a hamburger and a bowl of soup
    Mike B.

This is a perfectly serviceable restaurant. For something attached to a hotel, it's much better than it has any right to be. For fifty dollars, you can get yourself a bison burger, a french onion soup, and a giant butter tart. My take away is that the burger is alright. There's no sauce to make it feel like something spectacular. It's just bison on a bun. Which isn't bad, it's just not special. The french onion soup does what it needs to, but there's no real powerful flavour. It plays it safe. Which is probably the best way to appeal to a wide audience, but never be marked the best. There are some frozen ones you can microwave in five minutes that compare, if not defeat this one. But, it's a step up from fries for only four dollars more. The butter tart was ten bucks, and it should have been the crowning glory. It was alright. It's 1000 calories of alright. There's some ice cream on it, and it's doing its thing, and the hard sides were nice. But, the other desserts beat it by a mile. The staff though, they're superb! They're doing amazing jobs, keeping spirits high, and taking care of all the tables to provide everyone with a grand experience. I would 100% come back here again. It's not the best. And it's a bit pricey. But it does a fine job at all the things. Next time, I figure I'll aim for the ribs.

First time here. We were two for lunch. They don't have a lunch menu. The place was half empty but filling up gradually. We were greeted by friendly staff. I ordered their spicy chicken sandwich while my colleague ordered the tuna Poké bowl. The chicken had no spice with a descent side salad. The Poké bowl seemed a little sparse. Disappointed that the had no lunch menu.

Although we weren't staying at the Doubletree hotel that this restaurant is connected to, the menu looked interesting so we decided to give it a try. It doesn't feel at all like a "hotel restaurant" - it has a separate entrance and has a sports bar sort of vibe. I noticed immediately that our hostess and waitress were very friendly. They have quite a few specialty drinks, I got the Port Carling Cooler and loved it, and also had a taste of the Strawberry Basil Breeze which I thought was pretty good. For my meal I had the Garden Burger (their veggie burger). Everything on it was great, particularly the turmeric mayo, but the burger itself was just okay. Good texture-wise, but not a lot of flavour. Drinks took a minute to come out but the food came out super fast! Overall it was a pretty good experience, definitely worth it if you're staying at the hotel or nearby.

I'm glad this restaurant was connected to the hotel I was staying at. Friday's are pretty busy and expect to wait if you want a table after 7pm. The prices are decent. Ordered the Chicken Parmesan and a Somersby. The food was dishes out neatly and everything tasted really well. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the restaurant was clean and neatly designed. Pedro g went super fast. I plan on stopping here during my next visit!

I'm so happy this restaurant was located at the hotel we were staying at. We went back two hours later and ordered more food ( after our workout). The service was great. It's got the pub/bar feel and is very low key. There are lots of big screen tvs and they conveniently have phone charging stations at the bar. They have daily specials on drinks and I was tempted to order one. I'm on a restrictive diet and was very particular about my order. I got the blackened chicken baked on top of plain greens with goat cheese. The dish came with a generous amount of goat cheese. The chicken was well seasoned and tasty. My second dish was greens salad w/o dressing with shrimp (made without butter or oil) seasoned. It was really good. My family ordered chicken wings, slightly breaded, with Thai chili sauce ( really good) chicken parmesan, fish tacos, shrimp penne pasta, chicken pesto with vegetables and the chicken fajitas. The reason for the four stars: 1. Fish tacos not seasoned. It was very plain; 2. It took too long to get our food ( group of six); 3. We asked for hot sauce and flaked chili's and it was brought out once we'd pretty much finished our food. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

The second is from 9 pm till close. - This restaurant is a part of Sandman Signature Toronto Hotel. - It's the prettiest Moxies I have ever been to. After work, I take backroads home. I take Attwell Drive often. At the corner of this street and Reading Court, I always see the Residence Inn. I didn't know that there was this Moxies at Sandman Signature Toronto Hotel further down until I did a search for Moxies near my workplace. I love happy hour deals these days. I came here after work last Wednesday to check out this eatery. It's at the end of a secluded cul de sac. I actually want to stay at Sandman because it was so beautiful and quiet when I was there. There was plenty of parking. I backed into an available spot and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a cheerful female staffer. She led me to a booth near the corridor to the hotel from the restaurant. It was also where the washrooms were. I was near a couple of women with a baby. The baby was sweet and was quiet. It was my lucky day! This Moxies does have happy hour between 2 pm and 5 pm. I got here just after 3 pm. Perfect! The interior is gorgeous. It's the prettiest Moxies that I have ever dined in. I'd come back just to be in such a beautiful setting. I liked the separate room with the Blue Jays game on. There were a couple of guys watching the game there. Another special detail about this Moxies is that there's a test kitchen menu. It was my first time seeing it at any Moxies. My server was Joe. He was polite and nice. I got these items: - Hibiscus refresher - Dry ribs - Miso tuna crispy rice The hibiscus refresher was a part of the test kitchen menu. I got the non-alcoholic version. It was delicious. The hibiscus was so good with lime and cinnamon flavours. You can add tequila, but I liked it the way that it was. When I lived in Winnipeg, my go-to order was dry ribs with whatever salad I was craving. I relived half of it by getting dry ribs. It was great having them again. They were meaty and yummy, with the perfect amount of seasoning and salt. I was happy! I didn't know what miso tuna crispy rice was. So, I had to order it. It's essentially sushi-like pieces. There were six pieces of perfectly crispy rice mini bricks topped with miso tuna and mayo. I loved the contrast between the crunchy rice and fresh tuna mixture. It was delightful having this appetizer. I needed a drink. The only downside was that my server didn't drop by until I was done with my appetizers. I ordered a Diet Coke when he did, which I got immediately. It was much needed and icy! I was way too full to get any dessert. I got the bill instead. I tipped and tapped. Done! I used the women's washroom before I left. It was super fancy. It had a seating area in the middle of all single stalls. Wow! I'd come back here simply to enjoy good food and drinks in the most gorgeous eatery. Such a wonderful gem of a find! (181)

My server kept calling traditional wings naked (though they are distinct on the menu) so that's something that might be useful to keep in mind. Traditional wings are breaded. The first wing order is larger than the subsequent ones (I got given 13 wings), so choose well! The wings are very small (not really an issue for all you can eat) & come with the tips (the first non-Chinese place I've seen to do that - probably so the mid-sections don't look even smaller). Naked wings can be a bit dry, but the breaded ones are less so (the breading helps). There're no sides. Daytona beach was a sweet & spicy sauce which was decent. Garlic parmesan tasted decent. There were some other herbs in there. The flavour was more complex than usual garpar but I don't think it worked that well. General Tso had a good, well-rounded flavour & felt like half a fire (not 2). Medium was decent. Service was above average. The server was very proactive about asking if I wanted more wings.

We were seated and our server was pretty attentive. I ordered the Texas Cheesesteak with a side of Tater Tots. My girlfriend ordered the mixed sliders. It came with two Cheeseburger sliders and two Buffalo Chicken Burgers. The plate also came piled with curly fries. The Texas Cheesesteak was full of flavor the meat had a hamburger helper vibe. I can see people not liking it but, it was up my alley. The Cheesesteak was topped with a Nacho Cheese sauce, Pico de gio and Onions. The taters tots were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My girlfriends Sliders were also great. The Buffalo sliders were the highlight juicy chicken tender dipped in Buffalo sauce with a pickle. It was a great a combo. The burgers were okay. They lacked flavor but nothing some mayo couldn't help. The curly fries were also crispy and delish. This was my first time at the Airport Hooters and it was much better then the downtown Toronto location. The food tasted better, service was better and the place was cleaner. Hooters also has one of the best Cheesesteaks in the city as well. So it's not bad for a chain.

I don't think that I had ever dined at a Fionn McCool in my life before this visit. Yes, I lead a sheltered life. After spending a day getting my CPR certification at work (I passed with flying colours and I miss my mannequin... haha!), I needed dinner. I decided to head back to the hotel and give Fionn McCool's a try. I hauled my stuff back to my room and simply headed over to this restaurant with my purse. I was immediately greeted at the host area. The woman seated me in a quaint corner. The padded bench seats were high, even for someone like me who is fairly tall. I was comfy. My server came over roughly seven minutes later. I didn't mind. It was enough time for me to review the beverages and food menus. I wanted wings. I ordered 1.5 pounds of wings in the buff (that is, they don't have any flour coating on the wings). I went with salt and pepper. The wings come with veggies. I chose ranch dip. I also ordered a Diet Pepsi. The raspberry blood orange cosmo intrigued me. I went for it. It came out first. It was delicious. The fruit flavours worked well together. There were crushed raspberries at the bottom of my glass. I didn't waste anything. I highly recommend this drink. My wings came next. Another server brought them out and indicated that I be careful. They were hot out of the fryer. I got two drumsticks out of the batch of wings. They were yummy! I was so happy. I liked dipping my celery and carrot sticks into the ranch dressing. Wings are in the appetizer section of the menu. It can completely serve as dinner. I felt like dessert. I asked my server for a dessert menu. She seemed so happy that I wanted more. I ordered the brownies and vanilla ice cream. I was so happy when my dessert came to my table. The presentation was cheerful and nice. I dug in. The brownies were moist, fudgy, and scrumptious. Vanilla ice cream balanced out and complemented the brownies nicely. My server came over and asked what I thought. I was in heaven eating everything. This eatery surprised me. I sat there and realized that there was live music. An older man was playing his guitar and singing during my entire time there. He played a bunch of classic rock songs. He had a great voice. I appreciated his talent and I dined, clapping after each of his songs without flinging my wings across the restaurant. I didn't realize that Fionn McCool's accepts Scene points. It's known as the Pubs on the app. I managed to get 20x the points my loading an offer on my app. Nice! My server was friendly and helpful. She got my bill and asked whether I wanted to charge my meal to my room. I paid with a credit card instead. Easy peasy. There is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. Many folks drop by to watch the game (Leafs were playing when I was here), have a drink or meal, and leave. I had a great experience. The manager came over to ask how I was. He also said goodbye to me when I left. I haven't seen that in a while. I hope to eat here more often. (449)
