Had a very good dinner at Courtside Bar and Grill. We had draft Margaritas with mushroom Swiss burger and fries. The fries were the best I ever had. Nice and crispy. Our server was excellent!!! The place was really busy we had to wait an hour to be seated but we were never rushed once seated. The restaurant is right across from the Gallipolis Christmas Lights. So instead of waiting for our table we walked through the lights. Actually that was the reason for our trip, dinner at the restaurant was a bonus. read more

Took my family there for dinner. We had three dinners and an appetizer. My son's hamburger & fries was okay. every thing else we had was awful. Should have just gone to McDonald it would have been better and a lot cheaper. $80 plus a tip for dog food. Obviously won't be back. read more

Usually a fun place to hang out, play pool, and drink. A good time but they have roaches and I wouldn't eat there nor sit my drink down. We ate at Courtside Bar and Grill on a busy Thursday night while in Gallipolis to see the spectacular Christmas lights across the street at the City Park. Our food and service were very good despite being so busy. We enjoyed a Caesar salad, chicken salad croissant, chicken wings, a patty melt, a hot honey chicken sandwich, French fries, and the best fried mushrooms I've had in a very long time. We stopped by before seeing the Christmas lights in the park. I loved that it is located directly across the street from the park. We had a party of seven and we were seated promptly. This is a pretty large dining area and there were lots of customers. Our waitress was courteous and efficient. The menu had lots of selections that included vegetarian options. Our orders came out quickly and we enjoyed the tasty food and drinks in a relaxing atmosphere. Then we all saw Gallipolis in lights. read more

Courtside never disappoints, we go a few times a year for family get togethers and service is always awesome and the food is delicious.

One of the first things that we noticed when we walked in is that it is very spacious. Would be great for bigger groups! And speaking of big, the portions sizes were awesome! The prices do reflect that a bit so just be prepared. We had a jalepeño queso (which was better than some Mexican places) as an appetizer. My friend got the Walleye, which she didn't hate and said was okay, but it wasn't her favorite. I got a full rack of ribs and they were definitely a little fatty (not fall off the bone either), but the flavor was there! Can't complain! The wait staff was also super friendly. read more

Myself and a friend stopped here for the first time yesterday. It's reasonably priced and the portion size was great, I only managed to finish my fries and half of my Reuben sandwich. Everything came out hot and the fries were really good. The first time I went was great. This time many things were wrong. The ice tea was warm and immediately melted the small amount of ice in it. Had to ask the server, Crystal C, twice for another cup of ice but she never brought it and finally my husband went looking for ice. The salads were wilted and warm. The onion sticks were cold. The reuben sandwich was cold, almost like it hadn't been grilled, but just assembled and put on a plate. The walleye was wet and had too much discolored skin in it. The ribs were acceptable. Tony and I stopped here for lunch while traveling through Galiapolis, Ohio. It is located on Main street across from a park on the Ohio River..maybe the court house used to stand here? We always try to eat around the courthouse locations in small towns. Tony and I were seated somewhere near the middle of the restaurant in a booth. We looked over the menu and ordered our drinks. Tony went with Budweiser on draft and I went with Pepsi Soda. We ordered separate burgers to share. He chose the Mushroom Swiss burger with a side of Onion Strings and I went with the Spicy Chipotle Burger with French Fries... We didnt' have to wait long for our food, but hands down the Onion Strings was the best thing we ate. We divided the burgers and attempted to eat them but the meat was so darn dry. It was medium rare, which we like but NO JUICES at all came out of the burger..it just wasn't a good sandwich..neither one of them.. We both agreed we would not go back. The check with tip and taxes was $30.. I can't say I recommend this location, but you should definitely leave a review if you eat there.. read more

Good quality food, pretty decent selection of draft beers. They also have 6-7 "specialty" mixed drinks. You know, the kind that come in neon colors and have novelty names. The menu has everything from steaks, to sandwiches, to burgers - everything was good! This place is HUGE and was pretty full the night we were there. We were in town for a work trip and a friend suggested Courtside. The location is really cute. It's next to a park and is along the river. It was Tuesday and there was a burger special. My coworkers all got burgers and theirs looked delicious. I got the black bean burger and it was pretty flavorless. I was a little disappointed but the fries were good. read more

This has been my local bar and grill for years. I have went there and enjoyed the food for quite some time now until as of late. The food is grossly overpriced (almost $30 for a bone in pork chop!!!), there is no substitutions for anything on the menu so if you want to add cheese and bacon to your side of fries well it's an extra $11, the beer most of the time is overdue on a new keg or selection is constantly low. The only saving grace of this establishment is the service. Every time I do go the service is always great. I hate to write such a review when I am always treated like family when I go. But I will say the owner is not the greatest in my personal opinion. I wish this place could get back to its old glory... In it's prime, courtside was my go to choice of dinner as I would go quite often (even by myself) to get a great meal for a quality price. This review is coming from a guy who spent seven years working in restaurants. Me and a colleague were looking for a local sports bar with some decent food. Yeah, I saw the reviews that said the food was not that good. But I thought what the heck let's give it a shot. I had a taste for a burger. Their menu looks great. I saw the the reviews that consistently said that their burgers were overcooked. I shared that with the server and she assured me that the kitchen would cook my burger right. But, when I got it, it was about as dry as a hockey puck. I took a couple bites of the burger and waited for the server to come back. My plan was to order another... I was in no rush. But she was nowhere to be found and I was hungry so I just ate it. I probably would've been as equally satisfied if I had wet sawdust with some cheese on it. The real catcher, was my colleague who ordered the walleye. He asked me if I wanted to have a taste. And I did because by burger sucked and his fish looked good. I took a bite and I swear that it tasted like gasoline. He told me after-the-fact that that's why he asked me to taste it. Because he thought the same thing. He didn't tell me until after I tasted it. He wanted to make sure that it wasn't just him. We told the server and she made it some excuses about the oil that they use. Frankly, I think that it was the fisherman who might have contaminated there catch with gasoline. I know there is nothing in the kitchen that taste like gasoline. We saw her tell the manager and we even saw him take a bite of the fish. The guy never got out of his chair to say a word to us. That pissed me off. Now, it's possible that you have a guest at a restaurant who is just unable to be pleased. But that's not the situation -- two of us independently tasted the gasoline. The server offered to replace the meal, so my colleague ordered wings. After 15 minutes of waiting, the server explained that the reason they weren't delivered sooner is because the cook wanted to deliver some wings that were just sitting around. And she insisted that he cook fresh ones. That's why the long wait. (Honestly, I think it's because she forgot to put the order in. But didn't want to take the blame) Sometimes you got a bad meal. That's understandable. But there is no excuse for crappy service. Long story. But I would rather go to Buffalo Wild Wings before I go to this place again. read more

1st time I've been in a year or more. Got the southwest spicy burger and must say was very pleased. Cooked to a perfect medium not hot but spicy for a good sweat. Great service by our server a girl named Mandy Sue. Friendly and fast. Will be back again. read more

Stopped here for lunch as we were passing through the area and while the service was friendly it was a bit slow. The food was pretty good. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was good size and had a lot of spice/flavor. My friend had the grouper sandwich. It was enough food for two. He enjoyed it. My other friend had the grilled chicken sandwich and enjoyed his as well. I liked the onion straws. They had a reasonable selection of beers available. The prices were reasonable. It sure beat eating fast food. I would eat here again. read more

Want to give you a heads up if you are visit this place from out of town. Called ahead a week in advance for a party of 25. We were in town for a tournament and wanted to try this bar/grill. Our table was ready when we arrived and our orders were taken within 20 minutes. We expected to wait for our food with a big group. After 2 hours we inquired how much longer. Our server said awhile... we asked the manager and he was rude saying we hadn't be there 2 hours. We asked for our order to be canceled and we left! Once we told the manager we were leaving he said our food would not be ready for another hour. So glad we left and we won't recommend this place to anyone. read more

My partner and I both got burgers for lunch on Wednesday here. I got the bacon burger with American cheese. It was decent, even though it only had one small piece of bacon. My partner had the mushroom burger which was slimy. The actual burgers were bland and the buns seemed like Walmart store bought. The patty was about a 1/4 pound. The fries seemed fresh but bland. Small fry portion. We had to wait a few minutes for ketchup and mustard while the server talked to someone which was frustrating because we had our food in from of us. She was nice and fast for the rest of the meal. Their beer menu was good compared to the rest of town. Huge dance floor and pool tables. My husband and I came here for lunch today. He's been before and has talked about it several time. It did not disappoint. Atmosphere was great. TV's playing everywhere. Music was not too loud so you were able to hold a table conversation without feeling like you had to yell. Salads were fresh. I had the Gargonzola Alfredo. It was good but pasta was a little bland (but I ordered without the blue cheese). My husband had the Brushetta Chicken. It was amazing! The servers were amazing and kitchen staff very helpful. Sports bar with a barebones atmosphere, BUT the food is very tasty, portion sizes are ample and the prices are reasonable. They were busy on a Friday night during their prime hour(s) but the wait was fairly short despite COVID restrictions. The waitstaff was superb. Just had the most amazing prime rib nothing really fancy just seasoned right and cooked perfect... It was so tender you cut it with a fork.. My only complaint was no rolls or bread who wants to eat a pound of meat with no bread?... It reminded me of how good prime rib was supposed to be when it was done right. The burger lunch specials are great however if you plan on drinking at the bar at night make sure you bring cash. The waitress said my two drinks was $12 and she swiped my credit card and I wrote $15 including tip. The next day when i checked my bank statement it said they charged me $17. I don't care about the 2 dollars but it's the principal. Her stupidity has made me not go in there anymore. read more
