They tasted like leftovers we had brought home and thrown in the air fryer. When we asked the waitress if they had a deep fryer (they have multiple things on the menu you'd expect to be fried) she said no they had an air fryer. These were some of the worst onion rings we've ever had. So bad in fact, likely the first time I have ever seen my husband leave rings behind. If you want ambiance and a drink (we didn't try the bar menu) give them a try. If you want food, go somewhere else first. In fact, I remember coming here about 30 years ago with Mom and Dad Pickett, so coming back always brings back a few memories. The new owners have done a beautiful job giving The Corner a fresh new look while continuing the tradition of this longtime local favorite. The restaurant has a clean, welcoming style, and the new menu offers a great variety of choices. I'll admit, I do miss the old BBQ place and some of those familiar favorites, but I was pleasantly surprised by the new menu. There really is something for everyone, and they've done a nice job keeping some of the family favorites while adding new options. Our food came out hot and was really good! And the burgers are real hamburger--not frozen patties, which definitely makes a difference. It was really nice to see a place that has been part of this community for so many years getting a fresh new beginning while still honoring where it came from. It was a hot steamy 4th of July day when we made the trek to Las Fajitas. I mean, for this west coaster, the heat was brutal. I mentioned to my daughter that I can deal with dry heat, but throw in the humidity and stick a fork in me, I'm done. Heat is heat dad, she said. Deal with it. Then deal me out! But of course, I dealt with it, and thanks to the great folks at Las Fajitas, I wasn't dealt a bad hand. Ahhh a cool breeze hit us as we opened the door. That's worth five stars right there!
