in February we had an appointment with Preferred Carpet to clean some of our carpet. Turns out my husband ended up in the hospital a couple of days before so I called and left a message that I had to cancel. The next day I got a call back telling me Terrel would be happy to still come and clean my carpet. I could let him know where the key would be and he'd lock up when he was finished, and get this....he would not charge me for the service!! Who does that in this day and age? Turns out I was able to be here when he came. He is one terrific young man! Sadly my husband passed away. Today I get a follow up call from them asking how I was doing and if I needed help with anything! As I said before who goes out of their way like this to help a stranger? Guy showed up and did not expect to clean our carpets; thought he was just looking at tile. He cleaned them anyway, but still looks dirty in traffic area - and we don't walk on our carpet with shoes! Looks a little better than when we did it with our carpet machine but not much. Expected a better job for the $500 we paid. Also left a bunch of charcoal looking stuff in the driveway where his truck was parked. Don't think we'll use them again. read more

Our carpet is over 20 years old and yes we need new carpet but not going to happen this year. Did I mention it is also a very light color. We have cleaned it many times of the years and the past few years I have tried cleaning it myself. It used to clean up ok but now my cleaning was just not working. After three years we finally broke down and called in the professionals. Rod and his crew were able to come to our home within two weeks. After the fires they have been very busy. They arrived right at the scheduled time. Since we had a dog Rod sprayed in areas where there had been accidents. The area they cleaned is around a thousand square feet. They had the entire project done in about two hours. The ended up going over the carpet three times until they were satisfied. Our carpets are beautiful and smell so fresh. Not sure where to begin. Totally disatisfied with this carpet care business. Our carpet is 3 yrs old and has been cleaned before after initial 1 year wait time. Since Preferred Carpet Care did our carpet and had to come back for "tea" stains that appeared after first cleaning (we had a pet) our carpet is sticky and has an awful residue. My carpet does not look clean, refreshed or have any softness to it. Vacuuming is a struggle and that's with a Riccar vacuum that is self propelled! $200 alone for "special" pet stain product, total came to $400+. We will be calling true professionals to come in and clean our carpet so we do not have to wear socks due to sticky residue. One last note: carpet was cleaned on a Tuesday and floor was not dry until that Sunday. 2 slips in the shower due to residue from carpet we will never recommend these guys. Had to give a star, if yelp provided a 0 that's what I would have given. read more

Words can't describe what a wonderful job Mr. Rod did. He saved my holiday and my carpet! My husband hired a Discounted Cleaning Company in to do our carpets and they turned my house into a barn. The smell was hideous, the carpet was saturated with water, they left no fans, and it wasn't getting any better. I phoned Mr Rob after-hours and thankfully he answered. I told him my terrible situation and he was over the very next day at 7 am to fix my problem. And fix it he did. My house is now back in order with no residual odor. I had my tile shower cleaned by this company last week. I so impressed with the service and completely satisfied. I would highly recommend this company for your tile cleaning needs. My shower had been neglected for quite some time. There was soap scum and mildew buildup in there. Rod came out and wasn't sure how well he could clean it up. After he was done my tile looked brand new. I was also impressed that Rod took care in closing the front gate every time he went in and out because he didn't want my dogs to get out of the yard. The problem with YELP is that their system allows only some of the reviews. As you can see, there are so many more great reviews on Preferred Carpet that were not allowed by Yelp. I needed my carpet cleaned and stretched in the master bedroom and closet. Rod was very quick to respond. He gave me an "estimate" over the phone and I know that he would have to see it to be sure.
