Burger was excellent and cooked to order. Fries were super crunchy and the corn nuggets were super tasty! Waitress was friendly and even brought water for our dog. They have a pet friendly patio with a nice view. It's surprisingly quiet for how close it is to the highway! A great spot for lunch! read more

I was very disappointed. Not only was our meal 45 minutes in the wait, but I got a salad with grilled chicken, that was supposed to have lettuce tomato and green pepper along with cucumber and carrot. I really got lettuce with 3 very thin sliced 1/2 of the circle of carrots and cucumbers with the chicken. When I mentioned that I didn't get what was ordered they said they were out of tomatoes and peppers. They still charged $9:50. Seriously, if I wanted a head of lettuce with my chicken then I would have ordered that. My husbands burger was good as was the Mac salad but they didn't offer anything to add to my salad. read more

At best a two star. If you like common fare, hamburgers and beer for example and many things fried this place is for you. Noisy, busy and an old style diner. Mac and cheese is good. Mountain sandwich okay. Like I said the usual stuff. If your travelling I80 it is a handy on and off. They do decent breakfasts. Small diner with easy access to 80. Very clean with tables, booths and counter stools. Clean and roomy bathrooms. Friendly staff. We are here during breakfast hours. Simple but good breakfast menu. Affordable prices. They sell PA lottery tickets and scratch offs. They also sell beer. Tasty omelettes. Delicious homemade bread as a choice for toast. Would definitely return. read more

I stopped here while traveling across I-80, I had driven 600 miles that day and was excited to find a diner, looking forward to a hot meal. It was late and I was the only customer there, except for a group of people who were finishing up. My waitress was nice enough. I ordered fried pickles to start and asked if the mac n cheese was good, the waitress told me she thought it was. The pickles were fried nicely but had no pickle taste- disappointing. A massive plate of mac n' cheese came out from the kitchen bubbling, not from the oven, but from the microwave. There was SO much butter in it that if you pushed noodles to the side, butter would flood the free space, it was swimming in it. It also was hardly cheesy and the noodles were mush. I put salt and pepper on it to try to eat some of it, but I could only stomach four bites or so. I let my waitress know I would not be finishing- the amount of liquid butter made it inedible. She took it away and brought me my bill- with the mac and cheese still on it. I asked if I had to pay for it, after all, I'd sent it back. She looked confused and sent someone out to talk to me. There was no communication between this woman and my waitress because I had to repeat to her what was wrong with it, which she summed up as "so you just don't like it." I asked if I could have it taken off my bill, and she said, "can you at least pay for half of it?" At this point, I was tired of this place and their demeanor so I acquiesced. What could've been a great diner experience was instead a huge disappointment. read more

This is a great place to stop for breakfast if you're traveling on Interstate 80. The establishment is very clean and the folks running it are friendly and welcoming. We got breakfast sandwiches to go and they were generous, filling and delicious. One of us has dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating. Highly recommend this diner! read more

Two of us stopped by for a quick lunch while we were passing through on I-80. The food was OK and the location was convenient. However, we had a terrible experience in service. Our order of two sandwiches took 30 minutes to arrive. When we asked the status of the order, the waitress rudely said "I am not responsible for what's going on in the kitchen." We also saw another group leaving after waiting to get the menu for 5 minutes. read more

Good place to stop whilst on highway 80, especially if it's morning. Came here around 8am on a Tuesday on our way out of New York and the breakfast was great. Had an egg and cheese sandwich which helped me out of my state of tiredness. Lots of hunters were there, it's a no nonsense normal diner, nothing special and that's what I like about it. Don't expect any fancy teas or coffee, just good prices and small towned sensibilities. It does take forever for your food to come, just be prepared for that! read more

Folks, I don't know where all those good reviews came from but we went to the Twilight Diner based on the reviews and will not go again. The breakfast food was good for our table of 3, especially the potatoes. However, it took at least 45 min for the food to arrive. I had just informed the waitress we were leaving and received a chilly response. She had told us they were busy but most of the tables were empty and there were less than a dozen people. If you are a sinus-sucker in blaze orange, or a housewife with rollers in her hair with nothing to do then this is your place. Order a beer to go with your dinner because you might have to wait that long. read more

So the interior is seriously, blah. Dated, somewhat depressing, like the "before" picture in Robert Irvine's Restaurant Impossible. Anyway, The food was simply... OK. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, just a simple grilled chicken salad and some chili. The chicken itself was nicely grilled and tasty, but the way the carrots and onions were chopped for the salad were so unsophisticated that I thought... 'is my mother back there hacking up this stuff?' ps, my mom freely admits she hates to cook, and her prep work shows! The chicken salad was pretty basic, some raw onions, cucumbers, lettuce and carrots. That's it, and it was missing something... The chili was simply OK, it was filling but pretty basic. I like to have some toppings for my chili, (cheese, raw onions, sour cream) but they just serve the basic chili. If you've ever had the chili at Wendy's, that pretty much is what this is. But on a good note, the waitress was super friendly and did a great job. read more

This is my first review which definitely says a lot. I was unpleased from the moment I entered the restaurant. Our waitress was behind the bar, made eye contact and ignored us. After looking for a sign regarding seating, I made my way to the back porch, before seating myself I asked our waitress if we were okay to sit outside. She responded with attitude stating, "Sure, I'll be out whenever." She took ten minutes to get to us, never gave us a name, and walked away before we were done talking multiple times. She was quick and snippy. Quick to respond, but slow to bring out our food; check on us, and make sure we were satisfied. I order Nachos as an appetizer in which took 40 minutes to come out a long with my meal. It's an appetizer. My nachos were burnt, & cheese was dry. I went to pick up one chip and all of the chips lifted with it. My chilli dog was beyond soggy, I couldn't lift it up. My food had definitely sat for awhile before It was brought out to me. The only decent thing was the bag of chips as a side. I am beyond disappointed in the food, staff, and I will not return. I wasted 2 hours at this restaurant. Do not recommend! read more

Very solid place. Much better than expected from the outside. Don't worry if you see no sign from the interstate. We didn't either. We had breakfast: omelet, egg, French toast were good. Especially French toast. We think the service was good. The only cons are that the omelet had a bit too much cheese and the bread came pre-buttered. read more

We've stopped in a few times before on the trek between Chicago and New York. The first time we were leery, but the food's always been tasty, and service friendly and timely. Recent reviews were a little worrying but tradition prevailed - so glad we stopped! Mountain chicken and steak were perfectly cooked and delicious with or without the mayo on the toasted homemade bread. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her bleu cheese burger. Everything came out together and really quickly although pretty much every table was full. Next time, we will be more adventurous with what we order. read more

I saw the sign off rt80 and took a chance, I thought an omelet sounded like a good idea but to my disappointment they do not serve breakfast in the afternoon so I went with the double 4oz burger with cheese and it was great, perhaps one if the best I have had.
