I do not believe in Yelp reviews, however I felt that my encounter at this coffee shop warranted one. So much so that I made a Yelp account just to write this. I wanted to try and support a local coffee shop and saw the outstanding yelp reviews for Twee so I decided to give it a try. However, the encounter I had with the man on register made me not want to return. He is a very tall, older man and was wearing a hat the day of my visit. Firstly, the line was not very long, maybe 3 people in front of me but it took at least 15 minutes to reach the register. Once I got to the register I understood the reason why it took so long to reach that point. The man was visibly all over the place and just very disorganized. It seemed to me that he may have been on something. I felt uncomfortable and tried to order as fast as possible to get out of the situation. I ordered a latte and it may have been the only good thing to come from my bad experience. I would recommend this place to people who do not get uncomfortable easily. read more

Ok this review is strictly based on the matcha, so consider this review for the matcha and the matcha only. I will say nice service very cute inside. And I did not try the coffee which I would still consider trying. However the matcha was not good. I got a lavender matcha and it tasted like sugar milk with all due respect. Matcha Enthusiast Here! I am always skeptical trying matchas from small and local cafes but this matcha was pretty decent! 4/5 from me, and was a satisfying drink to get on my road trip. The matcha is unsweetened on default (green flag) and you can add any sweetener. I added simple syrup and requested it half sweet. The matcha has a robust taste but the ratio to milk and matcha was a little off today, so it was a bit milky- but you can tell this is a pretty good quality matcha powder. Maybe making it a full sweet will bring the matcha flavor more. I noticed a bowl with a chasen so I think they do hand whisk it! The staff directly brings you the drink too which is nice. read more

This small coffee shop (see my inside pic) is tucked in the back corner of this corner strip shopping center. The parking was fairly busy on this morning. The staff was extremely welcoming and intuitive. It was a treat to have helpful staff. But this also meant that the ordering process was a bit slow. We had a regular cup of coffee, which was good, and a blueberry scone, see pic. While the scone was simple it was healthy and flavorful. Small coffee place a little hidden. It's in a shared parking lot with other business so it can be hard to find parking sometimes. Matcha latte was pretty good I got it with orange blossom syrup and it was a unique flavor! The iced sweet latte was also really yummy. I told the gentleman helping me that it was my first time there and I was visiting from out of town, and he recommended different syrups to mix with the drink I wanted and customized the sweetness for me after I mentioned in the beginning that I like things that are not too sweet. I ended up getting the hojicha with rose syrup, and it was such a uniquely delicious drink. It was a beautiful balance of roasted and floral flavors and truly tasted handcrafted. I also ordered a slice of banana bread, and it was okay. Most pastries were already sold out, so if you want more variety to choose from, plan to come before 10am. The tables are a bit small to work on, and the bar had already filled up by the time I arrived. So, again, plan ahead and come early for prime seating if you need a workspace.
