The food was really tasty and comforting, however my only issue are the prices of buffet. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. (Plus I can't quite give 4.5, otherwise they'd get 4.5 stars rather than 4.) If it's in your affordability, I'd recommend stopping for a bite with your family or group of friends. (Note: The roasted brussel sprouts & little flaky danishes are DELICIOUS!)

The service was good seated quick on a high top and the server got our orders in fast and the food was out as well. The Mac n cheese eggrolls were new and interesting. Outside was crispy and crunchy and you bite into a soft Mac n cheese pieces. I ordered the my first rodeo sandwich. It came with chicken, bacon, jalapeños, and the side of vegetables for the sandwich lettuce, tomatoes, onion. The chips are their speciality homemade kettle chips. Those were savory and crunchy. I think they can do a better job with sharing daily specials for the food I know they specialize in beer but I did not try any. Server jumped quick into starting us with drinks. Especially for a tourist like me there should be a welcome since this is a very dandy spot to have a restaurant. So service was a 2/5 food was a 3/5.

For example, you can have a root beer float but not a ginger beer float even though they have ginger beer. You can only get 4 things on your pizza, not 5. No substitutions on the specialty pizzas. Sometimes the service is amazing but sometimes not. Don't get there within half hour of closing because they want to be gone at closing time. Ambiance is beautiful!

As for the meal, everyone in my party seemed pleased with their orders. I enjoyed the Burrito Vaquero, but the best thing brought to our table was the guacamole. As good as I've ever had, honestly. They've been slingin' chicken for decades from Miller's on the West Side of Athens. They have a…read moremorning crowd of people who work with their hands loading up on breakfast sandwiches and then a steady stream until the 7pm close. So don't get a hankering for the best chicken tenders (each one is essentially a whole flattened breast) or the more old school offerings like fried hearts, gizzards, or livers. You can get those in bulk and you might ask who would ever...? My high school crew does once a year when the loser of our previous year's fantasy football league caters the next year's draft, that's who. The reason to go is the fried chicken but you can order skinless if you want to behave. They also sell biscuits and multiple sizes of cole slaw, mashed potatoes and gravy, and potato salad. You can dine in at one of probably ten tables and a surprising number of people do. But for me it is about a bucket and some sides for a picnic or that quick decision when plans to make dinner at home go sideways. Parking for 10 or so cars available in front and it is rarely full for long if at all. As a college town, Athens' restaurant scene typically caters to the students. And Miller's is definitely student friendly. But while the students flock to the latest thing (new Cane's on Court Street) the locals know that Miller's is Athens true chicken king. The family business has earned loyalty over the generations. And just know, if you are back in Athens looking for some chicken nostalgia in late summer, make sure you don't land on County Fair Week in August. That is the one week a year they are closed at Miller's.

We ordered the Mothman Burrito and the Mothman Chimichanga and I would have loved to try the Mothman margarita as well but we had to order to go and I was driving. We were really happy with the food. My husband had the shredded chicken Mothman burrito and they use a queso and tomatoes to decorate the top and extra tortilla to make the wings. The burrito had good flavor but it wasn't overpowering and you could really taste the chile verde. I thought I had just ordered myself a small chimichanga but it actually turned out to be a dessert chimichanga and I could not have been more excited. It was like a chocolate banana crepe with cinnamon syrup. It was super delicious and the prices here are so reasonable! They also gave us some chips and salsa and the salsa was peppery with a roasted flavor and just the consistency that we like. We were smiling and really enjoying our food and that's definitely what it's all about.
