We had good service at least but their food was so not worth the money. Their quality just really sunk throughout the years. It's sad. The $13 Mongolian beef had too many green onions and rubbery beef. I did have leftovers so the amount was nice. Their jajangmyeon had liquidy sauce and not chewy noodles. Sigh. Like most of the Niles plazas, the places are just so old and feel so deserted. They are in much need of remodeling but I don't think enough customers go here to make a good profit. read more

Twin Dragon has added a lot of Korean items since I was here last. My aunt tells me they brought in a little old grandmother who used to get paid $7,000 a month at a different restaurant because she's just that good. I don't know why my aunt knows that other than she's a big gossip but my expectations were pretty high after hearing that information, even though we were just ordering off the lunch menu. I always order soon dubu chigae to use as a benchmark. Twin Dragons version was very good though not the best I've had. Maybe my expectations were too high. It looked bland at first glance but it was plenty flavorful and spicy. Either way, it's better than the version at Cho Jung in Glenview but not as good as Haewadall in Morton Grove or Cho Dang. We're still way behind LA...waaaay behind. The banchan needs a little work imo. Practically every table had at least one bowl of jjajjangmyun so maybe that's the thing to order here. Just an FYI, if you order the jjajjangmyun, no banchan comes out with it. I don't know if everyone is aware of that. read more

Not good, before you order you need to ask their prices first otherwise they will charge you as they please. The explanation will be old menu if you question them. I ordered scallop and peapod and on the menu it was $11.95 but they charged me $16.95. No taste no seasoning nothing it was total disaster steamed rice tasted old and was like they heat it up from yesterday's leftover. This is the best suburban Chinese restaraunt. Awesome mongolian beef and sweet n' sour chicken. They also make a great hot n' sour soup. A nice date place in that there is a great variety and its quite so you can have a good conversation. An ex took me here for our first date and it was really quite good. read more

Let me just say that I have been coming here since it opened in the mid 1980. I know the family that opened the restaurant and went to school with their eldest daughter. They are a Korean family who brought the chef from their previous restaurant in Alabama. So to say that this restaurant went Korean in the 90's is total BS. It was always a Chinese - Korean restaurant from the beginning serving the typical noodle dishes to cater to the Korean customers. The food has always been solid , not great. Mongolian chicken is delicious but HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I told the worker 5 times over the phone I wanted white rice instead of fried and I still got fried. Then asked for a fortune cookie and she said no because I was not dining in....I asked for hot sauce and she said its 50 cents and I was willing to pay with my card and she said NO. Worst restaurant experience I've had in a very long time. I walk in and get seated and wait 20 minutes and nobody comes to check on me or ask if i'm ready to order. If you like to know what the WORST restaurant experience is like, go ahead try this place !!!! I went to Twin Dragon Chinese Restaurant today during lunch time. I LITERALLY waited for 45 minutes to have a bowl of Jjampong, seafood noodle. There was almost no seafood in my bowl of Jjampong - just two pieces of shrimp, one piece of mussel and lots of vegetable to fill out the space. Water and radish had never been refilled while we were at the restaurant. I didn't have enough time to leave and go to another place for lunch since I had waited little too long at this place. I had to finish the Jjampong within 7 minutes to go back to work. I don't care what went on in the Kitchen to have its customers to wait 45 minutes for food. Go there only if you have lots of time and money to waste !!!!! No regret leaving this review about Twin Dragon Restaurant at all !!!! read more

Twin Dragon has a good Chinese food. I was a big fan of twin dragon food for a long time until recently. The story started by me recommending two of my friends to try the restaurant as they were looking for good Chinese food. After we all went there this time I noticed that the service was horrible and below average. Basically what the waitress did was: 1. No smile on her face at all. 2. While we were looking at our menus, didn't wait for us to ask questions, yet she rudely said, "When you decided I will be back". 3. We were four and we ordered four soups (family menu style), she got us three and when we asked for the 4th soup, she wanted to mix the 3 soups again and distribute them among us as 4. 4. She didn't check on us at all while we were eating. Didn't even provide us with water. We had to call her several times to get it. My friends didn't like the service and decided that they should send a message by limiting the amount of the tip (that is the purpose of the tip). While we were leaving, the waitress didn't like how much of the tip she got. We tried to explain to her that the food is great and we enjoyed it yet the problem is the customer service needs to be better. Instead of valuing our feedback, she rudely told my guests to "get out of here and not to come back again". I was shocked to the fact that she didn't even try to fix the issue in a positive way. We expected at least for someone to tell us "I'm sorry about your expierence today, hopefully next time we can make it better for you". When we asked for the manager, she said that she is the manager (Which we had hard time to believe). By insulting my guests this way, it made me change my mind about this restaurant, and now I'm not recommending anybody to go there, especially from my company which is very close to the restaurant location (in fact after I told several people in my company about this incident, they all decided to not eat there). I felt that it is the worst thing to do to be rude to your customer for being honest about your customer service. If you want to try good food, please go ahead and eat there, but it will be a mix with a horrible customer service that can turn to rudeness. This place is the best darn Korean-Chinese food you can get in all of Chicago-land. It's been owned and managed by the same family for over 10 years, as long as my family has been going there. It's not going to be your traditional Chinese-style take out food. Do not go there if you are just ordering fried rice or egg foo young. What people order here are the traditional Korean-Chinese jja-jang myung and spicy jampong. SO GOOD! The best that you're going to find in Chicago. And the mongolian beef is good too! read more

Tonight was my first visit to Twin Dragon and they delivered! We were walk-ins and there were three of us. The inside looks more welcoming and fancier than the storefront facade. We each ordered a different, fairly common Chinese dish and they were all as tasty as it gets. The portions are huge and lovely for the price. I ordered a simple moo shu pork for the first go - they wrapped the pancakes for me, which impressed me. The dish was warm and flavorful. The three of us ate nearly everything. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Service was a bit slow but it was 7PM on a Monday, so I give it to them. If you don't mind waiting a little longer than usual (possibly), then this place is worth it! read more

Hard to beat this place for lunch specials. Its a chinese restaurant owned by koreans and thus they have both korean and chinese food. The tangsuyuk is amazing and the chachang myun is one of the best in the city in my opinion. Lunch prices are really low as well and the food comes out fast. Dont come here expecting authentic chinese food but rather a delicious korean style of chinese food. Also if you order a korean dish it comes with pancheon so make sure if you want it to order a korean dish. read more

We had visited this place several times and notice that the service was getting worse. This past Saturday 6/6/2015 @ around 6:00 went here for dinner. This was the final straw. After being seated we waited for 20 minutes without being served. My wife and daughter kept getting the attention of the waitress but to no avail. The party in front of us "total of 6" was already eating when we decided to get up and leave. My wife approach the lady who was running the place and she didn't even seen phase that we were walking out. If you are a small part i don't recommend that you go to this place as they are more focus on the bigger parties. This is the last time me or my family will ever step foot in the is place. It is pretty good food for a reasonable price. It is good for take out when you feel like being lazy.

We had reservations for 7 people for 5pm on Christmas and were promptly seated. We were among 4 other seated tables (it was pretty empty). We ordered a few minutes later. At 6:30pm we had received only two of our appetizers and no other food. Other tables had left before getting their food. The staff couldn't assure us when our food would come, so we left too. They were sorry, but other than being "busy" they offered no excuse nor offer to make it right. It seemed they prioritized multiple take out orders before ours. The food is delicious but the service is HORRIBLE!!! The lady who was taking my order didn't speak english. I was sitting and waiting for my sister to join me for lunch and told the waitress that I am ready to order.She just said Okay,turned around and left?!?!? Ok. I understand that maybe she misunderstood so I didn't say anything. After some time she came to me again and asked if I was ready to order and I said YES. Guess what? She said Okay,turned around and left!!!!!!! Horrible,horrible service! I understand that it's Chineese restaurant and like at most other Chineese places they speak poor English but really if you ask me to point out on the menu what I want to order because you didn't understand than that's very unprofessional! I really enjoy this place, specifically the Mongolian Beef. It's my favorite asian dish and I've had it at many restaurants, this is the one i keep coming back to. I can't speak to other dishes, but this is really good here. Also enjoy their soups. Lunch comes with soup and an egg role for a very good price. read more

Have been coming to this restaurant for 20 years, always liked it until tonight. Its under new ownership. I realized that as soon as we sat down and I saw the menus, they were different, and it was different staff. The new staff does not speak a word of English. I had to get the owner to come over..she understood enough to take our order. The service was horrible, through the whole evening, except when the food was brought over, not once did anybody come by to see if we wanted something, and we had 7 ppl in our party. I had to get up and get straws myself. The food was very mediocre. When we got the bill it was in Chinese and it was incorrect. I had to ask the owner how much each item was and we had to recalculate the bill by almost 15. Since we had more then 5 ppl in our party they added the tip at 16%. Wow, for such terrible service. We came in one half hour before closing, they gave us a menu and before we had a chance to look at it - they told us we had to order now because the kitchen was closing. So, we never got a chance to ask about the different options, because the waitress just told us we had to order and then walked away. When we asked for a pot of tea, they told us there was no more tea. How hard is it to put a tea bag in a pot of hot water. Whenever we wanted something, we had to get up and find somebody because nobody came around to see how things were going. They gave us the bill before we got our food, and then wanted us to pay right then. But, it got even better - after we had eaten we had to get our own doggy bag. Then, we had put our cash tip on the table, but we were still drinking our water when the waitress ran up to our table, grabbed the tip, nothing else only the tip, and walked away. I literally am seated and for over 15 minutes no one has taken my order. Ive watched as they seat other patrons and have taken their orders all before me. I finally try to get the attention of someone. He sees me and najes eye contact but the shrugs his shoulders at me as if he doesnt know what us going on. I gesture him to come over. He hesitates and comes over. I ask if i can order. He leaves to ask someone but then is distracted by two customers that just walked in. I try to get his attention again and he sees me again but points to the waitress. I wait again even tho i did not see him speak with her about me, but nevertheless they should know i am here without him telling them. I cant wait anymore, im pissed. The waitresses are not even busy. They are standing around looking at the room to see if anyone needs help, but they dont ever look my way. Im invisible!! I finally bring my menu to one of the waitresses and they seemed shocked at who and where i came from. I pointed to my table and said i am ready to order. I asked why no one has waited on me. She said "no one told me". WTF!!?? I order the soup and she said "no its for two". I said "I dont care thats what i want to order". What is wrong with these employees here?? I am so fricken hungry right now that its too late to walk out and find someplace else. And all this before I've even tried their food. read more
