Ron was prompt in returning my call and I'm extremely happy with the job he did in my master bathroom shower. It literally looked like there were 3-4 different grout colors when he started the job. He also recommended sealing the granite in our home and took care of that project the same day he did the re-grout in the shower. I've put a reminder on my calendar for Feb 2022 to have him come back and reseal the granite again in a year. I recently contacted ICS Tile & Grout Services for their help in enhancing the look of some tile work in our (new to us) home. Over the years, certain sections of the grout had become discolored and we wanted the situation corrected. The problem was isolated to the floor in our casita and a guest bathroom counter. We were considering replacing both the flooring and counter-top - major project. Two days after I called ICS Tile and Grout, Mike came to our home to provide a free estimate. He quickly assessed the situation and recommended "staining the grout" versus an expensive tile replacement job. Mike showed me a variety of stains that could work with our tile color and design. We agreed upon his price, the stain color and scheduled the work to be done about a week later. Mike arrived on time and spent several hours carefully staining by hand, every inch of grout. He moved furniture and replaced it when finished with an area. The tile grout now looks new / great. We are happy customers as a result of fairly priced, quality work. I highly recommend ICS Tile and Grout Services. Nine months ago I bought a home with badly stained grout in a glass block wall. Sean was able to replace the old grout with new and I did not need to have the wall rebuilt. Nine months later, it still looks brand new, as do the other shower grout areas he repaired. I also had him redo the grout in my ceramic tile bathroom vanities, which were chipped and discolored. The vanities looked brand new, and still do, for a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire vanity top. I had ICS out to redo my kitchen grout and also my grout on my laundry room floor . When they came, I thought they did a good job, it looked great when they left. A few days later the cover they used on my grout in the kitchen peeled up and I had to call them to come out to fix it. They came out and fixed it and then again it came off. I called them again, they came out to try and fix it and then they gave me the paint they use on it so that if it peals up again I could do it myself. We saw the coupon from a mailer and decided to talk to ICS. We have an old house(1949) and both the kitchen and bathroom really needed to have the tile regrouted. We had them do the flat surfaces in the kitchen including around the sink, the tile in the bathtub and shower, and the bathroom floor. These areas look great now. What a difference! My main concerns with the house were fixing the entry & the master shower and clean tile in entire house. $1400 later. He came out 3 times. He said he would come out as much as necessary. If the job is done right the first time no need to come back. He destroyed our kitchen grout thinking he could clean it. The shower was a month project of him coming out, finally called a glass guy that sealed it properly. All the areas he worked the grout is chipping away, the entry, the deal around the kids tub. Good luck. I found him by coupon, that should be your first clue. My neighbors were disappointed too. They didn't ask us. Just saw his truck in the drive way & assumed it was good. We bought a ten year-old-home in the dust capital of Northern California. I'm sure the previous owners and their two, large, indoor dogs lived a good life here. Good...but dirty. After months of trying to clean the tile and remove the dirt embedded in the grout with the stiffest bristled brushes I could find, I gave up. The pictures Ron showed us looked good...and I figured if my kitchen ended up half as nice as his previous jobs, I'd be years ahead on cleaning, and thousands of dollars saved by not just scrapping the floors altogether. Ron and his crew member were efficient in their process. My floors were cleaned (and I mean c l e a n e d) with professional equipment and they restored my grout to its original color. They finished the project off with a matte sealant that dried within an hour. You know that grime you feel when you walk on your tile barefoot? I DON'T...because my floor is like new again! Ron McMahon and his nephew did an excellent job regrouting and stain sealing the 1970's vintage tile on my kitchen counter. I can't believe how good it looks now compared to before (it was pretty nasty).. Just like new now. And certainly much less cost than alternatives like re-tiling or granite countertops. First, the gentleman was very nice and friendly. However, the floors looked worse after he was done. I had four travertine tiles that needed to be replaced plus wanted the floors cleaned and sealed. I was upfront that I made a mistake and didn't put an impregnating sealer on the last time so the sealer just laid on top collecting dirt. Ugh! He said, "No problem." Imagine my horror when he was done (after less than 3 hours work for $600) and my old sealer was still there with the embedded dirt, the new travertine tiles were fine, but all surrounding tiles were cracked or pieces missing. They were fine before he started. So, he had filled the missing spots with grout. Is that the industry standard? I don't know. It looked horrible. But I do know that he said he used the best cleaner and that travertine just looks dirty anyway. Sorry, I know that's not true as I have cleaned them before myself. Anyway, ended up hand scraping all the guck off with a razor blade and resealing. I was very disappointed and at $200 an hour to boot. read more
