And businesses often under-promise and over-deliver (which is rare, and oftentimes a selling point). Well, Ray over-promised and over-delivered (is that even possible?) Our water heater was in its last days and I could tell it was going downhill fast. It was a Thursday evening and I was losing hope that I'd get someone before the weekend hit. Well, Ray to the rescue. He responded via Yelp Thursday night letting me know to give him a call first thing Friday. Well, I did. And Ray walked me through step by step what it's going to look like and that he can come in Friday afternoon to get the water heater replaced. He answered all my questions BEFORE the job, made sure I knew everything I was going to purchase BEFORE he purchased it all. I was in the know and he did not try to sell me anything else I didn't need -- which I always appreciate. In fact, he went the extra mile to offer me different pricings and options for the water heater and its parts so I can pick for myself. He gave his two cents about the parts and the water heater AFTER I asked him about the difference, and not just rambling about his opinions trying to sell us the most expensive ones. Then, he came as promised right around noon and went right to fixing our mess. Got it done in a matter of few hours making it look awesome. Oh, but Ray isn't done after the installation and fix. He made sure to go over every little thing he did so that I wasn't left confused about anything. And he documented it all so I have it for my records. Then, he leaves saying I can let him know if I notice any further problems with it so he can make sure to tidy it up, not that I think I'll need it because he already did an awesome job for us. The job cost us right around what we thought it would cost us and that's always a good thing. A nice cherry on top is that Ray is very personable and is pleasant to talk with and is a people person. Might I add that he had a great attitude--not the kind of attitude that appears he's in it for the money. Nope. That's always the type of person we enjoy doing business with. Thanks, Ray! We will be contacting you if we need any other jobs fixed or looked at!

Oh my gosh, where do I start? Eric returned my call promptly…read moreto have my house painted. He showed up on schedule and brought a color palette with him. We hired him on the spot. My wife and I chose a color and Eric brought a sample pained on cardboard and painted a swatch on the house as well. The color we chose ended up being a shade too bright and we called to go down one shade. No fuss no muss Eric started the process over. Now my wife has been ill so she chose a bright cheery color that reminded her of our cruise to the Caribbean. Why does this matter? Funny thing is that when he started one of my neighbors stopped and asked if he had any influence in our color choice. Job done nlm Anyhow Eric spend 2 days power washing scraping and sanding. He gave us a roll of tape and asked us to mark any spots we thought needed attention, there were none. Eric has followed up twice now and is adamant he stands behind his work. Very nice man, reasonable prices, and very conscientious.

Roby came over and was very professional and respectful when he arrived to my house. First of all, he wore a face mask and he put on shoe mittens to make sure he did not bring any dirt into my home. That was a big plus just to start to have a service person come to your own home and be very cognizant not to offend and respectful to keep my home clean. Then he proceeded to explain the cleaning process how he painstakingly cleans very large and heavy oriental rugs in his warehouse. I appreciated his detailed explanation and his extensive training and experience in cleaning oriental rugs. He ended up taking away two of my family heirloom rugs in order to bathe them in his huge carpet tub in his warehouse. The large carpet was a green 100% wool rug made in India with Turkish wool which had tea and sugar spilt on it. Then he took away a a smaller red Persian rug that had been stored for years under a bed and was in need of deep cleaning. When he returned the two exotic rugs, I was blown away. The red carpet looked like it was brand new with deep rich red colors that I would have never gotten out with a vacuum. The red was not a muted rose as when it left, when it returned it shown as a deep ruby red, absolutely gorgeous. The larger wool rug was beautiful and clean as if it was brand new and it smelled clean and fibers were full, almost as if they were fluffy. In the cleaning process of the large green rug, he detected dog urine which had floated up in the soaking process. That was a huge plus to remove the pet urine in the rug that I did not know existed. I was more that happy with his service. I am confident that I could not find anybody else in Redding who was more professional, knowledgeable about cleaning oriental rugs and who deeply and thoroughly cleans your precious rugs. If you have a cherished oriental rug or wool rug, I would take it to no one else but Roby. He is 5 stars in every aspect. He would be a perfect candidate to be awarded small business owner award of excellence for Redding and the Shasta County area. I found him by reading some good reviews. Now, I hope you find him from reading my review. I write this review because I am a very happy customer and I will tell everyone I know who needs a carpet or a rug cleaned, to contact Roby at Twice as Nice. I am a satisfied customer beyond measure. I never write reviews but Robys work was so great I felt a review was warranted Roby came today to clean my carpets. I'm always on the look out for businesses that do a great job, take pride in their work, & have integrity...he was all this and more. I was so impressed with Roby. Personable, text reminders, corner protects; so the hose doesn't rub on door trim & walls. He even laid drop cloths down the hall and over my tile to protect it. The carpets looked fantastic, smelled great & he even left a nice sized bottle of stain remover. Stand up man, great business. I will never go anywhere else. Roby came all the way up to Lewiston from Redding to clean my carpet and he did an amazing job. I own two big dogs and two indoor cats and have people in and out of my home all the time and now my carpet looks brand new. He even got out 2 really bad pet stains. I wish there were MORE stars to give for Roby's superior service. I was impressed before he even started cleaning the carpets when he vacuumed the house and put corner covers on the walls so the hoses would not mark the walls. He worked diligently and took the time needed to not only get out stains that other companies had failed to remove in the past, but also to pull out sofas from the wall and clean behind them. He is more concerned about doing the job right than with rushing through it. We look forward to using his service again next year! read more

Roby is a miracle worker. He cleans all of my carpets: office, home, car. I recently spilt a gallon of milk in my car. It smelled horrible. He also jumped the price up to $300 on the day of the cleaning when he quoted me $250 max originally. I needed the carpets cleaned in the apartment that I recently moved into, prior tenants had cats and urine smell in the unit. Carpet cleaner was quick to cover his butt saying there are also yellow spots on the walls, so I should expect cat urine smell to continue. The reason I know he didn't do a good job is because I sometimes leave my laundry on the carpet, and within hours my laundry ends up picking up strong cat urine smell. This is after I already wiped down all the walls and repainted areas. After reading about cat urine neutralizer, I learned that all of the windows need to be opened when spraying the neutralizer because it causes the uric acid to turn into a gas. If the windows are closed, then the uric acid can't turn into a gas and stays saturated in the carpet. I'm sure the carpet cleaner enjoyed the AC while he was doing the carpet cleaning with windows shut, but at the expense of leaving my apartment smelling like cat piss. Dude should know how to use his tools properly. No point in complaining to have the job redone properly, I wouldn't trust it to be any better the 2nd cleaning. Also sure that I wouldn't be able to get a refund even though the work was done poorly.

A Breath of Fresh Air…read more I booked an appointment after reading Bigelow Brothers rating here on Yelp and I was not disappointed. When making the appointment I asked about the method of cleaning and Morgan took the time to explain the process. TRUST: If you want to talk trust try moving every piece of furniture out of two living rooms and some bedrooms onto your back patio (no rain thankfully). I was relieved when Morgan showed up not only on time but 10 minutes early. Big sigh of relief. RESULTS: Morgan spent ample time to thoroughly treat and clean our carpets and the results were outstanding. Even better his method doesn't soak the carpet with water preventing spots from returning the next day. Amazing results! CONCLUSION: Simply said working with Morgan and Bigelow was a refreshing experience. A company who shows up on time, keeps their word and does outstanding work. You could tell he takes pride in his work. I would recommend Bigelow Carpet Cleaning to anyone in the greater Redding area!
