There have only been a items I have not found at the store in most cases the will find the item for you or recommend a local store in the area to find what you need. Really friendly workers and great selection. Sells loose screws and bolts of misc sizes that big box hardware stores don't sell. I went in this morning to get some parts that I need for my warehouse. When I go to check out there was a older Caucasian female and I was trying to show her a picture of the item # I was trying to buy. She quickly told me that the picture wasn't gonna help her so she started looking for the sku # on the item. And under her breath she said "I don't know where these people come from" So I let the manager know. I've been to this store hundreds of times and never thought they would be racist to a person like myself. I'm a Hispanic male that del very disrespected. Excellent service and the biggest selection of real hardware in Houston. Turner's has the items that the big box stores con't carry. This is a real hardware store in which the people working there know much more than simply on which isle an item is located. This is the kind of hardware store that existed prior to the days of the chain stores. If this store stocks something, it's the place where I will buy it. If you shop here, you'll tire of the useless time spent wandering around so-called home improvement/repair stores that also sell appliances and candy bars. read more

I enjoy purchasing hardware from Turners. They have knowledgeable staff who are ready and able to find what I need. I am in and out of there in no time at all. It's worth driving out of my way to shop there and is easier and faster then the big box stores. Great place! The people are very helpful, friendly, and they know what they're talking about. It seems as though they have EVERYTHING crammed into that store... I was surprised at how much they actually had available. I think I might be able to find almost anything there! It doesn't look like Home Depot or Lowe's inside- but they have knowledgeable people that are very helpful. I have the impression that it's a mom n' pop shop, so I would stop here before going to one of those big places like Lowe's. They have a new loyal customer. This place is the ultimate hardware store. You could probably spend years looking at everything they have in there. I wasted over a hour in Home Depot trying to find a plumbing fitting I needed and well I never did find it because their inventory is so limited. I went to Turner Hardware and not only found it but had help finding it and the other items I decided to get while there. I had a small water leak and needed a few small plumbing parts ...... went to Turner's Hardware .... on Hempstead Hwy ...... between 34th and Lang rd......The blue building with the BIG AMERICAN Flag flying out front...... a salesman will greet you at the front door .....you tell him what you need ....and he takes you to the Right part .... in fact he showed me a MUCH MORE Simple ... EASIER way to fix my problem..... for less than $20 ! ! ! Had I called a Plumber ...... it probably would have cost me several HUNDRED dollars ! ! ! They have Tools ...... electrical ... plumbing ..... paint ...... screws ... bolts ... pipes ....ladders .... etc. So ...instead of "getting Lost" at Home Depot or Lowes .....check them out ....you will be glad you did ! read more

My husband has been going to Turner Hardware for as long as I can remember. I went in today to find out why the items that my husband purchased had two different prices. He purchased 4 packs of the same thing that had $2.29 on two packs and $4.29 on the other two. I asked one of the girls at the counter and they said they would ask the manager. the girls were very polite. The manager finally comes to the counter saying that basically I got lucky that one of his employees made a mistake on pricing. I told him that he might want to take care of that because it was costing him money. He then became very rude and went as far as putting his hand in my face and telling to hush it up and that he has heard enough. Needless to say we will never return to Turner Hardware, His actions today were reprehensible, no manager or owner for that matter should behave that way with a customer. Crooks sold us a used non-working breaker under the pretense of being new for $87.83 usd then claims no returns on electrical parts. Would not give name or card but said he was the owner. It is a shame most Turner 's are good, most would have advised me that I could buy the whole breaker box with up to 11 breakers for $149.00 usd with extra breakers for $3.00-$9.00 usd each. Which I would have gladly bought from him if he was honest. I love small business but I guess I spend my hard earn money at Lowe's or HomeDepot at leased they stand be hind their products. I hope you enjoy your $87.83 usd mr.small business man... p/s I'm about to spend $ 8000.00 in hardware on a remodeling and it will not be with crooks like you. read more

I went to this Hardware store today. They have a few good things but not a lot of variety. The cashiers are young teenagers that are lazy and don't want to look up prices and have attitudes towards customers. I rather shop at Home Depot where there's more variety and better prices. read more
