We needed to find a place rather quickly so I looked on Yelp for a reasonable place and had to call Profile Deluxe when I saw the perfect rating. This place does not disappoint! The rooms are spotless, very clean smelling and were kept up.The bathroom was adorable as well. The mattress was the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a hotel. The owner's were very accommodating and my husband and I had a nice conversation with them and took them up on both restaurant recommendations. Munroe's and a restaurant down the street, Ember something or other. Both eatery's were outstanding We are already talking about future day hikes and will definitely stay at Profile Deluxe again.

I stayed in the "Happy" suite. King bed. Entry room that was separate from room with the bed & seating. Entry room had a mini fridge & a place to hang coats and clothes. AC in my room as well. They cleaned my room the next day. They have bigger units with kitchenettes as well as a jacuzzi suite. The owners have been running this place for 35 years and have a lovely dog. This place has manicured grounds and flowers so wonderful you can smell them the second you step outside. They have a play area for kids, horse shoe toss, a volleyball net, walking trails, BBQ, fire pit, picnic area (the last 3 overlook a river which you can swim in. The river was low when I was here but I still went in and when I sat down it was chest height.) They also have a screened in area with a picnic table if it happens to be buggy. Plenty of outdoor seating. Bring your own fire wood. Also, bring your own firewood if you book a room with a fireplace. They don't sell it here anymore, but you can buy it down the road at Fosters. I did & it wasn't a hassle at all. You can hear the river from your room and it's so relaxing. I can't stress enough how much of a difference not being on the main road makes. The serenity of the Seven Dwarfs really made this trip. Their website says they offer a breakfast, but the owner said they no longer do that (like they no longer have fire wood here) because it's just he & his wife running the place and he's getting older and has to work nights. When I heard him say that, I really wasn't disappointed at all. I mean, stuff like having to drive down the road for food might seem like an inconvenience to some people, but you're staying in northern NH. Part of the draw is the down to earth community. If you want to stay in some bourgeoisie hotel chain, maybe the Twin Mountains area isn't for you. Anyways, there are many other places to eat for cheap around here, and my room had a fridge. You can always stay in a unit with a kitchenette if you want to make yourself food Like another user said, the theme is cute and kitsch without going overboard. This motel isn't cabin style, but I had neighbors on either side of me and I couldn't hear them at all. It felt secluded and very cosy. We stayed in #2, ground level. We heard all footsteps, talking above and around us. We heard the pipes and plumbing when people flushed the toilet. I didn't expect that and as a light sleeper, I probably wouldn't have stayed more than 1 night. It was a great price & location from The Cog Railway, 20 minutes away. Several locations in that area require a 2 or 3 night minimum stay at least due to NH's ski tourism.

We like this place for a bunch of reasons: 1- The cabins have kitchens (with an oven, fridge, microwave) and we can save a bunch of money by making our own breakfasts and lunches. 2- The resort has a big, grassy play area and a nice pool for the kids. 3- The availability of fire pits. 4- It is relatively cheap. I think most of the smaller cabins are around $125 per night, which is the price of a small hotel room in many places and much cheaper than a hotel room in many major cities, but you get two bedrooms + a kitchen + a small living room. 5- It is pretty close to a lot of fun things for families including various train rides, Santa's Village, Franconia Notch State park, Conway, and so much more. 6- It has an after-10 PM quiet policy and therefore tends to attract families who go to bed a bit on the early side which is nice because you can crack open the windows at night and not hear any parties or loud music which is helpful if you have small kids and/ or are a cranky middle-aged guy like me. Finally- the people who run the place or friendly, thoughtful and helpful. All-in-all, I really like the place. It's clean, great for the kids, and very low key. Definitely nothing fancy or upscale, maybe a bit closer to camping than visiting a resort, but we love it and will keep going back.

You have to know what you're getting into, the walls are thin so my recommendation is to stay on the second level. Each room has a covered balcony which is nice but can't really be utilized in the winter (it doubled as our refrigerator). They rooms themselves are clean enough although the bathrooms could use some updating. Fortunately they had a LCD TV so I could hook up my xbox on the rainy day to pass some of the time. The best part however is their shuttle service. By staying at the lodge you still get full access to the resort and a shuttle is on call for you 24/7, so maximize the use of this service to cover the resort fees. If you're looking for an opulent stay at Bretton Woods then it goes without saying that you should stay at the Omni. If you think a hotel room is nothing more than a place to sleep and only want something that's clean, stay at the lodge. It's not as terrible as people make it out to be but it's about on par with something like a Red Roof Inn.
