My friends and I ended up here after it was the only place open at 3pm on a Sunday. We were desperate for some food after a hike. Our group got sandwiches, soups and some tea. Great marketplace with delicious sandwiches, soups, prepared food items, pastries, and coffee. You can get the items self served, then sit in the eating area. The store also sells all kinds of chocolate, wine, oil, soap, etc. nice place to stop by. read more

This place is overpriced. If you order a sandwich to go they will "forget" to put on the bacon or alvacado (whatever costs the most to them) not to mention a simple sandwich takes over ten minutes and if you want it heated up in the panini press it will take about 20 minutes. I know someone who spent a summer working there and they never recycle. They have different garbages for recycling so you think they recycle but at the end of the night the owner throws everything in the dumpster. Please think twice about supporting this dishonest business. You will not be missing much. read more

Lived in the area almost my entire life and went into Twelve Pine all of 4 times...MAYBE. If it weren't for friends who swore by this place I probably would not have returned after the first time. I find the place very "snooty" and unfriendly. They're food is OK but nothing to get too excited about, you can get the same things somewhere where people are friendlier and not so uptight. read more

Twelve Pine has a great, high-end atmosphere, good soups and decent sandwiches (although they could change-up / add new options for the sandwiches a bit more often.) They try a little bit too hard to "look" gourmet and don't pay quite enough attention to the actual taste of the food (the deli case always looks amazing but I'm frequently a little disappointed after I dig in.) Their dessert case is amazing and I believe their gelato won an award....it's really good. I don't really care about price but I know some people do and this place isn't cheap. It's a good place to go for wines and for condiments as they have a huge selection of sauces, rubs, dips, that sort of thing. read more

Whenever we are back in NH we visit Twelve Pine. We wish we had a similar gourmet deli/market near us. My favorite is their grilled steak salad with capers and vegies. I dream of their brownies. They have a nice selections of pastries including cream puff swans from the Dutch Epicure. We particularly like to load up some selections and bring back to share with my mother-in-law. And it's great to pack this and eat on the plane trip back - make the other passengers envious. ;-) read more

The sandwiches and salads here are sooo fresh and soo flavorful. Yes a flavorful sandwich! The gelato here is also very yummy and pretty authentic! They have a little section where you can buy some fantab wine and beer, bottled sauces, candles, books, chocolate, jams and more! It can be pretty costly but I think it's totally worth it! read more

Great location and nice big windows to look out at the cute town... But, wow, the lack of organization to get the customer from the front door to eating at the table is a mess. It wasn't that crowded when we went, but it still took 15 minutes to get our first sandwich. We were already done with our drinks and chips by then. My husband's sandwich came at least 10-15 minutes after my sandwich came. He was waiting at the counter and there was one woman making the sandwiches while 4-5 customers waited. Our order was not the only one partially filled because we saw 2 other tables with just one person eating, and then the other would get his food much later. For this disjointed experience, the food should have been amazing, but was not. read more

This is my absolute favorite place to go for lunch. It's about 45 minutes away and I still go all the time. The food is above and beyond what I've had anywhere else. Lunch for two for $33 consisted of small soup, scoop of chicken salad, microwaved but cold shepherd's pie, with NO beverages, on a warped cafeteria tray. Very long checkout line, one cashier, too overwhelmed to get coffee. Cardboard soup containers with no lids. Soup poured down my arm, burning me when going inside my sweater and coat. Spilled more soup when trying to get marginally clean silverware and navigate around shoppers. Tables on opposite side of store. Bussed my own dishes. I've had better food and more enjoyable experiences at local restaurants. My last visit. read more

We have been to Twelve Pine a number of times over the last 10+ years and have always enjoyed stopping in. They have a nice selection of foods, soups, deserts and drinks available. You can see all the food in the case which makes it easy to judge what looks appealing to you at the moment. It can get very busy but they have a decent amount of seating. read more

The food is decent; my husband and I really like their tomato and mozz sandwich with chicken. The owner and employees are really rude though. Their sign says that they are open until 7 but I went in with my family at 6:30 and was told that I couldn't get a sandwich because they had already washed the cutting boards. If you claim to be open until 7 then you should be willing to make food until 7. I used to work at a restaurant and it didn't matter what we had cleaned or put away, if a customer came before we were closed, we served them. I thought that was common sense. read more

We stopped here to meet someone who lived in the area and was pleasantly surprised. It allowed for a meeting that lasted several hours, yet was comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. There is a huge variety of food, and well-done. There's also a nice shop where all types of food, and other little amenities can be bought. Spend a fortune for NYC pretense in nh...not. Food is imaginative but overpriced and (if it requires reheating) dry and 'reheated'. Had a really good lunch here the other day. Paninis, wraps & salads were all tres tasty, and not TOO over-priced. Most of the staff were very friendly & helpful (one chick was kind of a snot - she seemed new & was probably caught up in some kind of big fish in small pond trip..). The whole ordering & paying process was a bit chaotic, but nothing more than I've encountered in other counter front cafes. Great looking selection of (pricey) stuff on the market shelves, along with some interesting beers. Would have been nice to find some local brews - maybe none exist? Great location in Depot Square in the center of Peterboro (or Perfectboro as my mom from apparently downmarket nearby Antrim likes to call it.). Definitely worth a visit as long as you can deal with that uptight, east coast groovier than thou attitude of the locals. read more

i have been to 12 pine several times as i have been in the area. most things are good...not great... from time to time, the take out deli has been great, but this Good Friday, i took out the baked Haddock, served with vegetables and rice. it was OFF THE CHARTS GREAT. i can say, without reservations, it was THE BEST I EVER HAD ! they should offer it more often. fresh, very fresh, and perfectly prepared. i will be returning to 12 Pine. read more

Good alternative to fast food....they have healthy food (natural meats and try to use organic produce whenever possible). Sometimes the sandwiches aren't that tasty (but sometimes they're excellent) and it's a bit pricey, but when you're looking for a fast, healthy meal, there aren't many alternatives in Peterborough. read more

I really enjoy this place. It just makes you feel fancy and fun all over. The portions are controlled by your own discretion. I love the tuna melt, it makes me feel loved. It does take a little time to get in, get your food and get seated but it is worth it and really it is one of those places I reserve for special days when you take the time to enjoy life! read more
