Tony and I went to have a quick late lunch and opted to share our meals. Tony went with the Roadhouse Burger with Waffle Fries and Bud Lite Draft and I opted for the Fire Roasted Flatbread Supreme minus Green Peppers with a Ice Cold Pepsi Service was good Food was Good Highly recommend

Food and drink were decent. Service was not. The waitress was nice just not knowledgeable on food or drinks. I had to ask for my salad and my sour cream never came. Not sure it was with coming back.

Wonderful place to enjoy an evening. Large portions for a decent price with many options. We had a wonderful waitress named Lakin who was quick, efficient, and made sure we were well taken care of. Glad to have stopped by during a visit to Ripley!

Is 2.5 an option? The food was good but go when it is dead. I would not recommend if the parking lot is full.

When the breakfast was ordered, the server left before it could be specified. My wife had to catch her to tell her scrambled eggs. She started to walk away again, my wife stopped her to tell her bacon. Off she went, my wife had to stop her and tell her biscuits. It seems that if you order breakfast without swiftly specifying, you'll get over easy eggs, bacon, and yet to be determined bread option. It took a very long time, and we learned that they had two new cooks. No problem, it's going to take longer. Cool. Waitress kept our drinks filled, was friendly, explained things. No problem. Food arrives, my daughter's tenders and fries arrived. Only 2 of three tenders. Seriously overcooked tenders. My daughter ate one and left the other. My wife only has her scrambled eggs and bacon. We learn then that they were out of biscuits and they just started them. It would be twenty minutes. My sandwich and soup were great, no complaints. Overall, we were there for well over an hour and received only a portion of what we ordered, some of it burnt beyond being edible. I thought it would be reasonable to get a discount. Server couldn't help, which I understand, but she got the manager. The manager offered 10% off. The lack of customer service skills displayed by the manager was absolutely wild. BTW, this was the first time I have ever asked to be comped in my life and it was miserable. Strongly suggest bypassing this location. We'll continue to frequent other Bob Evans locations as it's a favorite.

It's okay to have the locals come daily, but HEY IN FRONT OF THE DOOR???? Come on guys, take it to the back corner Hubby grabbed a table against far wall away from the loud talkers while I went to counter to order. No warm greeting, no welcome have a seat, NOTHING but the local men jawwing The lady behind register took my order. I hadn't seen a menu but written out on chalk board above her head was some items so I chose 2 hot dogs for Tony with chili, onions and mustard and I did one with everything which here is chili, slaw, onions, mustard and ketchup and a Pepsi to share since no beer served. Took my seat, she brought our drink and 24 minutes later another lady brought our hot dogs. Now the lady behind the counter, later learned by loud locals was Rachel, she kept calling the chili a sauce when I ordered, but this was NO SAUCE it was chili...hamburger meat, onions, sugar lots of sugar and ketchup, lots of ketchup in her thick hot dog chili. It didn't have a bad taste other than too much suger, ketchup and slightly old from bottom of crock pot. But it is homemade, learned later she made it herself. The slaw was fresh tasting and again sweet, but the freshness was very noticeable and made it the winner on the end product. Onions was not old and odor over-powering so not bad either. A little to heavy on ketchup and mustard, would have tasted better if on the weiner and not the top of slaw to make all messy. The weiner was over cooked, and tough like old shoe leather. I literally had to dissect my hot dog to eat it. The bun was steamed, nice touch. $8.50 for 3 hot dogs and one Pepsi. Okay average price for an okay average Hot Dog. The Best in Jackson County, NO and definitely NOT the best in West Virginia. Unfortunately doesn't rate my TOP 10 list. Would I go back? NO but hey there is a group of locals who love it. Go yourself and give me your opinion. Friendly people though, just loud....hope Shortys daughter gets her car fixed soon!!!

First impression of the inside of the restaurant was great...kind of like speakeasy vibes, cool decor, dark. We were greeted by the water waiter who offered us three types of water to choose from. Waitress came over and took our orders. First thing to come out was the Waygu Beef Carpaccio. I took a pic of it but it didn't save to my phone for some reason but it was a solid 10/10. That garlic horseradish aioli was amazing. Secondly, my dad's meal came with a salad, he chose ceasar which might have had the best croutons on it that I've ever had. Bread was also served which was a sourdough, I believe, with 2 butter options (regular and garlic) and an olive oil. Very good. Dad's meal was the 14 oz bone in ribeye with a one pound loaded potato. He said all was very good. For my meal, I got the Cajun cream pasta with steak. It was perfection. There is nothing bad I can say about this dish other than I didn't think it was spicy at all. Didn't matter though because the flavor was great. With the Father's Day special, dads got a dessert and an old fashioned with their meal as well. For dessert, he got the lemon blueberry cheesecake. I took a bite of it and it was so good. The reason I didn't give this experience 5/5 stars is because the service was lacking. Typically, I factor in if the restaurant is busy. I'll start by saying, they were not busy. Out of the 13 or so tables, 6 were occupied including us. Our waitress maybe had us and another table she was waiting on. The waitress was very nice but I had to ask for items a couple times. Bread, drink refills, etc. The water waiter filled our drinks many times and then he stopped coming around. I asked the waitress for refills on our drinks and ended up having to remind her. I know technically it was the water waiters job so I'm not faulting her entirely because she did end up being the one to fill our glasses. At the end, she did tell us it was one of her first nights there so then we understood some of the hiccups. Again, very nice and certainly not a horrible waitress. She did great for the most part. We will definitely be back to try more menu items. Highly recommend- go try it out. Enjoy some food pics I took.

Anyway, they have amazing food here and really unique vibe. Outside you'll find a ton of locals who ride in on their side by sides. Right next door is an authentic Appalachian Moonshine Distillery so you can hit up two great places at once. They do a burger of the month here which is what I get almost every time and boy does it smack! One time they had a burger with a crab cake on top...amazing. Another time it had melted cheese and Frito's...also amazing. Even their regular plain Jane burgers are amazing. I would pair the burger of the month with one of the drinks of the month. Once they had this Apple Butter Old Fashioned and I've never had anything quite like it before or since...it was outstanding and even better that it used locally made apple butter. The fried pickle chips are my favorite appetizer. Wings are also a favorite. Fries or onion rings are both great options as sides for your burgers. I really haven't explored much else on the menu past the burgers since I can't get over how fantastic they are. I love all of the boat themed decor inside. The place is absolutely massive and I've never had to wait for a table. I have eaten at both a table and the bar, great service at either. The parking lot is gravel and on a hill. It might be hard to traverse in the winter with a lot of snow and in the summer if you arrive on a motorcycle just be aware that a lot of the gravel is loose on the hill so it might be a little squirrely getting down to the parking lot. I do plan on starting a Best of WV list and this will definitely make the cut.

Our Saturday was busy, he mowed most of the day and after errands I joined my 2 beautiful nieces from Charleston at the Ripley Pool!! We definitely had some fun in the sun!! Instead of cooking out, which was our original plan, we decided to go to the Fairplains Yacht Club and arrived about 6pm. We had to wait about 15 minutes, so I went to the bar and purchased him a Budweiser in a bottle. They were out of PBR due to strike at the Beverage delivering company! I had to purchase it there, due to fact they can't transfer to the table. Our waitress was Erin, she is so nice, sweet and attentive! Tony already had his bar beer, so I ordered a Half-Cut Tea w Lemon & Lime! Tony went with the Half Rack of Smoked Ribs with a Baked Potato w Butter & Sour Cream & Wilbur Beans *Baked Beans w Pulled Pork Bits Baked in it! (Very delicious )it also came with a roll... I ordered 6 Bone-In Smoked Wings w a side of Buffalo Ranch for dipping and also Blue Cheese for me and Ranch for Tony! We only had to wait about 20 minutes, so we chatted (which is hard due to noise level) and people hilarious The food was amazing!! Not a fan of Roll, its reheated in microwave so very hard and rubbery after about 6 minutes, they should be kept in warming oven or something...it was undesirable!! But hey, not judging whole meal on just that rubber ball !! The Ribs were amazing and a generous portion! I took a small section for myself and gave him 3 of my 6 wings. I also took a bite or 4 of his amazing Wilbur Beans...they are KILLER!! The Baked Potato was so delicious so I took about 1/3 of the potato and wish I had ordered my own, but my appetite is so crappy lately!! I hate to waste food and over order!! We are definitely going back! Highly recommend and if you are there on Saturday evening after 5pm...the Ribs are simply devine!!! Our check was $42 w taxes and all and left her 23% tip...it was a great relaxing dinner at the Yacht Club w cold beer and delicious food with OUTSTANDING Service from Erin!
