Great hotspot in Ripley! Around the inside of the building has different local sports teams and activities that students participant in sponsored by Pete's. Food was also very good and decently inexpensive. Loved to see how this place not only makes great food but also plays an amazing role in helping out the community. The ice cream is yummy too. Definitely give it a try!!

This place was an unexpected find. They have really good food and friend staff. Service was great and it will remind you of your youth when you have one of their hotdogs. Such a nostalgic place.

Pete's is a dinky little place along the road; I almost missed it. Inside are a few tables and a counter. There are actually many menu options besides hot dogs, but since they seem to be the local favorite I gave them a shot. They're good dogs, but I don't get the fascination- there was nothing unusual about them. Nice fresh bun, decent meat; a little skinny, and not particularly tasty. Not bad, just plain. I had the special: two dogs, chips, drinks. I got both with chili, shredded cheese, and ketchup. The chili, now, that was good. Presumably homemade, and added a great flavor to the dogs. The whole combo, though, was more of a lunch or a snack than the dinner I hoped for. Prices are amazingly low. There is plenty to choose from on the menu- burgers, tacos, etc. Service is good and friendly. Not sure I'd go out of the way to eat here, but if it was in my neighborhood I'd drop in once in awhile.

I was greeted a young gentleman named Gabe Comer, he was so polite and the glizzys here were astonishing. They were so big and tasted so good. An easy 5/5 for me

A dog with everything- nice job!

The set up is hilariously insane, worth the stop alone. The cashier was fun and friendly, and the graffiti in the women's room was inspiring! I have a basic bitch stomach, so got the "Puppy" with just ketchup. Sproßling got the Mothman, garnished with I believe onion rings and 1000 Island. Husband got his smothered in jalapeños. We split a full size onion rings, which were hot and tasty. We all had Gold Peak tea. The dogs tasted great, if I had a normal stomach I would have gotten a second one. As it was, we were in and out and back on the road quick as a wink!

We planned a trip to Williamsburg, VA over the week after Christmas. Coming from SoIN/Louisville KY area we are going I-64 E. About 200 miles later (and about 20 miles round trip out of the way) we ended up at Hillbilly Hot Dogs. So about the food... you'll see the pics of the dogs we ordered. Not fantastic hot dogs, but a good experience. The service was impeccable. If you left a tip the cashier sang a song. She had a really nice voice too! This place has a 3 choices for huge hot dogs with a couple of pounds of toppings. The Homewrecker, the Widowmaker, and Pick Yer Wrecker. We saw a guy and his wife eating one as we were leaving, and it was epic. It was a fun place to go to see some the nostalgia in the "old-time" things hanging as the decor.

But back to this wonderful little jewel on the side of the road. They have been in business 49 yrs, since 1968...this was my first time here, and I am already pleasantly surprised. We ordered 2 hot dogs each trying their deliciously advertised Original sauce, plus small order onion rings, and 2 HOMEMADE ROOTBEERS!!! They also offer home made Lemonade, both come in 1/2 gallon take home jugs...they also make Root Beer and Orange Crush Ice Cream Floats, Next Time A Def !!! HIGHLY recommend Bammy's Hot Dogs! We love the quintessential WV hot dog with chili sauce, onions,…read moremustard, and Cole slaw, so it was our mission to try as many as possible during our visit. I saw this one Yelp and loved that it was locally owned and focuses primarily on hot dogs and similar foods. Although they also put ketchup on their WV dogs, we opted for them without and they were by far our favorite!! Located on what appears to be a main drag of town, it's unassuming but also spacious if someone wants to sit and eat. The people who run it are super friendly, accommodating, and happy to help - something that's truly hard to come by in Florida. As for the food, it was SO good! We ordered 12 WV hot dogs, 1/2 regular and 1/2 with the Cole slaw on the side for better leftovers. Not only were they delicious, but they were happy to put the Cole slaw on the side so they made great leftovers too! We also tried the corn dogs, fries, onion rings, and fried bologna sandwich (another WV staple we are trying everywhere we can). The corn dogs were corn dogs and the fries were okay (we had gotten them for the kids), but the onion rings were very tasty and the fried bologna sandwich was amazing!! Their sauce is both slightly sweet but also has a nice kick - almost like Arby's sauce with some spice, and we all loved it! We have since tried 2 other bologna sandwiches and 3 other WV hot dogs and none have been as good as Bammy's so far! They definitely know how to do WV comfort food! If you ever find yourself in NW WV, you've got to try this place! E
