If you're looking for a professional, affordable carpet cleaning company, you've found them. Terrell has cleaned our carpets, and my mom's, and always done a fantastic job. He even recommended I replace certain old carpet with lots of pet urine stains, when he could have easily just charged me the expensive cost to spot treat all of them. I can't say enough good things about this company! read more

Very professional and excellent service. I had a bad stain in one bedroom and Terrel did a great job removing it. I highly recommend him.

We use them for the floors of our rental properties. They do a great job every time. No complaints!

I am a landlord and I have seen dozens of carpet cleaning jobs. We have used Preferred in the past and been satisfied but the company has changed hands and we weren't sure what we would get. Tyrell just completed the best carpet cleaning I have ever witnessed. He removed stains which, in the past, have been attacked but left untouched by other professionals. I am convinced he was determined to get them out and he did. I cannot believe he completed all this work for the price he charged us. You won't go wrong with this company. read more

This company left my carpet for my 3 bedrooms like new!!! Fast service,Answer my phone calls every time I called,Totally Recommend!!! ‼

Preferred came out yesterday to clean our 10 year old carpets. Terrel was professional and courteous and did an amazing job. Stains came out that I thought were there forever! Jessie in the office was professional and responsive as well. We will definitely be using them again! read more

in February we had an appointment with Preferred Carpet to clean some of our carpet. Turns out my husband ended up in the hospital a couple of days before so I called and left a message that I had to cancel. The next day I got a call back telling me Terrel would be happy to still come and clean my carpet. I could let him know where the key would be and he'd lock up when he was finished, and get this....he would not charge me for the service!! Who does that in this day and age? Turns out I was able to be here when he came. He is one terrific young man! Sadly my husband passed away. Today I get a follow up call from them asking how I was doing and if I needed help with anything! As I said before who goes out of their way like this to help a stranger? PLEASE if you need your carpet cleaned give Preferred Carper Care a call. Terrel Rittenhouse will do an outstanding job for you...guaranteed! read more

We have been using Preferred Carpet & Fabric cleaning for a few years. I really think they are the best in the Redding area! We had our carpets and couches cleaned this morning and they look as good as new. Something that I appreciate a lot is that the carpets were nearly dry by the time he was done. His new machine really extracts the water out and left a fresh clean smell. The price was definitely very fair! read more

Spoke to Jessie several times. Customer services is outstanding. Called over 6 different companies and all had bad customer service and wanted a million and one questions answered. We really appreciate the promptness and friendliness from Jessie. Thank you so much! read more

Excellent service. An actual person answered the phone when I called for the appointment. They were able to come out on the day I needed. Arrived early and did an amazing job! read more

Guy showed up and did not expect to clean our carpets; thought he was just looking at tile. He cleaned them anyway, but still looks dirty in traffic area - and we don't walk on our carpet with shoes! Looks a little better than when we did it with our carpet machine but not much. Expected a better job for the $500 we paid. Also left a bunch of charcoal looking stuff in the driveway where his truck was parked. Don't think we'll use them again. read more

We were in a desperate situation involving a skunk. Our dog got sprayed while we were out and stunk up our entire house. I was cleaning for over a week when I finally gave up and called a professional. Rod came the same day I called. he understood how uncomfortable it was to live with that smell in your house. He did an AMAZING job! the skunk smell was finally gone! I'm so grateful! I will for sure use this company again and again. And I highly recommend you do too! read more

I needed my 5x7 white polyester rug cleaned quickly due to out-of-town relatives coming to visit. Rod quickly responded to my voicemail and I dropped my rug off for cleaning immediately. He had the rug cleaned within a few days and the price was very reasonable. My rug looks brand new again! I will definitely be a returning customer :-) read more

I highly recommend Preferred Carpet Care!! I've made three different appointments with Rod, and he and Trina go above and beyond what is expected. Our carpet is over 20 years old and yes we need new carpet but not going to happen this year. Did I mention it is also a very light color. We have cleaned it many times of the years and the past few years I have tried cleaning it myself. It used to clean up ok but now my cleaning was just not working. The dark traffic areas and several spots just not coming clean. Rod was out and scrubbed the carpets first and then did the cleaning. I won't say they look brand new but they look pretty darned good. Thank you Rod for my clean carpets read more

I have used Preferred carpet care to clean my carpets for the last 7 years. Carpet looks great, Rod is very reliable. Always happy with the service! read more

After three years we finally broke down and called in the professionals. Rod and his crew were able to come to our home within two weeks. After the fires they have been very busy. They arrived right at the scheduled time. Since we had a dog Rod sprayed in areas where there had been accidents. The area they cleaned is around a thousand square feet. They had the entire project done in about two hours. The ended up going over the carpet three times until they were satisfied. Our carpets are beautiful and smell so fresh. Rod and his crew have years of experience and are very professional. I would highly recommend using Preferred Carpet for any and all carpet cleaning needs. read more

I have 8 chairs which were badly stained and Rod made no promises. He said it's going to be a tuff job. He did not disappoint us. He's very knowledgeable and has the equipment to assist in making a difficult job easier. The price was reasonable as well. So don't hesitate to call them I am satisfied customer and will use them again. read more

Preferred Carpet Care cleaned our stairs, living room, and mohair furniture excellently. No other company would touch mohair - or had even heard of it. Preferred has restored our 15-year-old furniture to almost its original appearance. Rod and his assistant were friendly, professional, and thorough. The only negative was a bit later arrival time than originally scheduled. I will be using Preferred for all our carpet and upholstery cleaning needs. read more

I've been meaning to leave a positive review about our experience with Rod and Preferred Carpet Cleaning for a few months. I recently came across some of the "before" photos I had shared for our quote and they reminded me of what an amazing job Rod did with cleaning our couch, love seat, and area rugs. He was extremely easy/professional to work with, arrived on time, and did a great job with all of our pieces. I will definitely use Rod's services again! I highly recommend! read more

I have had Rod clean my Karastan rugs for many years and just had him clean my couch, my loveseat, and a chair. He does wonderful work. He shows up on time and he's very neat. I highly recommend him. I gave him five stars. My rugs were very expensive and he is the only one I trust to clean them correctly. read more

I have been using Preferred Carpet Care for nearly 15 years and have always been very pleased with the results. Their customer service is excellent and I completely trust them to be in my home. read more

I really appreciate the good work that Rod did on our carpets. He went above and beyond to clean 3 smaller area rugs (remnants of our wall-to-wall carpet) in addition to the living room and bedrooms. He is careful, thorough, and starts the drying process with his strong fans as soon as one area is done. We have used Preferred Carpet Care several times, and are always happy. Thank you! read more

Words can't describe what a wonderful job Mr. Rod did. He saved my holiday and my carpet! My husband hired a Discounted Cleaning Company in to do our carpets and they turned my house into a barn. The smell was hideous, the carpet was saturated with water, they left no fans, and it wasn't getting any better. I phoned Mr Rob after-hours and thankfully he answered. I told him my terrible situation and he was over the very next day at 7 am to fix my problem. And fix it he did. My house is now back in order with no residual odor. I am looking forward to seeing my granddaughter crawl around on my clean smelling carpet. Thanks Rod, you're the best. No one else will ever clean my carpet but you. SJK read more

Not sure where to begin. Totally disatisfied with this carpet care business. Our carpet is 3 yrs old and has been cleaned before after initial 1 year wait time. Since Preferred Carpet Care did our carpet and had to come back for "tea" stains that appeared after first cleaning (we had a pet) our carpet is sticky and has an awful residue. My carpet does not look clean, refreshed or have any softness to it. Vacuuming is a struggle and that's with a Riccar vacuum that is self propelled! $200 alone for "special" pet stain product, total came to $400+. We will be calling true professionals to come in and clean our carpet so we do not have to wear socks due to sticky residue. One last note: carpet was cleaned on a Tuesday and floor was not dry until that Sunday. 2 slips in the shower due to residue from carpet we will never recommend these guys. Had to give a star, if yelp provided a 0 that's what I would have given. read more

Wrote a long review, then decided on this: My mother taught me that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. But in the defense of your carpet, or anything else you need cleaned, please don't use this company. Literally the worst experience I have had with people working on my home. read more

Wonderful service! My carpet looks beautiful again! Rod was very friendly, professional & knowledgable & did a great job... I would recommend Preferred Carpet to anyone I know. read more

I highly recommend Preferred carpet cleaners. From the friendly lady who answers the phone and sets up your appointment to Rod and his assistant who clean our carpets I have nothing but the highest praise. Rod was able to clean a section of carpet that we thought would have to be replaced. Amazing!! He's taken care of us for a few years and will always be our carpet cleaner read more

We are prepping a house for sale and needed both some carpet repairs (cat damage) and a deep cleaning. Preferred Carpet came out within a couple of days of contacting them, got the job done quickly, and the carpets look great. Would highly recommend. read more

The problem with YELP is that their system allows only some of the reviews. As you can see, there are so many more great reviews on Preferred Carpet that were not allowed by Yelp. I needed my carpet cleaned and stretched in the master bedroom and closet. Rod was very quick to respond. He gave me an "estimate" over the phone and I know that he would have to see it to be sure. He came out and did exactly what he said he would and for the price he quoted me (which was HALF of what another company quoted me on site). He did an AMAZING job! I highly recommend using them. Thank you Preferred Carpet & Fabric Care for making my carpet look great again!!! read more

Preferred Carpet has cleaned our floors for many years. They always do a great job getting rid of stains and helping to maintain our carpeting to look good for our customers. We have high traffic with men's work boots on our carpets and Preferred keeps us looking great! read more

They quoted a low bid, to beat competitors price, then claimed a "misquote" after the job was done and charged nearly twice the amount. They are unorganized and had written my number wrong and never called to confirm. Go with another company! read more

I had my tile shower cleaned by this company last week. I so impressed with the service and completely satisfied. I would highly recommend this company for your tile cleaning needs. My shower had been neglected for quite some time. There was soap scum and mildew buildup in there. Rod came out and wasn't sure how well he could clean it up. After he was done my tile looked brand new. I was also impressed that Rod took care in closing the front gate every time he went in and out because he didn't want my dogs to get out of the yard. He was kind and courteous. The whole process only took about an hour. My sister has used this company as well and is pleased with her results. read more

Preferred Carpet & Fabric Care have been taking care of our carpets since they were installed new 15 years ago. Our carpets have had a lot of traffic and spills from us, our kids, grandkids and various animals who have lived with us over the years. We recently had our annual cleaning done by Rod Barth and once again Rod made our carpets look like new! My wife and I highly recommend Preferred Carpet & Fabric Care. They are careful, thorough and will do an excellent job every time they clean your carpets. Clyde and Linda Johnson read more
