Stopped in while headed home for the holidays. Greeted by a nice staff and an excessive amount of Christmas decorations. Esp. for days ahead of Thanksgiving. But it looked nice. Family ordered a variety of meals. The Trio of Italy with fettuccini Alfredo, chicken parmesian, and lasagna. Ziti rosa, Ziti marinara and a big pepperoni pizza. The dipping bread came out with marinara. It was ok. The salads weren't that exciting either and the blue cheese dressing was truly not great. The potato soup was better but also not remarkable. The mains came quickly and followed suit. Most things weren't bad they just seemed like a knockoff Olive Garden - and that's not exactly great either. The exceptions were the lasagna and chicken parmesan. The lasagna just wasn't good at all and the chicken was overdone and dry. I found the pizza decent, but the rest of the family was less impressed. Our oldest said it reminded her of high school pizza and others reported it was bland. We didn't complain but someone was kind enough to provide a complimentary cheesecake with the sauces. One who sampled it didn't find it to be that wonderful either. read more

What a nice surprise to come across on our road trip. We were surprised to find a packed parking lot so we knew the locals liked this place. It's comparable to an American Italian chain (it is part of a group that also has several Mexican restaurants) like a combo of an Olive Garden, Artisan Pizza and neighborhood small town pizza shop. Not the best, not comparable to Italian you will find in a larger city, but still good and at a fair price compared to most sit-down restaurant chains. I don't think it would do so well in a tiger city but like many smaller towns they have to make compromises for a smaller audience, and more limited resources. I think they made a good effort and we would come back. The pizza dough was tasty, and sized right for me. The cheesy bread was not so great and too dried out. The salad was simple but adequate. We also ordered bruschetta which was too mild and kind of ordinary but maybe that's what the locals like. Usually there is more seasoning, olive oil in the mix and a more toasted baguette slices. read more

Entering this place was like going home to Italy if I'd ever had lived there. What I would expect Italy to be like anyway. My wife and I love this restaurant. I told her to get ready I was taking her here and she smiled so big she had lipstick on both ears. The food was so good when I got some of it on my chin my tongue just about beat my brains out getting it. Service was great and the building reminded me of an old Pizza Hut probably because it was. Tried online ordering first and was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp primavera was excellent. On another day, I got the 10 in. Make your Own Pizza which was perfectly made - couldn't finish in one sitting - but definitely wanted to. The boom-boom shrimp was ok, not so crispy. I liked the drive-thru pickup. When I dined in , they didn't have my first choice, so I opted for the Mediterranean salad which was good. My server, Randy, was super friendly and attentive. Wait time was ridiculous I called at 4:30 for a table at 5:45. Got there and they said 30 minutes. Waited over 2 hours called and spoke to a manager who said my party was no longer aloud to eat. When I asked why and advised that pisses me off they threaten to call the cops, as well as took photos of my car. I don't recommend this place to ANYONE!! read more

We've been there three times in the last two months, so that should tell you everything. Regardless, I will describe. Firstly, the size of the place is what would be called "Exclusive" in a bigger city. Sadly, they are still having to turn away business on Friday and Saturday nights because of their popularity - if you're planning more than two, call ahead and call ahead early. There are online means to get on the wait list as well, but F-That, CALL. The staff is friendly to just short of the point of giving your food for free. Seriously at times I wonder if they have server boot camp in the mornings. That behavior is consistent throughout the staff, and is welcome in a area that very often feels lackluster at best. It feels like they care, even on the busy nights. As far as the food goes, THREE times in the last TWO months, once in a rainstorm, and we live 30 minutes away. Also I was raised in New York and grew up on some of the best Italian food outside Italy. If you were to describe food by a map of the country they come from, you have a cross section of the thigh boot of Italy from the "hip" to the "tip"! Everything is covered from vegetable-focused Primaveras to perfectly balanced and prepared seafood dishes. This is all in addition to your standard Italian restauranté fare of various red sauces and Alfredo. Their table bread is a baked garlic foccacia served with some small cups of marinara and red pasta sauce (I have mine with their amazing lobster bisque - small up charge on the soup with the entrée). Their cocktails are Worthy (they taste good and are strong enough to be worth the reasonable drink prices) and the variety covers a broad range of tastes. The there is the desserts. OMG. Cakes, including a great cheesecake, but also a Tuxedo, Ganache, Rum cake... All of it on quality with any bakery I've been to in NY or LA. EXCEPT THE CARROT CAKE! Which, in my opinion, is the finest carrot cake I've ever eaten, and I do not normally like carrot cake. So 113% Would Recommend! Go. Go now. Call ahead! read more

Service was horrible and slow. Once we finally received the food we had to eat it faster than the roaches they were crawling around (about 6 of them). We got up and complained to the manager all he said was sorry it happens. I recommend anyone not to eat there unless you want company the 6 legged kind.... We called ahead and the person I spoke with was so pleasant, I said,"I love that guy!" We were seated and our server, Lisa, never once made us feel rushed. The place was pretty packed and she treated us like we were the only ones there. The Boom Boom Shrimp had the perfect balance of crunch and heat. We ordered the steak medallions which were perfectly tender and medium rare. We also ordered the Chicken Carbonara. Many times the grilled chicken is just a passing thought. NOT THIS TIME. What a great find! We came across Tuscany by googling places on our road trip route. It was such a treat after being in the car all day. Service was so friendly, and our waitress Randi was very kind answering all of our gluten free questions. Sadly, our dining experience this trip was less than perfect. I have eaten at Tuscany's multiple times with never a failed trip. Last year had the pleasure of introducing multiple friends to dining at Tuscany's. This year we decided to repeat it and have dinner prior to the Lights of Gallipolis. We arrived at 4:30 (party of six) and were added to the waitlist at 4:34. We stayed out in the vehicles and chatted and discussed what all everyone was having. We received an update that our wait time had been extended. No worry. Then as our wait time neared, we chose to sit outside and wait. A friend and I walked in and asked a couple different times about how much longer. This was after 90 minutes. One hostess, short but nice in response and another very rude, eye rolling and asked to go back to our cars as they don't have a 'waiting' area. So, we stepped outside. At this point our party of 6 had been #1 on the wait list for about 25 minutes. We offered to split as there were two tables beside each other. The hostess, again rolling eyes, said I'll put that in the notes. Shortly after that we peered in the door to see that both tables had been sat and we were still outside. Finally, we got a table. From the moment of sitting our waitress was fabulous. Bubbly and energetic. She was very informative with choices and knowledge of the menu. Salads and appetizers came out rather quickly, but then another disappointment; the food cold and no recourse taken by management. Then the manager delivered out first tray of dinner while our waitress came with the other. He sat the tray down and quickly walked away, not even offering to pass our meals out. You could tell from the food on the tray it wasn't warm at all. No steam, and filmed over sauces. Multiple meals sent back and the manager didn't seem to have an immediate resolution again. We did return 4 of 6 meals. They removed some meals completely and then offered a discount for the remainder. This was adequate as we needed to leave after spending 4 hours on the premise. Unfortunately I do believe the demise of our food and timing was intentional and the staff very talkative of our issue. We apologized to our sever multiple times and believe we tipped her appropriately ($100) in the end. None of this her fault. I hope that things are not as this visit was on a return trip. I hadn't been here in a good while, but only because I am not super close by. I have always enjoyed this place, and this time was no exception with a couple of caveats: the menu has changed and no longer features Pollo de Fumicato, which was the crowning glory of this restaurant IMO. The service this past visit was also really bad, which is unusual because in the past I have always had stellar service. Seating manager was Very rude. Had call ahead seating 2 hours before we wanted to show up. Receive text message at time of call ahead seating time. That said, table would be ready in 17 minutes. We arrived at restaurant and seating manager said that he was sorry that he can't control the the phone calls or text messages that Yelp sends out and that we still had an hour and a half wait. We had a party of 15 that we had to rearrange all of our plans because everyone thought we were going to be able to eat there. This the manager was very rude. Did not try to offer a solution so the restaurant should not allow for call ahead seating. They should just say first come first serve. Bad review! read more

Drove out to Gallipolis Oh to try this restaurant out on the word of my daughter and I wasn't disappointed! We had the appetizer of chicken Alfredo fries and it was delicious, the combination of chicken and Alfredo on top of fries was magnificent honestly I could of eaten this as a main dish. For our dinner I had the shrimp Carbonara it was very delicious. The right amount of shrimp with sauce and the onion and bacon added a nice surprise to your taste buds. My wife had the chicken Carbonara and she was impressed with her dinner as well. I along with my entree had their corn chowder and as far as a comparison I can't say it was my first time having it and from Tuscany's version I'll definitely try it again! The service was friendly and fast but it wasn't a heavy traffic time! But your server Hannah was attentive and kept our drinks full and that's a major plus for me . Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert but the menu showed several that looked absolutely amazing! 10-10 recommended if your traveling through this area to try this.
