They recommended a few hot water heaters for us to choose from and explained each and gave us prices. They ordered the heater and it arrived quick. A few days later they arrived exactly when they promised. They were done in a few hours. The original plumber who came out and his coworkers were very friendly. They put our 3 dogs at ease and my 6 year old granddaughter said of one of them "that guy is really good to talk to and I like his voice"! I wish I remembered his name. He also gave my husband a few pointers on another way to remove water from our flooding basement. We now have a plumber we know we can rely on if the need arises again!

Trombly Plumbing when good enough is too much trouble…read more I had them do three things for me, though I should have caught on the first time. First was to run a heat duct up to the second floor. To do this they had to cut a hole in the floor. I agreed, but I asked the duct be installed far enough way from the wall with the window, it was in a corner, so I could box it in and make it look nice. They finished and I was not happy with the results. First, it was not the distance away I requested, I gave measurements. Second, it was at an angle so I had to build a bigger box than should have been necessary. Finally, they had cut a large round hole, abandoned that idea and then cut a larger oval hole than was needed. This is the original flooring from the 19th century. I had to build a base around the bottom of the box to hide the holes in the floor. Second try. I have a pantry that used to be a small 1/2 bath. I had them turn it back into a bathroom. This part of the house doesn't get good heat so I needed a solution to keep the pipes from freezing. Their only solution was shut off valves for when the temperature was too cold. The pipes run under the house in a crawl space. I talked to them about other solutions. They told me this was the only thing that could be done. I went ahead with it. I found out there were several other solutions. After everything was done it looked OK, until. One day I was leaning against the sink and it suddenly let go from the wall. It didn't come out completely, but was now at a slight angle and it is loose, you can give it a little wiggle. I asked them to come fix it. They said it was not anchored into a stud because there weren't any in that area. They never told me. I checked around and there are simple solutions. Finally, I had them fix an emergency. Every time someone used the plumbing the sewage would pour out onto the basement floor. They came out right away. They told me before they could start I would have to have it professionally cleaned. I did. They proceeded to cut the old sewer pipe out only to have sewage splash all over the basement. They did fix the pipe, but I asked them to pay for it to be cleaned. They refused. They said the pipe was blocked and nobody could have known. Well, a plumber would have known that if sewage isn't draining there's probably a clog. Don't use Trombly! You have been warned!

One of his employees appears to have taken some cds from my house. This employee also stole from SBP Builders too. This guy no longer works there as he skipped town. Also I found that cleanup was never really done after a job. I had to do some major cleaning myself and there is a general disregard for the rest of the home by all employees, using furniture as places to leave tools etc. They installed a door the wrong way, it swings inside and not outside as I asked. They hung a mirror in my bathroom that is still wobbly and makes it hard to clean for fear I will knock it down. The price was decent. Overall, I would rate SBP builders as 'okay'
