The Export Deli is under new ownership and is now J & M Export Deli. My family and I have visited…read morehere on three occasions, all Saturday afternoons, for lunch. It's a small little deli/cafe in Export, PA. Although it's not completely rennovated, it is clean and welcoming. I especially liked the gas burning stove in the seating area. It kept us nice and warm during these cold winter visits. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered at the counter and they served us when our food was ready at one of their many tables. We've ordered many of their sandwiches. They are overflowing with meat and cheese and served on thick sliced bread. They are made to order with freshly sliced meat (right out of their deli case). My daughters ordered a small pizza. It was hot, cheesy, and delicious. (Their words, not mine!) In addition to sandwiches, they have homemade soups. We've tried the chili, stuffed pepper, and wedding soup. They were all very tasty with good stuff in every spoonful. One of the things we like best about J & M Export Deli is they sell Boar's Head lunch meat by the pound. We've gone home each time with various meats and cheeses that were very fresh and lasted all week for lunches. The price was at least $2 cheaper than the grocery store, too! I highly recommend visiting during the week or on Saturdays for an inexpensive, fresh, and delicious meal. You will not regret it and will go back every chance you get!

The chipotle mayo is so flavorful and has a healthy dose of spice! They have many sandwich options and they all look so tasty. I can't wait to go again! The bread (we had the hoagie bread) had a fantastic flavor and wasn't too bready- which is key to a good hoagie. Inside is on the smaller side and definitely an eat and go kind of place. They do have some outdoor seating which I would maybe prefer or to go would be great too! Bonus for it being along the bike trail!

TL;DR - Solid deli, decent food, and a collegiate atmosphere to tie everything together. Honestly, the place is a 3.5 locale, but the food was really good and the portions were massive. The deli is more than it appears from the outside - part deli, part candy store, part convenience store, and all very welcoming I enjoyed looking around the store as I waited on my food. What m wife and I ordered were the 12" Chicken Philly (me), and the #7 off their board consisting of ham and some other meats I can't recall at the moment, a 12" as well. These appeared as massive, bulging subs filled with everything we asked for. No complaints there. Service was a bit wonky - my sub came out almost immediately, but my wife's order took a strangely long time to make. Not sure as it was one of their run-of-the-mill sandwiches, but it did come out and they were apologetic about the wait. For dessert they have offerings out of a cooler - my wife had a raspberry pie of sorts while I had a Boston Cream Cake. They were fresh and good. In the end, we were both pleased as we had a hankering for subs and we wanted to go local and not big box - the place did not disappoint.

What an idiot, it's worthless now, he's been closed for months and months now he's asking for money so he can re-open. We came across Patsy's and after reading the reviews on Yelp we were sold. When we arrived the owner met us at the back of the store in the deli section and proudly reviewed the menu with us and discussed our tastes. We wanted to measure Pittsburgh against the delis we've visited in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco so we decided on the Italian Hoagie as a familiar item. Patsy's OVER DELIVERED! The owner gave us his reasoning for each ingredient and why he uses the vendors he does while making the sandwich. It was fun to learn the history of where everything came from and why he sourced those particular items. When we arrived home and opened up the wrapping the bread and ingredients smelled just as fresh as the deli itself. The meats were fresh and each had a distinct flavor, the vegetables were crisp, and the bread was everything you hope for from an Italian deli. If we lived in the area Patsy's would be a regular stop for us! Thank you so much for your kindness!
