He also jumped the price up to $300 on the day of the cleaning when he quoted me $250 max originally. I needed the carpets cleaned in the apartment that I recently moved into, prior tenants had cats and urine smell in the unit. Carpet cleaner was quick to cover his butt saying there are also yellow spots on the walls, so I should expect cat urine smell to continue. The reason I know he didn't do a good job is because I sometimes leave my laundry on the carpet, and within hours my laundry ends up picking up strong cat urine smell. This is after I already wiped down all the walls and repainted areas. After reading about cat urine neutralizer, I learned that all of the windows need to be opened when spraying the neutralizer because it causes the uric acid to turn into a gas. If the windows are closed, then the uric acid can't turn into a gas and stays saturated in the carpet. I'm sure the carpet cleaner enjoyed the AC while he was doing the carpet cleaning with windows shut, but at the expense of leaving my apartment smelling like cat piss. Dude should know how to use his tools properly. No point in complaining to have the job redone properly, I wouldn't trust it to be any better the 2nd cleaning. Also sure that I wouldn't be able to get a refund even though the work was done poorly.
