This was the 3rd night in a row being out to dinner in the Quad Cities area for our group of 30. I will admit that a big top is hard to handle but our server - yes only one - was absolutely on top of it. She was amazing, the food was great and came out unbelievably fast. Pleasantly surprised with this new joint! Tried their 80 North IPA which is pretty good. Fish tacos were excellent! Loved the boom boom sauce and avocado with slaw. Literally my favorite combo on a taco. I usually prefer flour tortillas but I didn't even mind that they were on corn. Husband enjoyed his wings. Said buffalo sauce was really good. Ranch was thick and creamy = good in his book. Can't wait to come back when we can dine on-site! read more

I asked what they had that had heat and boy they didn't disappoint! The Jalapeno Burger was fire! Was definitely a win with us! They were busy but the waiter was very on point. I'm eating the Cobb salad. Although it's half the size it used to be, It's my favorite . It's built on a wedge of iceberg and cutting it into edible bites can be messy. I asked my server for it to be cut in the kitchen so I don't make a mess so the table. This isn't the first time I've made that request. The server said she wasn't sure they could be done. When she brought it, she said the chef wasn't able to cut it because presentation matters. The manager stopped by and asked me how things were. Then she sent the chef by. We came to the understanding that presentation is more important to him than customer satisfaction and that, "while it would be nice if you could have everything you want, but that's not possible" and that customer satisfaction is less important to him than his reputation. Love their vegetarian options. The Beyond burger, beyond tacos, and shishito pepper appetizers are my favorites. Haven't asked to confirm, but I believe you could make these vegan by ordering no cheese or sauce. I love to dine in and do carry-out with these items. Beer and drink selection is not my favorite, hence downgrade of one star. Wish they had a full bar in addition to their brews. read more

Very average. Ordered the Backyard Burger as I was excited to try the brisket. They were out of brisket. Ok no big deal! Decided on the Big Blue, Twin Spans take on the bleu cheese burger. Bun was nice, the "well done" char on the bread was fine for me but might not be for everyone. Great bleu cheese. Average patty, a bit greasy. No toppings provided which was weird but I will say it does say that on the menu description. Just used to getting lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, etc w a burger. I could have asked of course. Fries were cold. Service was again average for a busy Saturday night. Nothing much special here. Too bad. read more

My boyfriend and I were passing through the quad cities, and we were so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The beer was pretty good, but the food was excellent. I had the fish and chips, and the mahi mahi was expertly cooked with a batter that was a perfectly light yet crunchy. It was also so flavorful! My boyfriend got the Whole Hog burger, and really enjoyed the pretzel bun and how the burger was cooked. We were there midday on a weekday, so the atmosphere wasn't anything to write home about, but we had really good service throughout our meal. Overall, I highly recommend! read more

The hostess and our waitress were both so kind and helpful. I ordered the nashville hot chicken sandwich with fries and it was not very spicy but so yummy. I also got their rotating cider which was apple pie! All together this was about $19 before a tip which is a steal! Nice location. Nice layout. But, they could do without leaving their garage doors open, as they have an outdoor patio, because it lets the flies in. We came in, sat indoors, and ordered our drinks and were immediately covered in 5-10 flies. When our appetizer came out it too had flies on and off it. We made the decision to head outside for the remainder of our time there. Staff was aware of the fly issue, however, didn't discount bill at all. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, MANAGEMENT, AND ORGANIZATION!!! I called weeks in advance to book a reservation for a large group. The person I spoke to said they don't normally take reservations but checked with a manager then said they could do it and said he wrote down my information and would be able to accommodate us at the requested date and time. I asked if he was sure because it was for a birthday and we needed to know for sure and he said yes. The day of the reservation we showed up a few minutes early and the staff had no idea about our reservation. We were brushed off to the side. I spoke to the manager and explained the situation and she said she would let me know how long it would be before they had a table for us. After waiting for awhile for an update with our large group waiting outside and plans after dinner to follow, I spoke to the GM, Juan. I have worked for years as a manager and this gentlemen was extremely rude and condescending. Instead of providing a solution he kept trying to argue with me, continuously interrupting me, and saying the same things over and over. Eventually he answered my question of how long the wait would be saying 40 minutes! This was absolutely unacceptable as we had called weeks in advance and were assured a table at 6 PM! Furthermore, we had reservations after dinner so this would not work. I was amazed at how Juan had no customer service skills and no empathy for a mistake HIS RESTAURANT made that inconvenienced a LARGE group of what would have been customers who will not ever be returning. Where do I begin with such a Lackluster and disappointing experience? It was a party of 6 on a Tuesday and right away we could tell there was only one server for the whole place. Not their fault, good help is hard to find. I ordered a flight and we started with the Ceviche and Tuna Poke bowl. The ceviche was pretty delish but the poke bowl literally tasted like nothing. There was no seasoning and it was bland and unremarkable. I was with my family and it was my idea to go there because of the special I had been seeing on FB which was the Birria Quesadilla with consume. I ordered that and the rest in my party ordered the Brisket sandwich, Tex Mex Fajitas, Tuna Salad, and BBQ Flatbread. It was all pretty awful, the brisket was a wad of meat doused in BBQ, there was nothing tender about it and tasted like tough rib ends. The flatbread was covered in some weird orange sauce and more awful bbq sauce. The tuna salad tasted like nothing except ranch dressing. The only thing worth noting is that the special was pretty alright and so was my daughters chicken strips and French fries. I ordered a flight and can say the beer wasn't great either. We won't be back. This restaurant is by the Bettplex so it's overpriced to begin with and it's not worth the $. read more

Our family are regulars at Twin Span. The best tacos and flatbreads, and the food is consistently great. Our daughters say they have the "best Mac n cheese ever!" The wait staff is fantastic, as well. We have always received great service even during busy hours (they always apologize but we always let them know we understand). Most importantly, they accommodate gluten allergies which is a must for us. This makes it so easy for our whole family to enjoy! My only complaint? Twin Span, please pretty please get some good seltzers!! read more

Do not go to this place......the service is terrible and the staff are not there for the customers. My wife and I stopped by for a beer on a Thursday afternoon. The place was not busy.....only a few tables occupied, but we opted to sit at the bar. After a relatively long wait the bartender finished washing glasses and came over. I told her we were "just about ready" as we were making selections from a new beer list. She rolled her eyes, walked away to chat with other employees, and then went to the kitchen. We waited another 8-10 minutes and decided to leave. We called the manager and we were told "he's busy." He did call us back and after we described the problem, he made numerous excuses about why we couldn't spend our money there. Terible Terible Terible service and management. read more

When I didn't like the substitute and asked for something different, a manager came to our table to scold me and tell me I should have asked for a sample. I would have gladly taken a sample but was never offered one. I suggest you train your staff to offer a sample instead of a substitute.
