butter was warmer though so that it was easier to spread. Next up was the Honey Sriracha Glazed Pork Belly. It was so soft, so tender, savory and flavorful. I loved the bit of char from the "skin" and the sweet/spiciness was a great addition. Next up was the Smokey Mac & Cheese that comes served in a super hot skillet and it was SUPER CHEESY, yet very thick as well. This was so delicious, peppery, a bit sharp, but I really enjoyed it. Next up were the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings which are an excellent menu choice for those that don't eat meat. They're served over a blue cheese coleslaw and this was an awesome idea! I was very impressed because coleslaw is usually made with mayonnaise, using bleu cheese was brilliant. The "wings" themselves were crispy and flavorful. Next up was the Farmboys Old Fashioned which is a twist on the original classic. In it is Basil Hayden Toast Premium Bourbon and other secret ingredients. This was delicious as well and was just a hint too sweet to me. Next up were the Super Sloppy Nachos. These are a concoction of melted cheddar, homemade cheese sauce, baked beans, ranch, BBQ sauce, scallions, jalapenos and pulled pork. You can get chicken instead if you wish. These were delicious and very straightfroward, but pretty heavy. I actually really liked the fresh jalapenos that provided a bit of a crunch along with the chips. Very good. Next up were the Brussels Sprouts which are served with crispy pork belly and hot honey sauce. I mean, I guess these aren't healthy as they once were anymore. Lol. These were straight though. I liked how they were cooked and the other flavors involved drowned out the actual Brussels flavor. Second to last was the beef brisket. It was amazing and was so incredibly tender. Just simply amazing. I don't have anything else to say. Lastly, the smoked wings. These were super tender and they still had a crispy skin! The smokey flavor was excellent and there were hints of Cajun, maybe creole in it as well. I loved these so much. Value: Barbecue is usually on a bit of the pricey side, but that's just the way it goes. The food usually takes a lot longer and time is money. That's about it. This place wasn't crazy though and the portions are big so you definitely get your money's worth. In conclusion, I really, really liked this place and just wish it were closer to me so that I could visit more often. However, if you're on that side of the state or not, make your way there to check them out!

Farmboys, Farmboys, Farmboys... I know it's super cold…read moreoutside and business is probably slow, but yesterday's experience unfortunately was not a good one. My wife and son were super excited to try barbecue at this famous local spot, but we definitely caught them on an off night. Reviews are mostly good for this place, so I guess timing and circumstances are at play. My wife ordered the peach cocktail and they were out. I ordered the RIBS, they were out !!! They didn't have the sausage for the combination platter and came out a couple of minutes later saying they had it (most likely just seared because the smoke was not there when we were eating). They were out of Brussel sprouts. They were out of MUSTARD !! I ordered a house pilsner they were out and I ordered another beer. Need i say more? On a good note they can barbecue. The brisket was very good. Great smoke ring and true winner. The pulled pork and chicken both had good smoke. Chicken was a bit on the dry side, but it was still good. Baked beans were good. My wife absolutely loved the cole slaw. Waitress was very good. Polite, apologetic and serviced us very well. We addressed our disappointment and hopefully by summer this famous BBQ spot can get back on track.
