Fresas con crema
Veronica Y.

Came specifically because we were craving strawberries with cream. The crema was delicious with berry clearly mixed in, and the strawberries were great too, even though I don't think we are in strawberry season. Got the large and it was indeed extremely filling. Next time must try the other fruit option too because they all look spectacular. The savory food was a big pleasant surprise as we didn't come initially for the savory dishes. The tacos were massive and they were very generous on the meat. The burrito was also huge, served grilled and hot with oozy cheese. They definitely don't cut corners here. Meat itself was also above average, although not as good compared to placed that specialise in only doing a couple types of meat. It's a new all-in-one stop for me!

Super friendly staff, fast service and yummy Mexican--style snacks and appetizers. You won't be disappointed.

I've been here a hand full of times and it's never disappointed! Reasonable pricing as well. 16oz vaso de elote was about $5, (5) mini tacos plate was 11.99. Y los tacos eran increíbles, the bag of chicharrones con valentina was a huge bag for $2.50. I highly recommend! Gracias por la excelente comida y el servicio! :)

La Goleta -- all kinds of juices and fruit topped with some candy. The fruit cup was as good, if not better than the picture looks.

The pictures speaks for itself. Honestly the best fruit cup I've had in Austin. If you want something healthy make sure you let them know because they add Chile and sugar to a lot of them. Sooooo good. If you don't know what to get, tell them what you like and take their recommendations for the best thing on the menu for you. Will definitely be returning.

Cardboard star cut out in icecream

I got Ice cream that honestly wasn't great, which is hard to do for ice cream. I asked if they had toppings and they said they only had granola as I stared at a tub of sprinkles and several others behind them. Not only that but as I ate the ice cream I noticed something I couldn't chew... it was a cardboard star cut out in it.. absolutely disgusting. I had a lot higher expectations for this establishment, I was definitely mistaken. Please don't waste your time or money.

Carne Asada French Fries

We tried this place for the first time after seeing it on Yelp. Omg the carne asada tacos and the carne asada French fries were DELICIOUS!! The carne asada was so good. They have a wide variety of fruit cups, fruit juices and all sorts of yummy snacks. Worth trying out when you're up for something different. We definitely will try this place again.

Quite busy at 8:15PM on a Sunday! About ten people ahead of us and only two people working so it took about 10-15mins with people asking for samples and such. While we were there, it was always a packed line so it definitely gets really busy from 8-9PM! We got three larges for a total of twelve flavors, a little bit of overlap: Mine: Dark Chocolate Olive Oil and Sea Salt - Really liked this, the bitter saltiness offset the creaminess really well. Coffee with Cream - A very light but roasty coffee, like a light coffee. I liked this!; Goat Cheese, Thyme and Honey - The herbal flavor is more subtle than I expected! Not too sweet, liked this one Sweet Cream & Strawberry - this one didn't stand out much to me Others: Roasted Beets and Fresh Mint - I really liked this one! The beets and mint hit on the back of your tongue, yum Chocolate Chocolate - Very intense chocolate, not too crazy about it though Cookies & Cream - Surprisingly good! I liked this one Very Strawberry - way more strawberry than the sweet cream. I'd recommend this over the sweet cream and strawberry Hill Country Honey & Vanilla Bean - Pretty light, a classic. Thought it was okay. If I had a tier list it would be: 1) Coffee with Cream 2) Goat Cheese 3) Dark Chocolate Olive Oil 4) Roasted Beets and Mint 5) Cookies & Cream 6) Very Strawberry 7) Vanilla Bean 8) Chocolate Chocolate 9) Sweet Cream & Strawberry Overall, a few hits, a few misses, but it was a fun tasting experience. We paid via inKind with no issues, which made it a pretty solid value.

A milestone. A monument. A celebration of a man whose legend looms over Austin like a slightly tipsy bat. Nate Gardog & Co bravely ordered what was advertised as an Oreo cake meant to serve 4-5 humans. What arrived, however, was not a cake. It was not even a mini-cake. It was... a cupcake wearing platform shoes. A baked good masquerading as something it clearly was not. The bag was on us, literally and spiritually. Shane--who, need I remind you, is an Austin icon, a man whose culinary preferences are practically carved into the walls of Barton Springs--was forced to confront this fraudulent pastry. And let me tell you: no man deserves this. Not at 38. Not ever. If the staff at Amy's were the true clairvoyants we believed them to be, they would have inherently known Shane's one, true, universal flavor: Funfetti. Classic. Chaotic. Confetti for the soul. Yet here we stood. Funfetti-less. Candle-less. Hope-less. As the final insult, there were no candles. Not even a sad, melted tea light from the back. Nothing to blow out except disappointment. In conclusion: the vibes were off, the cake was tiny, and Shane--our dear, beloved Shane--deserved better.

Located on 6th Street, Jim Jim's is surprisingly accessible with parking spots available out front and just around the corner. It's not a sitdown place so keep that in mind for your stop, but the line does move fast and they are very efficient. There's a good variety of flavors and things they serve from italian ice to ice cream and shakes. We opted for a strawberry italian ice with condensed milk on top. From the first bite we were in heaven. The flavor is very thorough which is not always the case for Italian ices where it can sometimes be a bit muted. Every single bite of this was packed with flavor. They also carve out a bit of the middle to put the condensed milk which makes every bite much more equal than if it was just placed at the top. This was by far one of, if not the best, Italian ices we've ever had. We would very much recommend it to anyone in the Downtown area looking to cool off.
