The bedspread is a little outdated but who really cares about this? It was clean upon arrival. Make sure to request extra towels, only two sets provided (and they're kinda small, even for two petite women!) The shower is a wee bit small, as well! Probably not conducive for a larger male... but the water pressure was fabulous! Cabin came equipped with a little burner to cook, large fridge with freezer space, pots/pans/drink ware. Even paper towels and dish soap! Such a cute little cabin for a weekend away with our puppy! Would definitely stay here again!

The small kitchen works if you are prepared and smart. We brought our cast iron pan which worked well. The cabins are on two sides of a busy road. The comforter was dirty and the bathroom needed another pass. The garbage from the last guests had not been removed which meant we couldn't really enjoy the porch because of the garbage smell. You can't stick people with your last guest's garbage!

I am almost afraid to do this review because then the word will get out about this amazing place…read more We cannot say enough about how wonderful the experience was. Igor, the owner, checks in on you without being intrusive. He is always around if you need anything and is very accommodating. We stayed in Cabin#9. There were 5 of us. We stayed for 6 nights. You walk through a covered porch into an open concept living room/eat in kitchen. There are 2 full bathrooms side by side with walk in showers. Then you walk through each bathroom to get to a bedroom. Each bedroom had a queen bed. Each bathroom and bedroom were nearly identical. Each bedroom had an in-wall air conditioner. There were no air conditioners in the main living space, but we kept the bedroom and bathroom doors open and it kept the place cool. The kitchen is well-equipped with a full sized refrigerator and freezer, stove with oven, toaster, microwave, dishwasher and drip coffee maker. There was an extra leaf for the kitchen table, if needed, and additional folding chairs, if needed. There was a tv in both bedrooms and the living room. One of our kids slept on the couch, which opens to a bed, but she opted to not open it up. There were bath towels for 6 people. Igor offered to provide more if needed. There is no daily cleaning. The cottage came with 3 small bars of soap in each bathroom and some extra toilet paper. There was also dish soap and sponge in kitchen. Some things to consider bringing: toiletries, charcoal and lighter, hair dryer, iron and ironing board (if you are into ironing), pool towels, and board games and playing cards. These were not provided. Also, note there are no on-site guest laundry facilities. There is a laundromat in town, if needed. The outside pool was wonderful. It was between 85 and 87 degrees every day. There were also horseshoes and corn hole. There were tubes to float on by the pool. In the back of each cabin was a small Weber charcoal grill . Bring your own charcoal. There is also a fire pit with cooking grate. The Pemi river runs behind all of the cabins except Cabin#1. The river is too rocky to swim in behind the cabins, but there are other places you can swim in the Pemi, including Cascade Park in the center of North Woodstock, Otter Rocks and Lower Falls. The cabins are very close in walking distance to downtown North Woodstock and there are sidewalks to make it safe. There are wonderful restaurants and quaint shops there. The cabins are very close to the Kangamagus Scenic Byway, which has great pull offs for hiking and scenery, Franconia Notch State Park (less than 10 minutes drive), Lincoln and the Riverwalk by Loon (3 minute drive), White Mountains National Forest (less than 20 minutes). Loon Mountain (5 minutes drive) Cannon Mountain (10 minute drive) Bretton Woods (35-40 minute drive). Firewood was available for sale on site for $6, bags of ice were available for $3.

I booked 3 nights at Profile Motel & Cottages for peace and quiet to get some late night work…read moreaccomplished, hopefully some sleep during the days, and some hiking of the local trails & sites. I am grateful to have seen the high ratings and found this property in Lincoln - Matt and his village are something special. Whether you're outgoing and personable and like to meet neighbors, or more private and enjoy your own people or your own time alone, this is the place to stay. I indulged in both privacy & camaraderie this trip, and enjoyed both thoroughly. An exceptional host, it's also clear Matt takes pride in his property as he is either splitting logs & chopping firewood, renovating bathrooms (motel's are pristine), mingling, playing volleyball & badminton with guests' kids, or singing at a late night campfire. One of the greatest features of this property is its location. Being away from the busyness and uptightness of uptown was spectacular, yet only a six-minute drive for the benefits, which for me primarily meant the eateries and pubs. I ate in, I dined out, and I grabbed takeout. And each time I made that pleasant little drive back to the village, I smiled. My favorite memory: Sitting on the screened-in deck of the cottage at night with my feet up, laboring away on my computer with a beer, watching the campfire Matt lit and the people gathered around enjoying company in nature. That is the best office design. Oh! Definitely go to Arnold's Wayside for breakfast. Or lunch. The rooms are spotless, very clean smelling and were kept up.The bathroom was adorable as well. The mattress was the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a hotel. The owner's were very accommodating and my husband and I had a nice conversation with them and took them up on both restaurant recommendations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family by the sweetest couple who clearly pour their hearts into every detail. The rooms are spotless, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and there are thoughtful, homey touches throughout that make it feel more like a cozy guesthouse than a motel. During our trip through NH in mid-October 2022, we stayed at several hotels, motels, and B&B's. Note that they don't take online bookings. Instead, you have to call their desk, which was fine by me. The only complaint I had could be chalked up to user error -- the heater was a bit too powerful for the room size. Highly recommended.
