Thank you Dr. McEldowney for a great first visit for Chalupa! We're new to the area and were on the hunt for a highly rated vet and came across Twin Peaks through a Yelp search. It was easy to schedule online and they were very communicative before the appointment about everything they needed. I appreciate how the staff walked us through every charge before giving us the bill. It was really clear what tests they were running and why. They were also just so sweet and friendly, it put me at ease knowing my baby was in good hands. Thank you!! read more

I would not recommend any longer...my female dog is suffering because she had valley fever and they took her off her medication well before she should've been off. Unfortunately it attacked her leg and all while I kept asking about maintaining her medication while they were chasing yeast infections and soft tissue injuries. Not sure why they would do that but I no longer trust them for any of my dogs care. They also gave her a shot in said leg and the shot bump Is still there after almost a year. Now my sweet girl may need to be put down or have a leg amputation. read more

This place did not tell us what was really wrong with our dog. We ended up taking our dog to an emergency veterinary service where they told us the truth regarding our dog. Twin Peaks, a couple of years ago was a good vet, but it has since become all about money, meaning charge the customer as much as possible and heck with the dog. I would never ever go to this vet again and I recommend that you steer away from this money hungry shoddy vet. BTW, I called this vet at 8:05am this morning and they never even gave me a call back. Yeah, they care about the welfare of animals, not! Please take the time to read the negative reviews because they are true. read more

I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. The doctors and staff are all very kind and gentle with my pets.

Caring, loving, knowledgeable staff. Our kitty has been a patient for 6 years. The attention & great advice given is terrific!

I do not enjoy writing bad reviews, particularly when it's a veterinarian whose personality I have liked and who I have taken my dog to since he was a puppy (about 6 years). However, the care my small terrier Finny received was so bad that I wrote a personal letter to the vet Dr. Scott Miller on October 23, 2025. I am only posting this review, over a month later, because he and his office Twin Peaks Veterinary Center could not even be bothered to respond. I asked for nothing in the letter. Everyone makes mistakes, particularly when trying to diagnose people or pets. There is no shame in offering a referral, and in fact, I asked for one early on in Finny's treatment, but Dr. Miller continued to assure me that another doctor would not be necessary. Finny presented with a cough and had been recently boarded in another state. He was (is) up to date on all vaccines. Despite 2 NEGATIVE Valley Fever tests, Dr. Miller treated Finny with fluconazole. He insisted the tests were not useful. I questioned why I was paying for them if that was the case, but I did not receive a satisfactory response. Dr. Miller then started throwing serious medication at a problem he admitted he did not understand. If these were benign meds, then it might not have been a problem. However, my little 14-pound sweetie was on 2 serious antibiotics and fluconazole. And then steroids, and Zyrtec. The office ran 3 separate x-rays on 3 separate occasions, but Dr. Miller couldn't seem to tell me if Finny had pneumonia. First Dr. Miller said Finny did have it, then he didn't, and finally that maybe he never had it at all. Blood work was repeated multiple times. The cocktail of drugs given to my dog caused him to vomit for 2 weeks, every time he moved. He was in pain and was treated elsewhere with meds for his esophagus, and other meds to prevent stomach damage. It goes without saying that his liver was trashed and he had to start on liver meds. Twin Peaks Vet also did not send the actual x-rays to the new vet office, just the radiology report. Who was the radiologist? My vet bill from Twin Peaks was a whopping $1,806.73. Was this necessary? Finnegan's pain was certainly more important than my pocketbook, but the needless tests were unfair and a heavy burden for me. As a practicing vet, it is Dr. Miller's responsibility to keep current with medical trends. He should have been aware of the "mystery respiratory dog illness" from 2023 (renamed aCIRDC). Finnegan had all the mild symptoms, including the fact that he had been boarded prior to the coughing; monitoring, not a cocktail of dangerous drugs, was likely called for. Dr. Miller's treatment made my little Finny worse. In all of this--my dog's suffering, the extremely high bills, the nights of worry, the throwing up--none of it can compare to the incredible hurt I have felt that Dr. Miller or the office didn't care enough to call--after 3 weeks--to see how Finny was. When I called the office after he had been vomiting all night, the office staff relayed the message that Dr. Miller was "finished treating him and I should see another doctor." And while Dr. Miller had personally called in the past, now he refused to speak to me. I am deeply, deeply hurt and disappointed that my dog and I mean so little to this practice. read more

I have told them 3 times that my dog has died and I live in South America now. I have unsubscribed several times but I keep receiving emails from them. They don't care about me or my now dead dog. They just try to keep their cash flow going. Find another veterinarian who is more interested in you and your pets than increasing their income. read more

Quality compassionate care. Friendly atmosphere. Expedient follow-up. Have been bringing our dogs here for approximately 10 years now.

The ladies at the reception desk greeted us right away and were great. Dr. Miller was amazing and helped ease our anxiety of what was going on with our baby! He didn't do any unnecessary tests and was very straightforward with us. read more

I've been taking my two dogs to Twin Peaks Veterinary for the past eight years and have always received wonderful, compassionate care from the technicians, veterinarians, and front office staff. My mother recently moved to my side of town and brought her cat with her. I'm not much of a cat person, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect at a veterinary visit with a feline--but I was genuinely impressed by how thoughtfully and confidently the staff handled her cat's care. It was a huge relief for my mom to know there's a nearby, caring veterinary practice she can trust for her pet, just as I do for my dogs. I highly recommend Twin Peaks Veterinary. read more

Staff was extremely unprofessional when I called when my dog was having seizures. They were laughing on the phone. Our last appointment the new vet, and the staff were condescending. I am fostering kittens with SOS Cat Rescue AZ. I have one kitten who has been very sick, and we couldn't figure out why. So we brought her to Twin Peaks Veterinary Center to see Dr. Shear. I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of the place, the staff, and the doctors. Starting with the front desk staff, everyone is very nice and accommodating. You can tell that they're real animal lovers. When I come in with my tiny kitten, they find a kitten-friendly room for her to reduce her stress levels. They come in and check on her, then do vitals, then begin the procedures. They always allow her a few minutes for me to hold her in between whatever procedure she needs so that she won't get too stressed out. Cayley and Samantha have been particularly wonderful with Kiki and helping me learn how to deliver sub q fluids. Yikes! Dr. Shear is an absolute gem of a vet! From the first moment he saw Kiki, he demonstrated that he would do everything possible to help our little girl. Kiki is a smitten kitten! When Dr. Shear comes in the room, her tail goes up and she starts purring and showing off for him. She seems to know that he's going to do everything possible. We are still working getting little Kiki to get better, but I have every confidence that if something can be done, Twin Peaks Veterinary Center won't miss a beat! read more

Definitely 5 stars and more. Staff always kind and friendly and loving to each pet. Dr. Miller is the absolute best vet I've ever had.

Found this vet thru word of mouth, after spending a fortune on pills that never worked from two other "vets" My opinion: there are lots of vets that simply want to push pills, treating your pet like a rental This place is incredible; 10 minutes and he knew exactly what was wrong with my Labrador; another 10 minutes looking at a sample under his microscope and he not only had a complete diagnosis but also had a complete treatment plan. Was he cheap? Not really but what price do you put on your best friends health? read more
