Stacey, the owner, welcomed us to one of her dozen free standing cottages. (No one in ski boots clomping on your head). Ours had one bedroom with double and twin beds, plus a futon in The living room. Perfect space for me and two kids. More importantly, It was the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Every nook and cranny was spotless, clean grout, immaculate kitchen and bath. My favorite was the brand new sponge left for our use (no gross germs from prior guests!) Neatly stacked wood, starter and newspaper made fires easy and fun. Sheets, mattresses and towels were new but the rest of the furniture is right out of the 60s. Snobs should head down the road to pay 6x for mediocre 80s decor, but for rustic charm and a place that's actually clean, this is it. The kitchen is thoughtfully appointed with well maintained pots, pans and everything you need. Wifi seems counterintuitive for a cottage in the woods, but reality demands it. Service was reliable. The kids were confused by the 24" tv, until they realized that it had a remote and cable with all their favorite channels. It really gave us more après ski time to play board games and chat. All this, plus only 4.4 miles from Bretton Woods. And no waiting for the shuttle!

I'm thinking about our stay, we are mostly Dissatisfied with this condo for the most part,…read more Feeling the cost was not worth the stay. Seems like they are genuinely trying trying with customer service, but this condo Wasn't ready for guests. Here's why: in addition to the grill not working, due to lack of cleaning and maintenance. The biggest issue is The windows were mostly inoperable and are broken , rotten, and without screens. Because of this, the upper bed rooms got extremely hot during the day with no effective way to cool them bc the windows don't work. And the ones that do you can't open without allowing bugs in bc there are no screens. Also, Similar to the dirty stained couches and basket that smells like urine, (but without the visible stains) the window treatments, bed covers, and blankets in most of the beds feel dusty and unclean like large pets were sleeping on them and feel itchy for the guests. Also, the air hockey discs are too large for the game and fan is weak, so it doesn't work properly. The offer to do a follow up clean of couches was appreciated but would've been too disruptive with 10 people already staying there and a couple elderly ones staying for the entire day in the condo.

We just had our wedding there and every guest mentioned how beautiful the location was. We where able to rent all the cabins for family and friends making our wedding a 4 day event. Aaron & Alex made us feel right at home and made planning a wedding easy & stressfree. Not to mention that they are reasonably priced compared to renting a function hall. This venue & experience was perfect and we can't thank them enough!

I consider myself an advanced beginner when it comes to skiing and I find the slopes at Bretton…read moreWoods an ideal location to practice, steadily advance my skills, challenge myself when I'm looking to level up a bit, and alternately kick back when I just want a simple ride from top to bottom. While their lift tickets can be a bit pricy, hitting them up during the shoulder seasons can help with affordability. I've been here in both early winter and late spring and found the trails to be in good condition! As someone who sticks to the greens with an occasional blue mixed in, their trails offer enough variety to keep me entertained throughout the day. I like having my pick of 4 chairlifts and a gondola to check out different sections of the mountain. On my last visit, there was a very challenging weather day the day before my visit and it was clear the staff were hard at work overnight to groom the trails. Throughout the day, they were actively working to open additional trails (at which they were very successful) as well as firing the snow machines to get other parts of the mountain open as soon as possible. The lower lodge is straightforward, offering plenty of seating to change into your ski boots and eat a meal. The food is pricy but we always try to make sure we have options out in the car to manage our costs throughout the day. That isn't unique to this ski resort of course though. The upper lodge at the top of the gondola is nice as well. Unlike the lower lodge, their bathrooms are on the same level as the entrance so no having to manage stairs in clunky boots. Gorgeous views of Mount Washington from the peak! Worth it on a bluebird day!
